Previously on Galarian Days... While Sophia continues to sleep after making an important decision, Zander reports to Wyndon Stadium for the Champion's Cup, but first he reunites with the regrouped Apricorn Rangers and meets their leader, Maizie. (alias GS Commander) After Zander presents her with the completed GS Ball, she releases Celebi from it, and it sends him on an adventure through time before he can protest... - "-the Champion's Cup!?" Zander said, but it was already too late. He and Celebi were already transported from Wyndon Stadium to... an expanse of empty forest. "What the... where am I? Or, perhaps the better question is, when am I?" Celebi simply said, "Bi," and flew through the forest while motioning for Zander to follow. "Hey! Wait for me!" Zander called out, chasing after Celebi as they made their way through the forest. Eventually they came to a snow-covered clearing near a mountain range, and stopped at a particularly large mountain. "Bi! Lebi!" Celebi said as it pointed up towards the top of the mountain, prompting Zander to look up. "You want me to climb that mountain to the top?" Zander asked, and Celebi nodded in response. "Okay, but I don't have any adrenaline rushing through me like last time, so I'm going to need a little help." Celebi knew just what to do, so it closed its eyes and conjured a pulse of blue light around Zander, making him float in midair again. It then carried him up the mountain with him until they made it to the top, where Zander was able to get a better view of where (and when) he was. What he saw was a vast expanse of untamed land of various kinds: a forest, a desert, and mountains as far as the eye can see. There were no buildings, no people, even the Pokemon looked prehistoric! "Whoa... How far back into the past did you send us?" Zander asked in awe of the scenery before him. "Lebi," Celebi answered as it pointed to the sky. Zander looked in that direction, and saw a small speck of cerise light that seemed to be getting bigger with every passing minute. Zander was gently placed onto a ledge so he could watch without being held still. "Huh. Is it my imagination, or is that supposed to be a Wishing Star up there?" Celebi simply shook its head no, and pointed again. Zander looked up and squinted, and saw the cerise light did greatly resemble a Wishing Star, but it still seemed to be growing bigger and bigger with no end in sight! With growing realization, Zander said, "Oh, no... Oh, foot, foot, foot, FOOT! That's no ordinary Wishing Star! That's the meteor Eternatus came on; the GRANDFATHER of Wishing Stars! Why did you send me here!?" Celebi only held up a hand in response, and Zander braced himself for impact. But suddenly, the strangest thing happened: moments before the meteor could crash down to earth, it exploded in midair, sending pieces of it to different places across the land... and some especially large chunks were shattered upon impact in an empty field somewhere in the distance! Fortunately, Celebi and Zander were safely placed where they could witness the phenomenon without being in any danger. "Did... did we just witness something grand here?" Celebi nodded and said, "Bi!" Just then, the impacted places started emmitting pillars of cerise light as the meteor shards buried themselves underground. Taking into account where he was standing, Zander looked at the pillars of light and charted them in his mind... then realized with a gasp, "Wait! We did witness something grand here! The birth of the Power Spots and where Galar Particles come from!" "CELEBI!" Celebi cried out in joy, congradulating Zander's epiphany as it flitted around with glee! Zander straightened up and stood with pride as he said, "Congradulations, world, it's the Galar region!" then slightly cocked his head and added, "Yet, why can't I shake the feeling we forgot something important?" Suddenly, a loud, almost eldrich-sounding roar rang out, and Zander and Celebi flinched before they looked in its direction... only to find Eternatus about to fire off a Dynamax Cannon attack! "That! I forgot about that!" Celebi acted quickly and managed to warp Zander and itself out of there before they could be hit by the beam! - Zander was still braced when Celebi put a small hand to his furry head, making his ears twitch a little. He then relaxed and opened his eyes, and saw that he and Celebi were still okay! "Whew... Thanks for getting us out of there, Celebi." "Lebi bi," Celebi said before petting Zander some more, making his tail wag with a smile. "Heh heh... So, when did you send us to this time?" "Bi celebi," Celebi said as it gestured towards the distance. Zander looked in that direction and saw a large castle made of deep, dark blue stone blocks and bordered with gold trim. Instantly recognizing it as the castle Hammerlocke was built on, he then noticed that instead of the Dragon-type Gym logo-shaped figures he remembered, the castle was instead lit with torches and devoid of buildings... for now. "So, now we're in a more recent past, after the first Darkest Day was stopped?" Zander guessed, and Celebi nodded. "Great! There'll be less chance of upsetting the timeline and changing history that way." "Celebi!" Celebi said as it caught Zander in another Confusion to lower him off the mountain and over the castle, (fortunately, unnoticed by anyone) then once he was on solid ground, it led him through the land that would be later known as the Wild Area; through deserts, fields and past lakes. Zander then suddenly stopped Celebi at the next mountain range and said, "Uh, Celebi? Before I get carried up another mountainside, there's something I have to take care of real quick, if you don't mind." Celebi nodded in understanding, then pointed towards a small corner behind a rock that looked private enough before turning around. "Thank you for understanding, and for respecting my privacy," Zander said as he made his way behind the rock, then did a