"writing": "The fires continue to rage on, engulfing the structures of wood and thatch. Panic rushes through the fleeing villagers as darkened figures run through with swinging axes, swords, and other types of weapons used in melee. Archers from afar fire their arrows to rain down on the defenseless settlement with every one out of twenty having a fiery tip to set buildings ablaze. The amber glow from the inferno stretches out into the night beyond the hamlet’s borders. \nOver in a wooded area, populated by beech trees and far from the community’s sight, a small, light pink rabbit shows. The bunny’s long, rose-pink hair, skinny figure, and extended eyelashes reveal the animal’s gender in nature. Her only clothing consists of a tan shirt and pants to shield her body from the elements. Smudges litter around her face and limbs, as well as on some parts of her clothing. Leaning against one of the beech trees to catch her breath, she looks back at the amber-glowing village as the distant screams and cries continue to echo. Turning forward and taking a deep breath in and out, the little bunny presses on. \nAs the little rabbit distances herself from the ruined settlement, her head hangs down with gloom overcoming her. Her mouth remains in a frown as she shuffles through the foliage of the forest. Soon, a sweet scent hits her nostrils, changing the emotion into hunger with the rumble of her stomach. Using her nose, the bunny traces the aroma to a small campsite in a minor clearing of the woodland. A cloth bedroom lies nearby a campfire with meat suspended over the flames. The small rabbit doesn’t think twice about who’s presence is here; only the screaming need to satisfy her hunger. As she heads for the food, the hare’s knocked to the ground, caused by projectiles hitting near her feet. Out of the bushes, a dark body appears in front of her. It wears a conical hat and robes as a katana’s raised near its head in readiness for a fight. The pink bunny’s paralyzed with fear, unknowing what to do.\n“Who dares enter my camp unannounced?” questions the figure, baritone in voice. \n“Please, Mister,” the rabbit utters, high-pitched in tone and revealing her age to be very young. “Don’t hurt me… I was only hungry. I swear…”\nThe silhouette keeps his gaze on the girl, yet lowers his weapon. “Foolish child, what brings you here? Are your parents aware of your disappearance?”\n“My parents…” The rabbit pauses as sadness once again emerges in her face. “They’re… dead… My home… gone.”\n“Your village was attacked and it made you an orphan, Child?” The pink bunny gives him a nod. The figure holsters his sword and offers his arm. “Stand.” The rabbit grabs it and pulls herself up. “I will care for you, but at a cost.” The girl listens closely. “Everything will be provided to you, so long as you work for it. I shall also teach you the way of the sword. However, you must prove yourself worthy of the title.” The dark body gives the little girl a meat from the fire. “Eat.” She takes it gracefully and begins to chew on it. “We have much work to do, Young One.” Under the figure’s new presence, the pink bunny begins to learn. \n\n*** \n\nDays went from weeks, weeks turned to months, and months changed into years. The little rabbit is now double the size she once was; taller and wiser. Her appearance transitioned from the rags she wore to a more warrior’s approach: Dark blue robes with white stripes. On her back rests a long, wooden staff. \n“You have proven yourself well so far,” says the figure. “From sticks to staffs, you have the will of the warrior. Your speed, stealth, and agility match that of a skilled ninja.”\n“Thank you, Master,” the rabbit tells him, deeper in tone to show her as mature. “I have learned well from you.”\nThe figure turns to the campfire, seeing its flame half the size it once was, as it’s dwarfed in size. “The fire’s weak. It needs more fuel.” He turns to his student. “Mind getting more from the forest, Pupil?” The rabbit bows and heads out into the forest. \nShe explores around for long sticks and short logs, suitable to keep a blaze burning. After spending some time around the forest, she halts in place when a force of wind whooshes by her. Turning around to scan her surroundings, the bunny sees nothing, thinking of it as a hint of wind. However, when she pivots back, a shadowy shape disappears from view. Taking it as a sign of an attacker, the rabbit pulls out her staff and readies it in her paws. She jumps in the air and roundhouse kicks the tree she last saw the figure. The sound of a thud resonances from behind the trunk followed by a grunt. The pink rabbit turns the corner with her weapon raised and ready to face whatever’s eyed her. Once she prepares herself, she gets a good view of her stalker lying on the ground: A maroon kobold with darker red horns. The lizard’s only attire is a sunset orange scarf and cape with a hood and a loincloth.\nThe kobold looks up at the attacker and raises an arm to her. “Mercy!” The lizard’s voice is a bit high-pitched like a child’s, however, is closer to a male’s due to deeper tone. “Don’t hurt me, please…”\n“State your business!” shouts the rabbit. “And maybe I’ll go easy on you!”\n“I mean no harm… I was only foraging until I noticed you… I’m sorry…” The red creature remains frozen, unsure of what the rabbit will do to him as she keeps her stance. The pink bunny spins the staff as if ready to attack, causing the kobold to look away with eyes shut, expecting the worst.\n“Stand.” shouts the bunny. The red lizard opens his eyes and looks back at the rabbit, seeing her paw out and staff away. He looks at her for a brief four seconds before taking her paw and pulling himself up. “If you truly are harmless, I have no quarrel with you. Let us keep it that way.”\n“Can you spare some food? It’s been trouble trying to find good berries and nuts. I could use a bite to eat.”\nThe pink rabbit searches her pocket and pulls out a loaf of what appears to be cooked chunks of meat. “All I have is this venison. Not much, but should be enough to restore energy.” She hands the food to him. \nThe red kobold takes it gracefully and bows. “Much is obliged, Friend.” He heads off into the foliage and disappears. The pink bunny goes back to collecting firewood.