", "writing": "Our heroes pursue their next adventure back into the caves as they enter the mountain in search for their next objective; a huge chest stocked deep within the caverns by a once-rouge king said to hold vast riches waiting for those who find it. After overcoming traps and dangers the mountain has to offer, the three pokemon approach the chamber housing the motherlode. Little do they know, they’re not alone.\n“There it is!” cries Benny, pointing to the trunk that lays seventy-feet from them. “The treasure of King Nido!”\n“Don’t you mean Nidoking?” asks Nate.\n“No, because that wasn’t his name. Anyway, let’s get that treasure!” As she heads for the chest, a fireball explodes near her, causing her to stumble and fall on her face. The boys run toward her to see if she’s okay and help her up. \n“I don’t think so!” shouts a voice. The pokemon look to see who it is, and right before them is the yellow-masked monferno, along with his friends.\n“Your adventures stop here, Team Adventurers!” Jay orders. “We’re putting an end to your ‘stealing’ once and for all!”\n“Not if we have anything to say about it!” Nate shoots a fireball at the opposing team, but Jay extinguishes it with his water gun. He then retaliates with a quick attack. Zach clashes with him and kicks him away. \n“You’ll pay for this!” Jay charges back in again with the rest of the team following suit. The battle rages on with Team Adventurers and Team Rescuers performing paw-to-paw combat and using their move sets within the wide space. Team Rescuers has the number advantage over Team Adventurers, yet swift victory is not in their foresight as the three pokemon retaliate skillfully. Just as both sides are ready to perform their moves, the mew gets between them with her paws extended to both sides.\n“Enough!” Ezma exclaims. “This fighting ceases now!”\nCasey points to the three pokemon. “But, they started it, Ezma!”\n“Like Hell we did!” Nate spurts. “You pokemon attacked us and accused us of stealing!”\n“No more of this!” The mew shouts. “We are going to settle this like gentlemon and be diplomatic!”\n“Not a chance with them!” Cindy shoots her hyper beam toward the riolu. Zach dodges and her attack hits the cave side. The ground and walls start to vibrate violently and rocks break way, piling on the ground. The pokemon dodge and dart around to avoid the falling objects. Cracks travel up to the ceiling and outline a huge part of the mountain about to fall on the celebi. As the rock falls, Jay pushes her and another pokemon away with his water stream from his mouth before evading the rock, splitting the pokemon from the celebi and riolu into an enclosed area. Cindy stands and hurries to the new wall in front of her. “No!” She tries her best to blast through the rock, but is unable to penetrate through. “Jay! Guys! Help!”\n“Hold on, Cindy!” shouts Jay. “We’ll get you out!” \nZach stands and heads to the wall as well. “Benny?! Nate?! Are you there?!”\n“Yeah,” Benny calls out. “Hang in there, we’ll bust you out of there!” Benny and Nate start at the wall of rocks, digging to get their friend out with Team Rescuers doing the same for theirs. The wall of stone is not easy as the teams attempt at digging and blasting with their moves. \nCindy tries at shooting at the rocks, but exhausts herself quickly with barely a scratch in the wall. “W-what kind of stone is this?! Why can I not blast through?!”\nZach attempts to excavate, yet tires with the same progress made as the celebi. “Ugh… Not going to be able to get through this…”\n“Way to go, Aura Boy!” snaps Cindy. “Thanks to you and your team, we’re now trapped in here!”\n“You’re putting the blame on me?!” Zach utters. “That’s a load of berries! My team and I were peacefully getting by until your gang showed up!”\n“How dare you accuse us! Everything was fine before you three had to form your own little team! Couldn’t stand by and let us do the work, could you?!”\n“Hey, at least we’re getting things done around here! It’s not our fault Leafy Creek likes us better!”\n“I am done with this conversation!” She turns and walks away.\n“Fine!” The riolu faces the other direction. Both pokemon separate and occupy a corner with their arms crossed and backs toward each other. \nOn the other side of the wall, both teams become neck-and-neck when they’re near each other for the digging. The sides argue, accusing their rivals of starting the cave-in, as well as issues leading up to their recent conflict. We have to put our differences aside to get our friends out of this mess!”\n“Us work with them?!” spurts Jay. “After everything they’ve done to us?!”