Clouds sail across it like ships on a calm sea. The city basks in the warm light as the morning progresses. The fox and friends enter a place of green and life, best for relaxation and freedom from the oppressive gridlock. Many others, young and old, spend their time here. Either playing and running around, or taking in the scenery and exotic, colorful flowers. \nEcho and Firework, along with their pet fluffball, cannot contain themselves as they beeline it for the playground, eager to start their fun. Amina, on the other hand, prefers to head onto the grass for some relaxation. \nMeanwhile, Zach sits back against the park bench with his girlfriend beside him. “Look at the kids, Melissa,” he starts. “They seem so happy, and must be having a lot of fun.”\nMelissa questions, “If you had the chance, would you relive being a child again?”\nZach quickly turns to her. “And go through the same hell I lived through…? No way!”\n“Whoa, relax… You wouldn’t be doing that, but just playing and be happy.”\nThe fox eases himself. “Well… If you mean that, then it would be nice to act like a kid again. Though, it would be silly for a grown fox to start being a child.”\nMelissa puts her paw on top of his, which is lying on the surface of the bench. “You shouldn’t worry too much about how people judge you. If you let them get to you, you’ll never be happy.”\n“True… But now that I think about it, if I was happier back then, I wouldn’t be with you, and my family.” He turns his paw around to hold hers, and locks eyes with the rabbit.\nMelissa’s cheeks transition to pink. “Oh, Zachy. You’re so romantic.” She starts leaning closer towards him. Zach does the same, meeting in the middle to touch their lips. \n“You!” A hostile, female voice calls, causing the fox and rabbit’s moment to be interrupted. They turn to the source and to their shock, the same chicken from Pawbucks and the restaurant has shown up. “What do you think you’re doing?!” \n“I was kissing my girlfriend,” Zach tells her. “But the moment has been ruined…”\n“Why are you here?” Melissa demands. “What do you have against Zach?! Leave us alone!”\nWinifred holds her arms up. “Hey, easy there, Sister. I was trying to save you from being bitten by this ferocious predator.” \n “This predator happens to be my boyfriend! And I’ve had enough of you, and everybody else, picking on us!”\n“Well, excuse me for intruding. You’ll be sorry when you get blood coming out of you!”\n“Hey!” calls another female voice. When the three trace where it came from, they see the small warthog before them. “Leave them alone! They’re just trying to enjoy themselves, and here you are intruding their personal space.” \n“Wait.” Zach points to the warthog. “I remember you; you’re the warthog from the Pawbucks. Emma, right?” Emma smiles at him, telling him it’s a pleasure to see him again.\n“Why are you here, Pork Chops?” asks Winnie. \n“I was going to ask you the same thing, Chicken Tenders,” replies Emma. \nThe two women bicker back and forth. This prompts the fox to stand to his feet and get between the two. “Ladies, please… This fighting isn’t necessary… I just want to enjoy a day at the park with my girlfriend and family...” Melissa agrees.\n“Zach, Melissa!” calls out Amina. The couple turn to her. “We’ve got trouble!” She points to the playground to see some Prey Lives Matter protestors by the playful structures, followed by Predators Rule protestors. Both clash, throwing projectiles at each other, while the children cower in the middle, seeking safety on the platform of the playing area. \n“Oh, that’s not good!” Emma says. \n“Those poor children,” Winnie comments. “Someone do something to save them!” \n“Already on it!” Zach takes out his radio. “Attention all task force members, this is Zach the Fox reporting a riot situation at Furton Park! Both Prey Lives Matter and Predators Rule have clashed, leading to a violent conflict! Children are trapped in the center of their quarrel! Requesting backup now!” He holsters his radio and rushes to the center. The fox heads to the children to check on their status, but he’s unable to get close to them. Zach remains several feet away. \n“Too much violence!” Firework spurts. “Firework scared!”\n“We need to get out of here!” adds Echo. Cotton squeaks in distress.