\nOnce she returns with the bundles of sticks and wood in her clutches, her master approaches her. “What has delayed you?” \n“I… couldn’t find too much,” she tells him, not speaking about her encounter with the kobold. \n“This is the forest,” her master says. “There’s plenty of wood around. Enough to pick from the Earth and gather. I don’t understand why it would take you this long to find-” Ruffles of the shrubs interrupt him. He turns to see the vibrations. “What?” \nOut of the bushes, the red kobold from before jumps out and stops before the rabbit in fear. “Help me!”\nThe shadow looks at the kobold. “What in the-” Emerging behind him is a large bear-like creature, roaring in anger. The bunny’s master wields his sword, but it’s smacked away by the predator’s claws, which then strike at the older figure, tossing him away.\n“Master!” shouts the bunny. The large animal then targets the kobold, who clutches his food tightly in his grasps as he looks on with widened eyes and gritted teeth at the hunter, trembling in fear. As the animal prepares to strike, it’s knocked back from a pink haze that sped toward it. Once the slayer struggles to keep balance, it sets its sights on the rabbit, who stands with her staff armed. Sensing a challenge, the animal swings its claws at her, but the bunny dodges quickly, faster than its paws can keep up. Some of the attacks are blocked by the long, wooden stick she wields as a weapon, then proceeds to hit the creature. However, one swipe of its sharp talon causes the staff to break in two and finally get the upper hand by whacking the rabbit away. As the pink hare rises, the sun’s glare temporarily stuns her. She looks to see her master’s katana laying beside her fallen master nearby. Looking ahead, she can see the large predator charging toward her. Seizing the opportunity, the rabbit rolls for the sword and picks it up at just the right moment, thrusting it into the animal’s chin as it’s near enough to bite her. She pulls out the blade and swings it at the hunter. The slayer collapses, weak and unable to stand. Blood spilling from the head.\nAfter being victorious, the rabbit rushes to her master to check on his signs. “Master! Master!” \nThe dark figure looks up at her, coughing red. “Child… My katana…” The hare brings him his weapon, to which he sees is soaked with the blood of the enemy. “You have done well, my pupil.” He thrusts it into her paws. “Take good care of yourself… Wield it in your name…” His entire body relaxes, and his breathing ceases. \nThe pink rabbit stares at her reflection in the section clear of the blood before she sets it aside and moves his motionless arms onto his chest. “Rest well, Master. I will never forget you.” She picks the sword back up and wields it before her. \n“My!” spurts the kobold, standing behind her. “I can’t believe it! Thank you!” \n“At what cost?” she utters without turning facing him. “My master is gone and I am now on my own…”\n“No, you aren’t.” He comes up to her side. “You’ve saved my life, and I am now in your debt. I shall follow you and be your ally. You have my word, my friendship, my services.”\nThe rabbit sighs, then works up the courage to face him. “If you truly mean that, you will obey me like I did to my master.” The kobold nods. Taking the sword’s sheath, she fixes it by her side and slides the blade into it. “Now, try and keep up, will you?” She takes most of the belongings of the camp and starts on her way.\nThe red kobold struggles to keep up with the items. “By the way, what is your name, Great Warrior? Who do I owe the pleasure of standing alongside?”\n“Haya,” the pink bunny tells him. “I am Haya. My name tells me I’m quick and light.”\n“I’m Berc,” the kobold says. “We’re going to be great friends.”\n“We shall see. We shall see.” \n",

She pulls out the blade and swings it at the hunter. The slayer collapses, weak and unable to stand. Blood spilling from the head.<br />After being victorious, the rabbit rushes to her master to check on his signs. &ldquo;Master! Master!&rdquo; <br />The dark figure looks up at her, coughing red. &ldquo;Child&hellip; My katana&hellip;&rdquo; The hare brings him his weapon, to which he sees is soaked with the blood of the enemy. &ldquo; You have done well, my pupil.&rdquo; He thrusts it into her paws. &ldquo;Take good care of yourself&hellip; Wield it in your name&hellip;&rdquo; His entire body relaxes, and his breathing ceases. <br />The pink rabbit stares at her reflection in the section clear of the blood before she sets it aside and moves his motionless arms onto his chest. &ldquo;Rest well, Master. I will never forget you.&rdquo; She picks the sword back up and wields it before her. <br />&ldquo;My!&rdquo; spurts the kobold, standing behind her. &ldquo;I can&rsquo;t believe it! Thank you!&rdquo; <br />&ldquo;At what cost?&rdquo; she utters without turning facing him. &ldquo; My master is gone and I am now on my own&hellip;&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;No, you aren&rsquo;t.&rdquo; He comes up to her side. &ldquo; You&rsquo;ve saved my life, and I am now in your debt. I shall follow you and be your ally. You have my word, my friendship, my services.&rdquo;<br />The rabbit sighs, then works up the courage to face him. &ldquo; If you truly mean that, you will obey me like I did to my master.&rdquo; The kobold nods. Taking the sword&rsquo;s sheath, she fixes it by her side and slides the blade into it. &ldquo; Now, try and keep up, will you?&rdquo; She takes most of the belongings of the camp and starts on her way.<br />The red kobold struggles to keep up with the items. &ldquo;By the way, what is your name, Great Warrior? Who do I owe the pleasure of standing alongside?&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;Haya,&rdquo; the pink bunny tells him. &ldquo;I am Haya. My name tells me I&rsquo;m quick and light.&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;m Berc,&rdquo; the kobold says. &ldquo; We&rsquo;re going to be great friends.&rdquo;<br />&ldquo;We shall see. We shall see.&rdquo; <br /></span>",