double-take to make sure he wouldn't be seen. Once he was absolutely positive the coast was clear, he unbuttoned his pants and unzipped his fly before he lowered his underwear to expose his sheath. "Alright, here we go." Zander relaxed his pelvic muscles, and a trickle of urine dribbled out of his sheath before it increased into a steady flow that sprayed onto the rock wall. It then spilled down the wall and collected into a puddle before gravity carried it down the hill between the rock and the wall. The pissing continued for at least 30 seconds before the flow slowed down and stopped, then Zander wiggled the last few drips off of his sheath and redressed his waist. "There, that should do it," he said before zipping back up, then regrouped with Celebi. "Okay, I'm good now. Let's get a move on!" Celebi turned back around and nodded in agreement, then carried Zander up the mountain with another Confusion. Zander looked behind himself and saw the geoglyph near where Turffield was going to be before he was lowered down the other side of the mountain. Once he felt ready to complete his next bound, he looked in front of himself and saw that he was in a small village; presumably what Wedgehurst was meant to be. Celebi kept Zander steady until he felt solid ground under his foot paws again, then broke the hold. Thankfully, Zander was fast enough to avoid being detected, and any eyes that did catch a glimpse of him thought it was only their imagination, then went back to their business. He and Celebi then continued down what would be Route 1 made longer by the absence of Postwick, until Celebi stopped Zander at the entrance of... the Slumbering Weald. "The next stop of our Tour de Gala-" Zander started, but Celebi put a finger to its mouth and his muzzle, signaling for them to be quiet. Zander took the hint and silently followed it through the weald, tiptoeng as delicately as he could while thinking, Foam soles and cushy pads, don't fail me now... Eventually, they came to what looked like a dead end, but Celebi called upon its powers of plants to summon a cluster of vines to part the trees in front of them, revealing a secret passageway that it lead Zander through. Finally, they reached the end of the path, which was a hidden platform that offered a view of the shrine in the center of the weald... and who else did Zander see but the kings of Galar themselves; a man with blond hair in a red cloak, and another man with brown hair in a blue cloak, both of them wearing crowns just like the pictures in the tapestries! Zander was about to gasp, but Celebi quickly clamped his muzzle shut, reminding him to be quiet. Once again, Zander took the hint, and Celebi placed a hand to the side of its head, motioning for him to listen. "May they find peace in their respite," Zander heard the king in blue say, "just as we found peace in Eternatus' defeat." "Indeed," the king in red added. "Now they have left after its destruction, and all that remains is their sword and shield. Come, let us place them upon their tomb as a tribute to their involvement of the grand battle." With that, both kings presented the weapons in question, then the king in red placed the shield in front of the tombstone before the king in blue hung the sword over the shield. "And yet," the king in blue said, "I feel as though we did not deserve our status as kings. While the beasts that used these weapons so extravagantly did the hard work, we, however... did nothing." "What?" the king in red exclaimed. "Are you possibly saying, in all of your wisdom, that you would rather relinquish your royalty?" "What I am saying, in all of my honesty, is that I would rather not carry on upon the back of a lie, but rather travel a truthful path in my own shoes." "Bite your tongue! Did we not both witness the same star that fell from the sky in our youth?" "We have, however-" "And did we not both send a wish upon said star for glory and protection to be bestowed upon us?" "We have." "So, who is to say that the beasts that bore the sword and shield came of their own accord, and not due to our wish?" "...No one," the king in blue relented, submitting to the king in red's ironclad logic. "Then it is settled," the king in red stated. "The Darkest Day was stopped by us, and mainly us. Now, let us away to the Hero's Bath, where we shall rest our weary bones." With that, the king in red left the grave to pursue his request while the king in blue stayed behind to deliver a final prayer. "Our saviors, do not punish my fellow king for our indescretion... yet. But if guilt cannot reach him to make him realize the error of his twisted words before his inevitable end, then may every generation after him be cursed twentyfold!" As soon as the king in blue was out of eye and earshot, Celebi finally let go of Zander's muzzle, letting him breathe through his mouth again. "Huh... hoh... you know... I was holding back... out of respect, right?" "Cele," Celebi said. "So, these men are what ruled Galar back in the day," Zander said after regulating his breathing again. "One of them knew they didn't do diddly-poop during the Darkest Day, but the other didn't want to own up to the fact." Celebi nodded, then motioned for Zander to continue. "So, Zacian and Zamazenta didn't help the kings... they ARE the kings!" Zander realized, then backtracked with, "Well, king and queen, actually... and not neccesarily respectively- The point is, the legend's wrong!" "Bi!" "But, what was the point of- wait a second, wait..." Zander said, thinking back. "Could all this be the very, very important thing that was supposed to give me a push?" Celebi nodded firmly in response. "Well, it worked," Zander stated. "Celebi, take me back to the Champion's Cup in my time. I know what I must do." "Celebi!" Celebi replied, and it conjured up another wave of energy to transport Zander back to the present, now that he had a goal in mind... - Closed captioning sponsored in part by...