\n“Hey, it’s not our fault you pokemon are lazy and decided to just blame someone for your lack of willingness!” Benny adds in. “If you all weren’t so arrogant, we wouldn’t be in this situation!”\n“As if, Bunny Girl!” Miffy exclaims. “If you and those two idiot boys of yours didn’t decide to form a team, we wouldn’t be having this fight!”\n“That’s enough!” Ezma interrupts. “I don’t care who started this feud and who is to blame! Everything that could happened has happened, and now we have two pokemon who need help! Her head nearly in her arms. “Okay, maybe I am a little scared… I never really liked caves that much…”\n“Is it because you were you trapped in a cave when you were younger?”\n“How do you know?!” She utters accusingly, turning to him again.\nZach shows her his paws. “Hey, hey, relax… It was just a guess…”\n“Why do you even care?”\n“Because similar happened to me. I got lost in some caves with friends when I was younger. The experience was so scary, I hated every moment of it. That was until I was found…”\nCindy takes a deep breath in and out. “Well, you were correct… We went exploring in this abandoned mine and I got lost. Took hours for my parents to come find me… I’ve grown since that moment, and never thought I’d relive it again… until now.”\n“Listen, I’ve been thinking about this, and… I’m sorry for hitting on you. I know you’re pretty uncomfortable with me, and I want to make up for it. It’s just, I really like you… I do…”\n“If this is something you’re trying to get me to get close to you, forget it. One, it would never work out. Two, I like another pokemon already.”\nZach’s ears droop and appear flatten. “I see… But perhaps, maybe we could just start over, right? Maybe just as friends… What do you say?” He holds his paw out with his ears sticking back up. “We cool?”\n“If you think I’m going to be your friend, you’re dreaming,” she states. “I’m always going to be an adversary, especially with what you and your friends have done.” Zach’s ears wilt again, but they stand back up within a few seconds when the celebi gets to her feet. “However, Ezma is right; we need to put our differences aside and get out of here.”\n“All right. How do we do that?”\nCindy walks up to the wall and examines it. She places her paw on the surface and closes her eyes. Using her mind abilities, Cindy commences a scan of the structure separating them and their friends. “Seems like there’s a weakened portion of the barrier. Just need to trace it.” She ambles along the partition, looking for the unstable section. The celebi stops after traveling to the right corner of their side. “Here it is!” She opens her eyes and turns to the riolu. “Know how to use force palm?”\n“I do,” Zach responds.\n“Good! See if you can punch a hole in the wall here.” \n“I’ll give it a try.” As the celebi moves, the riolu performs his force palm ability, taking a small piece of wall out. “Well, that didn’t do anything…”\nCindy scans it again. “We just need to combine our moves together. Ready? Now!” She uses solar beam as Zach does force palm again. Their timed set chips away at the rock more. “Almost got it! Keep going!” They continue to execute their powers on the same spot until the rocks break away, revealing a small hole. \n“Woo!” Zach cheers. “We broke through!”\nBenny appears by the hole and peers through with Nate beside her. “Zach! Are you okay?!”\n“Out of the way, Cotton Buns!” Jay bumps her away and stands in view. “Cindy, how you doing?!”\n“We’re fine,” the celebi says. “Me and the riolu found a way to burst through. Our strength together is not enough, though. We need you guys, and Zach’s friends, to work as one and burst through this gap!”\n“What?! Are you nuts?! Work with them?!”\n“Trust me! It’s the only way to get us out!”\n“Have you poisoned her mind, Riolu?!”\n“Stop that and just do what I say!”\nThe buizel sighs. “You better be right about this. All right, guys, you heard her; blast at the rock!” He squirts his water gun while Casey uses his focus punch move. Nate blasts the weakened wall with ember with Benny throws in dizzy punch. Soon, Kenji and Miffy join up, as well as Gar Gar. With the combined might of both teams, especially from Zach and Cindy on the other side, they burst a giant hole in the wall, reuniting their teammates. We came here fair and square! Well, let’s see them try to open it with the most complex lock system in all the land. Cindy sighs and turns back to the front. Her head nearly in her arms. “Okay, maybe I am a little scared… I never really liked caves that much…”
“Is it because you were you trapped in a cave when you were younger?”
