My original character, Bouncy Belinda Bopchilla, was inspired by Stimpy’s exaggerated, bouncing figure in the Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon episode “Stimpy’s Pregnant,” especially the scene where his boobs fly out of his dress. That playful moment sparked the idea for a character who embraces that fun, over-the-top bounce with charm and personality.

Belinda also draws inspiration from diverse characters like Sally McBoing (a rubber hose character by João Pereira), Pearl (Poil) from Casper the Friendly Ghost, Jessica Rabbit, Fifi La Fume, and Toot Braunstein’s cheeky humor and confident sensuality.

I wanted to flip the usual cartoon trope where male animal characters wear no clothes except gloves (and sometimes shoes or socks), while females wear clothes. In my design, Belinda, a female, wears only gloves and socks—no clothes—while her love interest, Pixelton Cottontail, a male, wears clothes.
