Anyway a little background about Mia. Again, to be quite blunt, she was born accidentally because Jack was too dumb to wear a condom back when he was living and in high school. He got with his high school crush, and stuff happened. For 8 years he wasn't aware of her existence until his ex bumped into his now husband at the store. (Kre) They talked and he invited her over. Well, it was safe to say Jack was surprised to see her, Sara that is, but happy. Likewise for Sara. (She was oblivious to his vampireness by the way, which is funny because it was VERY obvious.) Anyway, they talk a little and she ends up telling him about their daughter, Mia. I bet you can guess his reaction to hearing that? Yeah, he was shocked. So was Kre, but that was understandable. His boyfriend now husband apparently had a kid with this woman in his past.
Imagine all the possible complications that could bring. One being that Jack would maybe leave his side to raise his child. Well, one couldn't blame Jack for being surprised, but at the same time it's like, dude, you didn't wear a condom, what the hell did you think was going to happen, you would fuck her and nothing would come of it? (Lol I said come.) Well, it's safe to say he was very wrong in that department. Anyway, Sara's reasoning for keeping it a secret at the time was simple. Her mother wouldn't let her keep the baby, but Sara refused to get rid of her, so much so she threatened to run away if that was the case. Well, she was sent off to college and forced to stay away from Jack. I imagine her mother prevented her from being in contact with him, and so yeah. Well, after their encounter, Sara leaves and it pretty much leaves Jack with much to think about. Like "This can't be real. I have a kid?! I'm not parent material...I don't know the first thing about raising a kid, what if I fuck up? What would she even think of me, I'm a fuckin' vampire! There's no way in HELL she'd want me as a dad!" And so on and so forth.
Well, eventually he decides to meet up with Sara once more and talks with her about it; they talk more about what they've been doing over the last 8-9 years apart. They of course then talk about their daughter. As Jack listens to how Sara describes her, "she isn't quite the little princess I was. She has too much of you in her, I guess. She does have your temper. She punched one of her classmates in the face; not a slap, but hauled back and let him have one. She came out with a couple of scrapes, but she wasn't teased by them anymore." He begins thinking maybe having a kid ain't so bad after all. He could warm up to the idea, and eventually does. He also eventually tells her about his vampirism. She takes it rather well.
Well, the meet goes well and they schedule a date for when Jack can meet his little girl. You can imagine the days before the meeting takes a toll on him; he's nervous as all hell with the constant thought that maybe Mia won't like him, that she'll be afraid of him, that she won't ever want to see him again. Well, she proves him wrong. Yes, admittedly she was a little shy, but she warmed up to him rather quickly after he attempted to show his softer side. It worked and you can imagine she gave her daddy the biggest hug she could muster. It was indeed a heartwarming sight; too bad his heart was cold and dead, but that didn't change him at all. Currently, he's worked out with Sara to have her visit every year, or at least half. You know, so they both would get to share her equally. I can only imagine that Mia couldn't be happier. Granted, she would prefer both of her parents to be together, and one couldn't blame her, but she was satisfied with what she had, and so was Jack.
And that's honestly about it. I figured since I can't write for shit, I'd just type it out in way I would explain it if I was talking. I hope it's not too confusing and annoying to read.
