This big tree that Fang stand in front of her was her home and her life. As she looks up with determination and hope, she still thinks about her family and her friends. "I hope they come back to me..." Rewinding the clock a year back, Fang was tasked to do a simple thing; that is to survive 1 day in the woods alone to be officially part of the tribe she was in. All bears in her age were tested to see what skill they were good at so they provide aid to the bear family. Whatever way they accomplish this ritual task were to be determined by the chief and were honored. Fang wanted to make her family proud especially her father who was a proud warrior and a hunter. And she wanted to be the most was either a warrior or hunter! She loves action, running and jumping tree to tree, and was very good at it. The only problem is that to become a warrior or hunter... you had to be a male...and 15 years old...
That didn't stop her. Not. One. Bit. She has seen how her father craft weapons with ease and has crafted them secretly to surprise her dad. "You're better off crafting baskets for us." Said a young group of bear cubs to Fang. She was going to prove them so wrong after this initiation.
The horn whistle has played and all the cubs who is selected to preform, ran into the woods. Fang was with those bear cubs as she zoomed through the trees and bushes. Ignoring the other bear cubs as this initiation will test her mentally and physically.
The test consists of 5 tasks: Camouflage, Gathering, Crafting, Stamina, and Survival within 24 hours. 3 or more tasks that has been passed will be consider passing the initiation.
The first 2 hours will be giving to the bear cubs to camouflage themselves(that includes their scent) to test their knowledge of stealth. This is great for scouts and potential hunters.
The next 4 hours will be for the hunters to seek out and find the cubs. If the cub isn't found and has passed the 4 hour mark, a horn will play, signaling the completion of the first task; the cubs are to roar or growl to reveal their position to the hunters. Anyone who have been found within the 4 hours will fail the first task and will have to wait for the second task.
Fang ran deep within the woods. Hearing the other bear cubs running past she quickly stopped and observed her surroundings. Thanks to her fur she thinks of hiding either up in a tree or hiding in a dark area. "My scent!" She reminds herself that her scent may give her out. She looks around again and her eye catches a log full with natural scents. She went to work and masked her scent with the dirt, grass, and wood for the hunters cannot track her. She now started to climb a tree and sits on a branch. "The tree is somewhat old" she thought. She leaned her ear on the wood and softly knocks it..."It's hollowed!" She quickly climbed down and gathered some rocks and started sharpening it. After satisfied with her rock blade, she climbed right back up and started to chip away the wood. As what she expected, the section she hit was hollow enough. Soon after that, she made a hold big enough for her to crawl through and sat in the trunk comfortably. "Hehe alright, time to clean up the wood clipping and rock." She climbed out the hole, only to accidentally drop her rock blade to the ground. "Of course..." she thought. But as soon as she popped her head out she hear a noise coming from the direction the tribe was. She quickly retreated her head back out of view... "I'm hoping my son does good in this first task! I taught him the best way to hide!" Says the outside voice.
It was the hunters! She spent too much time up there! And now they are here! All she can do now is stay put!
