The children scramble out of their classrooms and proceed down the hallway, scurrying like water in a rushing river. They pour into the great cafeteria, obtain their lunches, then go to their usual tables with their friends, chowing down and chatting. Once the robot and dragon get to their table with their buddies, Echo cannot wait to share the new androids to his group. The group share their names and exchange conversations to each other with Cat involved in their discussions. Gizmo does his best to communicate, but with sound cues, hand gestures, and body language. \n“So, Cat, Gizmo,” begins Hammy. “What are your purposes? What were you built for?”\n“We have somewhat the same purpose as Echo,” Cat explains. “We are aimed to help children. However, instead of teaching children about trust and friendships, my programming offers more in terms of vocal entertainment and ecstatic sounds, while Gizmo’s is to be a little assistant.”\n“Wait,” Preston spurts. “Do you mean to say you’re a music bot?” \n“Yes and no. I am programmed to help children understand music, as well as sing and perform for them.”\n“How good are you?” Hammy asks. “Can we hear you sing?” The feline bot concurs. She begins playing music softly and low, but loud enough for the kids to hear. Producing sounds from her throat using energy, she’s able to play a soothing tune for her audience, replicating some impressive sounds and music. As she finishes, the children applaud her.\nEcho remains frozen, staring at Cat with pink for his eyes and screens. “Such melody in your voice… I must be with an angel…” Cat smiles and giggles, blushing at the compliment.\nFirework is the only one who hasn’t talked much. His arms crossed over his chest with a face of displeasure, leaving his food untouched. \nThis grabs the attention of Hayley, who notices the dragon in this way. “What’s the matter, Firework? You haven’t touched your food or said a word.”\n“Firework not too hungry,” the dragon remarks. “Firework got not much to say…”\n“Well, what do you think of Cat’s voice? As the grey dragon turns to the source, he’s knocked back onto the ground when another body collides with him. \nEcho, shocked from the event, runs over to him. Cat does the same. “Oh my gosh! Firework are you okay?!” Firework remains dazed as the figure, who collided with him, starts to push itself up. The character reveals itself to be another dragon similar to Firework, but with female features such as eyelashes on her eyes, a thin, pink body with purple for her belly, the inside of her wings, and the ring designs around her limbs and tail, as well as the fluffy end of it. The tan horns from her head are curved like a ram’s. The last detail is a tuft of hair on her head. \nShe begins to see who she collided into with her brown eyes. “Oh my goodness!” She stands off of the grey dragon. “I’m so sorry! Are you okay?!” Firework holds his head and proceeds to get up. After he notices the pink dragon, she lets out a gasp. “Firework?! Is that really you?!”\nFirework stares at the other dragon. “It you… You dragon from flock…”\n“Well,” Echo starts. “Guess you two know each other…”\n“Yes,” the pink dragon states, keeping her gaze on the grey one. “I knew Firework when he was in our flock… How they teased and bullied you… I felt so bad they did that to you, even caused you to run away…”\n“Why pink dragon care?” asks Firework. “Firework not part of flock anymore… Firework have new family… And pink dragon do nothing…”\n“I was scared… If the other dragons found out I was with you, they’d hurt me, too… After you left, I felt guilty I didn’t do anything sooner… I left the flock to look for you…”\n“Why pink dragon do that? Why risk life for Firework?”\n“Because… I do care about you… I’m sorry I didn’t do anything… I’m sorry I left you to face everything alone… Which is why I want to make it all up by being there for you and your new family.”\n“Firework unsure… Firework need to think about it more…”\n“Please…?” She flashes beggar’s eyes at him; white spots in the brown with a small frown to give effect. \nFirework sighs. “Okay… Pink dragon can come along with Firework and friends…”\nShe smiles. “Thank you…”\n“So, how pink dragon come all way to find Firework?”\n“Sorry to interrupt this moment,” Echo spurts. “But, I’m sure this ‘pink dragon’ has a name. And it happens to be…” He scans the other reptile to display information. “Candy…”\n“Candy…” Firework relaxes his expression, turning to surprise. “What ‘sweet’ name…”\n“Thanks,” Candy says. “I chose it myself because… I love candy, especially that pink, cotton one.” She turns to Echo. “How did you find out my name?”\n“I simply scanned you,” Echo tells her. “I’m able to learn my surroundings with my sensors. Oh, where are my manners?” He holds out his hand. “I am Echo, artificial intelligence, and Firework’s friend.” The pink dragon takes his hand and shakes it. The loud sound of the whistle marks the end of recess, ordering the kids to scramble back inside. “Sounds like recess is over. We should get back inside. Are you coming with us?”\n“I’m not sure,” Candy utters. “I don’t feel comfortable… I just-”\n“Candy come inside with Firework,” the grey dragon interrupt. “After school, Firework will talk and hang out with Candy.”\nCandy’s face immediately changes to shock. “Y-you mean that?”\n“Firework promise.” He offers her his paw, to which she takes.
