Nonetheless, Melissa tries to keep herself busy with cleaning and serving. It’s not until Zach comes in, bringing the kids from school and Amina, that she slows with her work. Once her family has entered the establishment, taken a table, placed orders and received them, the rabbit pulls up beside them to find how their day went. After the kids discuss what they did in school with their friends and Amina finishes with her Nerelia hangout story, she moves onto Zach, eager to listen about his first day on the force. The others listen in as well. \nThe orange fox begins his story being how excited and mixed with emotion he was while there. “It was a feeling I thought I’d never feel. When I put this gear on, my heart was racing! Training was a bit awkward, though.”\n“How come?” Melissa asks. “Why was it awkward?”\nThat’s when Zach starts to talk about his new partner, Ralph the Rabbit. He informs his friends what has happened during the entire process and what he’s learned of him. “He kept putting his paws all over me and claimed he was ‘helping,’ hugging me, and even calling me ‘Sweetie’ like I was his love interest… Then, when it came lunch time, I noticed him staring and smiling at me, reminding me on how ‘lucky’ I am to be with him…”\n“Sounds like this new partner of yours is gay,” Echo remarks.\n“That’s because he is gay… He told me that he is… I feel like he’s taking a big liking to me… and, I don’t know if I feel comfortable…”\n“I’m sure he doesn’t mean to do all of those things,” Melissa tells him, putting a paw on the fox’s shoulder. “Maybe he’s grown up in a background where it was normal for him to do that.”\n“I’ve seen most guys act that way,” adds Amina. “I think they call it ‘bromance’ or something. Same thing happens with girls.”\n“Yeah, it’s probably like that. I’m sure it’s nothing bad.”\n“Firework and Echo do that,” Firework states. “Firework and Echo close, though. Good friends. Perhaps Zach new partner think the same?” Cotton squeaks to suggest the same.\nZach sighs. “I guess he sees me as friendly and wants to be my friend… You could be right about that… I just don’t know if I-”\n“Excuse me,” interrupts a voice. The gang pinpoints the source nearby and immediately freeze with shock. “There any way a jackalope could get a nice cup of coffee from his good daughter and her friends?” Standing before them is the well-dressed jackalope from Buscity. His suit is slightly torn with tears and rips, and is dirtier than the last time they saw him.\n“Daddy!” Melissa jolts forward and gives him a squeezing hug, to which Jack accepts. “Oh my god! I’m so glad you’re here!” Echo and Firework are next to receive a greeting, then Amina. \nZach is last to walk up to the jackalope. “Good to see you, Mr. Jackalope.” Jack returns a good greeting to him.\nMelissa directly jumps in with a question after noticing his appearance. “Dad, are you okay? What happened to you? Team Rescuers didn’t hurt you, did they?”\n“Not too much,” Jack remarks. “Once you guys left and Capital Corp kept them busy, I managed to flee and hid until the battle was over. This was only part one of their attack, however.”\n“Part one?” repeats Melissa.\n“A couple of days later, some fighters from Heroto, along with Team Rescuers, led an attack on Buscity. Capital Corp and some other soldiers worked to keep them back. I had to gather some things from the factory and mansion before being evacuated with the other Buscity citizens. When I got on the train and left, the whole city was in flames.”\n“Oh god…” Melissa has her paws covering her mouth. “How awful! We didn’t know about this…”\n“You couldn’t’ve… All communications were jammed, and there was no way of reaching you… However, I spoke with the mayor and explained everything. Looks like I’ll be staying in Furton now… He’s also provided me with accommodation and citizenship.”\n“Where are Capital Corp?” Zach asks. “Are they still in Buscity?”\n“No, they’re here,” answers Jack. “They should be coming to this Pawbucks any minute. Mayor Eagle showed us your files, and I must say, I’m surprised.” He turns to Melissa. “I never thought you’d be working in a Pawbucks, Sweetie.” The sound of the word causes the fox to be uncomfortable. \n“Well,” Melissa begins. “We all had to get jobs at the start, and our new neighbors helped us. I happen to like Pawbucks coffee, and it’s not bad here.”\n“Don’t you want to move up eventually?” Melissa nods and says she would, but not now. Have you brought what I asked for?” Capital Corp responds with “affirmative” before parting in half to reveal what follows them; a robot the same height as Echo comes forward, appearing as a small anthropomorphic kitten with cat ears and fluff on the head. A holographic screen containing light blue eyes stare at the gang. Eyelashes designed on the eye-screen give a representation of the robot’s gender as female, along with a hot pink top and panty. The fingers copy the color, along with the bottom of the feet. Next to the cat-bot is an even smaller robot, bearing red, pointy “ears” with a dark screen for the same light blue eyes as the cat robot’s, taking up ninety-five percent of its face. Another dark screen is shown on its stomach, much like Echo’s. The legs and fingers are bright red in color. “I present to you guys two of my creations I’ve been working on. The pink and white cat robot’s name is Cat, and must I say, she’s quite a girl. The tiny bot is Gizmo; he doesn’t really talk much, but don’t think he won’t react or communicate.”\n“Hello!” waves Cat, sounding similar to Echo, but with a more feminine voice. “I am Cat. Pleasure to meet you. Master Jack has informed me and Gizmo about you all. My files are updated to know you each.”\n“Whoa…” Echo stares at her, colored with pink. “My gosh… She’s… she’s… beautiful…”\nMelissa nudges him. “Why don’t you go over and say ‘hello?’” She forms a smirk. \nEcho takes a gulp, showing white for a change in emotion before walking over to the feline automaton. “Hello there, Cat. It’s wonderful to greet you…”\n“Pleasure to meet you and your family as well, Echo. Are you okay? I sense you are not well.”\n“Um, why yes, I’m fine. Just…”\n“Infatuated with me?” Cat interrupts.
