Known as “Mystical Wonders,” the little structure is home to the town’s magical fortune-teller, wizard, and mystic, Lana Latias. Through her spells and enchantments, she has blessed many souls with her work, including Leafy Creek’s Team Rescuers.\nEnter our three pokemon protagonists in her shop, where they look around at all of the fancy knick-knacks and spiritual items with fascination and awe. \n“Wow,” Zach comments. “So many creepy things in here… I feel like I walked into a nightmare…”\n“Cool!” Nate examines a necklace sitting on a rest. “Pretty necklace. Wish I could get this for Benny.”\n“Gee, that’s kind of you, Nate,” replies Benny. “I don’t need a necklace, though. Especially one with bones and orbs.” She walks up to the counter with her friends and places her paws on the surface. “Hello, anyone in here?” She then notices a shiny kirlia wearing what appears to be a pink bow on the left side of her head, sweeping the floor with a broom in her hands. “Excuse me!” \nThe kirlia turns around and sees the three. “Oh, I’m sorry!” The tone of the kirlia’s voice reveals a female identity for the gang. “How can I help you? Looking for something in particular?”\n“Now, we’re not here to shop for fancy, creepy things. We’re here to get help from mystic of Leafy Creek. She in?”\n“Yes, however, she’s in the middle of something important. No one is to disturb her at this very hour.”\n“Listen, we need to see Lana Latias. It’s very important; pokemon are at stake.”\n“I don’t know if it’s a wise idea. Perhaps I’ll-”\n“Mora!” shouts a feminine voice from the other room. The latias herself emerges from the doorway from behind the counter. Her appearance consists of round spectacles with an orange scarf around her neck. “What are you doing?! Who told you to stop your duties?!”\nThe kirlia turns to her master. “Madam Lana, I was only pausing briefly to answer-”\n“I didn’t advise you to do that, did I? Go to the back and take care of the stock.”\n“Y-yes, Lana…” The kirlia leaves his post and disappears through the archway the latias float through.\nThe latias then turns her attention to the three pokemon. “Who are you three? What do you want? If you’ve come to buy something, do it and get out.”\n“I don’t know who’s worse,” Nate adds. “Team Rescuers or this chick.”\n“What was that, Fennekin?” \n“Lana Latias,” begins Benny. “We’ve come to employ your services. I’m Benny the Buneary and these are my friends, Zach the Riolu and Nate the Fennekin. We are Team Adventurers.”\n“Yeah, I know you three,” says a displeased Lana. “My good friend has told me all about you three. Nothing but a bunch of troublemakers and thieves. You better have a good reason for being in my shop.”\n“We mean no harm. Our base was trashed yesterday. We want to find out who’s responsible for targeting us.”\n“I have no time for petty pokemon like you three. I am a very busy latias; my schedule is full.”\n“Okay, so when can we meet with you?”\n“Never. Now, get out of my store. You’re killing my business. Good day.” She turns and floats away. Feeling defeated, the three pokemon start making their way out. Benny and Nate step out into the fresh air and begin their trek down the marketplace street.\n“Well, all that for nothing,” Nate utters. “What do we do now?”\n“Guess it’s up to us to do our own investigation. Should’ve known better to trust that lazy, no-good latias to help.”\n“It’s hopeless… How will we ever get back up from this…?”\n“Well, I’ll think of something… We just have to-” Benny stops in place with her face turning to surprise. She looks around. “Wait, where’s Zach?”\n“Zach?!” Nate searches around, too. “Where’d he go?!”\nBack in the shop, the riolu has stayed behind. He had paused before leaving, hearing voices emitting from the archway. Curiosity has overtaken him, forcing the aura pokemon to wander inside and enter a large room with a table and chairs. On the table rests a glass sphere, cloudy on the inside of it. As Zach approaches, he’s fixed onto the crystal ball’s sound and visual. \n“Zach.” calls Benny, entering with Nate through the archway. The two head up to him. “What are you doing? You’re not supposed to be back here.”\n“This orb,” the riolu begins. “I don’t know why, but it’s calling to me…”\n“You’re going crazy,” Nate spurts. “As if the latias wasn’t crazy enough.” Zach scoops up the cloudy ball and holds it in his paws.\n“Hey, I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Benny tells him. “You should put that down before you break it. Or what if Lana comes in and-” The smoke begins to clear inside the ball. “What’s happening?” After the smog has cleared, Team Rescuers are shown inside, playing out a scene of joy and laughter as they drink down what appears to be alcohol. Ezma addresses them as she proudly, but in a neutral tone, announces accomplishment over the destruction of Team Adventurer’s base. However, she states it’s not over, but it’s the beginning of their downfall. The other team members ask what’s next and start throwing ideas in; everything like going so far to bully them, fabricate emergencies and missions, and destroy/steal more things they own. As Ezma orders them to settle and to be patient, the cloud returns and casts itself over the scene.\n“It was Team Rescuers,” Zach utters in a lone tone, still surprised as his friends. “They destroyed our base… They tried to get away with it from the letter.”\n“Unbelievable!” Nate spurts. “All because they think we keep stealing their jobs…”\n“Team Rescuers hates competition,” says a voice. The gang look to where the source is and see the shiny kirlia standing nearby. “Many teams have existed before you. Their stances with Team Rescuers were nothing more than peace. However, that’s not what Team Rescuers see; they wish only to have the glory and fame to themselves. They dislike anybody that disagrees with them, and are different from other pokemon like them. The group includes outsiders, newcomers, non-guild members, and more.”\n“Such prejudice,” comments Zach. “And arrogance. How awful and horrible of them.”\n“This makes my whole body heat up,” adds Nate.\n“It’s not all,” continues Mora. “They’re plans of ridding the region of these pokemon have succeeded with the help of Lana as well.
