Previously on Oranges to Grapes... Rosita and Conner continue their journey to finding the other spirits like Conner, during which the former meets a snow leopard woman named Jessica Winters. She offers to escort her new friend down the path, but they end up at the border of another crystal dome and inadvertedly summoning another Diademon of a different color. Jessica then falls off the ledge and vanishes, leaving Rosita to fend for herself... - Rosita reached behind her back and took out the Poke Ball holding her Maschiff. "Looks like I have no other choice. Maschiff, I choose-" "Rosita, stop!" Conner shouted. "We don't know what happened to the Rockruff that stumbled into the dome, and we don't know what could happen if another Pokemon got involved!" "Then how are we supposed to defend ourselves from that thing!?" Rosita retorted, pointing to the Diademon drawing closer and closer. "It's time, then," Conner answered. "The time has come to reveal the true power of the Sealing Ball I bestowed upon you! Simply raise it up and shout 'Precure Ruination,' and you and I shall become one, strong enough to destroy the crystal monster and save ourselves!" "Distortion World of a time to tell me this now," Rosita said as she produced the metallic black orb given to her, "But here goes nothing!" - Rosita raised the Sealing Ball over her head and shouted, "Precure Ruination!" Conner dissipated into leaves and grass, and they swirled around Rosita and made her clothes turn into green light... then they started changing! First, her torso became surrounded with leaves that clustered onto her until they became a poncho of leaves that left her navel exposed. Next, more leaves spiraled around her waist and became a two-layered skirt that went down to mid-thigh. Then, even more leaves and grass swirled around her forearms and shins until they became green fingerless gloves and high-heeled boots, both with vines for laces. Finally, she threw the Sealing Ball in the air as more green light poured out of the top of her head, and she threw her head back as it became a full head of emerald-green hair. The ball then landed on her chest and became a purple brooch decorated with leaves to look like a lotus in bloom. "Antithesis of forgiveness, Cure Grudge!" - The caracal girl looked down at herself and her new outfit, and was surprised at what she became... but then she remembered that there was still danger as the Diademon was closing in on her. "Okay, I've just transformed into a magical girl... What kind of powers do I have now?" Perhaps I can help, a familiar voice spoke. "Wh- Conner?" Rosita- no, Cure Grudge asked. "How are you talking inside my head?" I told you, we have now become one, Conner explained. Now, try holding your hand out in front of you. "Alright, here goes!" Cure Grudge shot her paw forward, and the laces on her glove unraveled and lashed out at the Diademon, hitting it with enough force to put a few cracks on its clear body! "Oh my you, Conner, it's working!" Exactly, Conner exclaimed. Now, channel your emotions into your attacks and destroy that thing with the power of Grasswither Shrine! "Channel my emotions?" Pretend that thing was the one who took your Maschiff. "Grr..." Cure Grudge imagined the Diademon in an Academy uniform, holding a Quick Ball in its hand... and flipping her the bird! "GIVE ME BACK MY POKEMON!!!" Before the Diademon could move an inch to defend itself, its body was peppered with lashes and lashes of whips that covered it with cracks, until it looked like it could shatter at any second! Now finish it off, Conner ordered. - Cure Grudge leapt into the air and sent out all of her vine laces, and they grabbed the Diademon all over its body! "This is the punishment for your crimes! Precure... Grasswither..." The vines pulled with all their might, and it tore the Diademon apart with each vine coiled around a piece! "FRENZY!!!" The vines flailed all over the place, bludgeoning the pieces into the ground before they smashed them all together in midair! "You have issues!" the Diademon seemed to say before it was shattered into diamond dust. - The Diademon was destroyed, but there was still an issue that needed to be dealt with... "Now let's go find Jessica," Cure Grudge said, and in a flash of light, Rosita and Conner were back. "She may be too confused and angry to make sense of what happened to her... not to mention in a lot of pain." "I'm on it," Conner said, and he created another vine ladder that crawled down the ledge next to the door to Icerend Shrine. Rosita knew it was a shorter ladder than the last one she climbed up, but she still wanted to make sure she could make it to the bottom. So, she worked fast and climbed down, using her claws for extra purchase. Fortunately, the vines held stronger this time... but Conner was looking a little faint. "Ooh... I'm not feeling so hot..." Rosita touched down, and said as she stood by the door, "You want another Kelpsy Berry?" "That would be nice, yes." "Alright, but I'm staying here until I can be certain Jessica is okay." Conner was fed his favorite berry as Rosita winced to imagine what her new friend could be going through, but she remembered how she was trapped in Grasswither Shrine and didn't want to risk history repeating itself... - To be continued.
