You walk through a corridor upon a metallic walkway, unknowing what you might find. The setting is alien to you, but it might seem like a submarine or a starship. If it's either the interiors aren't exactly kept in good repair. The smell of smoke permeates the air, it would seem that the crew don't really care about the air quality here, only that it just keeps pumping. Inside of one of the cells you spot a familiar person. A red panda. She is slumped down on the floor, naked, the mask she wears is not the one that you're familiar with but a mossy, wooden mask. She looks up to you, one hand on her belly, and a trail of blood running down her legs. You can hear her voice.. but it's not coming from her mouth. It's channeled straight into your mind. "They took her from me. They killed her again... and again, and again. Whenever I dare to dream they come back." Three humans march right through you and force the girl to her feet. You may call out to them to stop it, but they cannot hear you. One of them removes the mask from the girl, showing her partially damaged face. "Now the third one's gone you can get to work again, eh?" The scene flashes. You're suddenly in another corridor with the same three men taunting and jeering toward a door. They're truely children in men's bodies. Moving closer you can see your wah friend looking through the glass, absolutely no spark of life left in her as she gives that thousand-yard stare. "It's as if I'm being shown what I escaped. What kind of life I had left to live... or rather, that I wouldn't be alive if I hadn't taken that chance." You can hear her in your mind. "I wouldn't have met people like you. The first real friends that I've had. Instead..." One of the man-children presses a button and your friend gets blown out of the airlock, into the cold emptiness of space. "So long, frigid bitch!" He sneers before the three of them walk down the corridor. "I refused to comply. I refused to listen anymore. My world was already destroyed, and my body was weak anyhow." Everything goes black. You wake up, gasping for breath, and then reach toward the wall, the wall that seperates you from your friend. You send a mental call to her, asking for an answer, your enhancements allow you to project your mind to someone nearby after all, and to read them as well. "I am alright," you hear her voice come through into your head. "She is alright as well. It's not every night but it happens often enough that sometimes I'm afraid to go to sleep. That.. what might have been if I had not have saved us from them." After another moment you hear her again. "I'm at the door.. can I come in? Since you saw that perhaps we should cuddle." You open the door to see your red panda friend, no mask, with a very loose shirt and nother else covering her pregnant body. Perhaps it is a good night for some late night ice cream and cocoa.