\nZach raises his paws to them; assuring them it’ll be okay. “Hold on! I’ll try and get to you and-” He’s interrupted when a spectator tackles him to the ground, pinning him. \nMelissa rushes over to the sheep holding the fox down. “What are you doing?! Get off my boyfriend!” She pulls on the spectator’s arm, when she’s pushed away. Zach, angered the sheep has hurt her, kicks the wooly animal in between the legs and pushes them off of him. He gets up quickly, only to see some more prey animals go toward him. The fox equips his staff and makes fast work of them, knocking them out. More come after him, disregarding Zach’s status of a task force member. Amina jumps in to aid the orange fox, using a large, thick branch as long as Zach’s staff to deal with the enemies. Both foxes put down at least six more members before more turn to them, accusing the two of helping the predator cause. \nJust as they get ready to face them, the grey rabbit comes in to help, throwing stones toward them off. “Stay away from my friends, you bullies!” A group of predators prepare to attack the rabbit from behind, only to be thwarted by the two foxes. They then take down a couple more predators together. After holding off some crazed animals, Zach’s team have arrived to his aid.\n“We need to stop this!” Zach starts to holler. “Everybody listen! Listen!” Ralph takes out an airhorn from his belt and blasts it. Soon, all the animals turn to him and the fox. “All right! Who thinks this is the best way to solve this?!” Every animal of the groups raise their arms, voting “yes” on the matter. “So, you’re telling me that violence solves this whole division issue? This isn’t the way to go about things!” Some people, mostly the predators, demand to know why he’s not siding with his own kind. “’Kind?!’ I don’t have my own kind! I’m with everybody, and so is my family! We came to Furton to live in peace and have a happy life; me, my girlfriend, my kids, and my friend!” Melissa steps over toward him, pressing up against him and putting an arm around him, to which he responds with his arm around her. Everyone becomes shocked to see a predator and prey together. “We met in Buscity, started off distrusting each other because our cities were enemies. But then, our friendship developed, and it grew into romance. Melissa and I have been together since the day I came to Buscity, and she’s helped me get by many hardships. I don’t care that she’s a prey. She’s beautiful, and I love her no matter what! And she loves me for who I am on the inside, not the outside! It’s not about who’s the better race! It’s about coexisting together and building something special with that relationship! It’s time to stop hating and start loving!” Just as he finishes, the crowd doubts him; questioning his position. Just as Zach’s about to speak out against them, a loud explosion sounds off, rocking the ground beneath everyone’s feet. The fox turns to see the playground has burst into flames, and the bodies of little ones litter around the destroyed structure. Both sides become frozen, wearing faces of horror and shock before scattering to check each their vitals. Zach, Melissa, and Amina’s eyelids peel far back as they can when they notice the dragon and robot lying in front, unconscious. Wounds appear on Firework’s body from head-to-toe, some leaking blood, while Echo’s lights are dim, and parts of his form have cracks and smudge marks.\nMelissa’s paws are on either side of her head. “Echo! Firework!” Zach stays paralyzed in his stance for a few seconds before rushing over with the rabbit. Melissa and Zach check on their statuses.\nThe fox lifts his head and calls out. “Medic! I need a medic! Ralph, call for help, now!” The white rabbit keeps his eyes on his partner, watching a scared, concerned Zach trying to tend to his children’s injuries. “What are you doing?! Don’t just stand there, get help!” Amina joins in to help Zach and Melissa. Ralph, finally waking from his moment of silence, gets on the radio to call for Leon, all available task force members, and emergency response teams, alerting them all as to what has happened. In the background by the bench, Winnie and Emma remain stood there, watching as the chaos unfolds; a scared and panicked Zach, a crying Melissa, Amina struggling to help keep their kids alive, and a barking Cotton, who has made it with just scratches from the attack. \nSmoke billows into the atmosphere as the cries and screams of parents fill the background. The painful moans of some children, awaken from their slight slumber and feeling and pain, add to their parents’ miseries. Sirens wail, echoing throughout the city. Disorder all over, throwing reason out the window, replacing it with emotion. Many infected with fear and anxiety. And then, order steps in, and seizes control.\n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>The sun glistens against the radiant sky.
