The mouse let out an instinctive surprised squeak. Bino was caught off guard as a giant unseen paw scared him. The gargantuan hand grabbed the mouse as if he were nothing. He tried to wiggle his way out of the paw but his aching muscles had reached their limit after his escape from the diaper pail. As he was lifted higher off the ground the paw spun around so Bino could face its owner.
Staring at the mouse was a young puppy girl. She was accompanied by her sister as they both excitedly stared at her paw. Bino was horrified. With their eyes both trained on him he realized they were King’s cubs. Trying to overcome his fear, the mouse tried speaking up. The cubs, however, decided to make the first move as they spoke first.
“LOOK ACE! NEW TOY!” she shouted excitedly
“COOL! What does he do?” said Olive to her sister.
As the two pups debated on what to do with the new found toy Bino decided to chime in.
“Hey I’m no toy! I’m a full grown do……..mouse. Now let me down!”
When the sound of their new toy talking the pups attention quickly shifted back to Bino. Bino shivered as he quickly regretted opening his mouth.
“HE TALKS!” they both said in unison.
To cubs, something as simple as a toy being able to talk to them was something right out of the movies.
“Do it again! Say something again” said Ace
Frozen in fear, Bino remained silent. He tired to stay as quiet and still as possible so the cubs would lose interest.
His plan backfired as the pup grew impatient with him.
“C’mon dolly say something!” She screamed
Without warning Ace violently shook Bino around. Shaking up and down was almost too much for the poor small mouse.
“STOP STOP PLEASE!”
Satisfied that her toy was talking again she smiled.
“Yay dolly can talk again! Lets go play!”
Without a choice in the matter the trio raced around the nursery. Everything felt fast for the mouse. It felt like his heart was fluttering behind him as he zipped across the nursery. Escape wasn’t an option for the mouse as his muscles had fully given out on him. For now, he was at the mercy of the titan toddlers.
“ZROOOM!”
She treated Bino like an airplane as he zipped him around. The feeling of weightlessness returned as he went up and down sporadically. He couldn’t believe how helpless he truly was. Hell he just barely bigger than her palm as he effortlessly held onto him.
The mouse screamed as he saw the rapidly approaching toys. Ace rammed her airplane into the pile of blocks. Bino felt the smack of the wood on his face as the two collided, sending the toys all over the floor. His screams only made her giggle in delight.
“Ok my turn to play!” Olive said.
She ignored her sister. Instead, she was about to place the screaming mouse inside of some spinning toy.
“Hey, it’s my turn!” she said more loudly.
“Nu-uh! I found him! He’s my toy!” said the other dog, not even seeing Bino as a person.
Without warning Olive grabbed for Bino. He was quickly jerked away as the dogs grappled over who got to play with the toy next. Being flung in every direction made him scream. Jerked to the right one second, shot downward in another. Disorientated and nauseated, Bino couldn’t take it anymore. He was about to scream at them when his world went dark.
Olive had grabbed a hold of the hand Bino was in and covered him. With the toy so close she squeezed hard trying to get Ace to let him go. As the cubs fought over Bino he was in a world of pain. The pressure kept building up for the mouse as the blood ran to his head. If he didn’t think of something fast he would literally pop.
That’s when his mouse instincts kicked in. With no other option his survival instincts went into effect. Just like when you corner an animal, Bino was left with no choice but to open his mouth and
*CHOMP*
Bite at anything in his way.
It was too dark for him to see but from the squeal he’s pretty sure it was Olive.
“OUCHIE!” she screamed
Though it wasn’t enough to draw blood, Bino’s bite caused her to let go of her sister’s hand.
“You’re a mean toy! I don’t wanna play with you anymore!” she screamed with tears in her eyes.
Although Bino should have been happy he couldn’t shake the feeling of dread as he watched his captor sniff the air. Her sensitive canine nose had caught the faintest hint of something awful. Looking down at her toy, she sniffed her hand.
“EWWWWWWW!” Ace yelled
“You stink! You smell like diaper”
Her revelation caused the other dog to inspect her hand.
“EWWW! He’s covered in poopy! He got some on my hand!”
The cubs were disgusted. Bino’s hopes of being discarded like any other toy were dashed as Olive kept a firm grip on the mouse.
“What do we do with mousie? We can’t let someone who smells like diaper run around.”
As the two dogs though as hard as their cub brains could think, an idea formed over Olive’s face.
“Oh! I know!”
Getting close to her sister the girls whispered to each other while giggling to themselves. For being so small Bino couldn’t hear anything the two said.
Without warning the duo trotted to the other side of the nursery. There sat their brother who had been quietly playing by himself the entire time.
“If you’re gonna be a mean toy than you’re gonna go where you belong!”
Bino’s confusion was quickly solved as he saw what she meant by that. He tried to move his exhausted muscles in vein. With no other option he pleaded.
“PLEASE! NOT THERE! ANYTWHERE BUT THERE! I’LL BE A GOOD TOY! I PRIMISE! JUST NOT IN THERE PLEASE!”
His screams meant nothing the girls. With their minds made up he was just along for the ride. Using her free hand she stretched the back. Bino just looked on in horror as Ace slowly lowered Bino down, getting ready to drop him down the back of her brother’s diaper.