“How do you know?!” She utters accusingly, turning to him again.
Zach shows her his paws. “Hey, hey, relax… It was just a guess…”
“Why do you even care?”
“Because similar happened to me. I got lost in some caves with friends when I was younger. The experience was so scary, I hated every moment of it. That was until I was found…”
Cindy takes a deep breath in and out. “Well, you were correct… We went exploring in this abandoned mine and I got lost. Took hours for my parents to come find me… I’ve grown since that moment, and never thought I’d relive it again… until now.”
“Listen, I’ve been thinking about this, and… I’m sorry for hitting on you. I know you’re pretty uncomfortable with me, and I want to make up for it. It’s just, I really like you… I do…”
“If this is something you’re trying to get me to get close to you, forget it. One, it would never work out. Two, I like another pokemon already.”
Zach’s ears droop and appear flatten. “I see… But perhaps, maybe we could just start over, right? Maybe just as friends… What do you say?” He holds his paw out with his ears sticking back up. “We cool?”
“If you think I’m going to be your friend, you’re dreaming,” she states. “I’m always going to be an adversary, especially with what you and your friends have done.” Zach’s ears wilt again, but they stand back up within a few seconds when the celebi gets to her feet. “However, Ezma is right; we need to put our differences aside and get out of here.”
“All right. How do we do that?”
Cindy walks up to the wall and examines it. She places her paw on the surface and closes her eyes. Using her mind abilities, Cindy commences a scan of the structure separating them and their friends. “Seems like there’s a weakened portion of the barrier. Just need to trace it.” She ambles along the partition, looking for the unstable section. The celebi stops after traveling to the right corner of their side. “Here it is!” She opens her eyes and turns to the riolu. “Know how to use force palm?”
“I do,” Zach responds.
“Good! See if you can punch a hole in the wall here.”
“I’ll give it a try.” As the celebi moves, the riolu performs his force palm ability, taking a small piece of wall out. “Well, that didn’t do anything…”
Cindy scans it again. “We just need to combine our moves together. Ready? Now!” She uses solar beam as Zach does force palm again. Their timed set chips away at the rock more. “Almost got it! Keep going!” They continue to execute their powers on the same spot until the rocks break away, revealing a small hole.
“Woo!” Zach cheers. “We broke through!”
Benny appears by the hole and peers through with Nate beside her. “Zach! Are you okay?!”
“Out of the way, Cotton Buns!” Jay bumps her away and stands in view. “Cindy, how you doing?!”
“We’re fine,” the celebi says. “Me and the riolu found a way to burst through. Our strength together is not enough, though. We need you guys, and Zach’s friends, to work as one and burst through this gap!”
“What?! Are you nuts?! Work with them?!”
“Trust me! It’s the only way to get us out!”
“Have you poisoned her mind, Riolu?!”
“Stop that and just do what I say!”
The buizel sighs. “You better be right about this. All right, guys, you heard her; blast at the rock!” He squirts his water gun while Casey uses his focus punch move. Nate blasts the weakened wall with ember with Benny throws in dizzy punch. Soon, Kenji and Miffy join up, as well as Gar Gar. With the combined might of both teams, especially from Zach and Cindy on the other side, they burst a giant hole in the wall, reuniting their teammates. In the gathering, all of Team Rescuers encircles Cindy while Zach is hugged and squeezed by Benny. Nate stands behind, growling.
“Thank Arceus you’re okay, Zach!” Benny comments. She releases him. “You hurt?”
“Nah, I’m fine,” responds the riolu. “I’m glad to be out of there.”
“We’re not done, yet! Let’s get that treasure and then we can get the hell out of here!”
“Um, I’m afraid you’re late for that,” Nate utters. When Benny and Zach turn to him, he nods his head in the direction of where the treasure chest stood. All that stands is an empty, raised rock. “Guess Team Dumbbells made off with it before we could have a chance.”
“Damn it!” The rabbit pokemon shouts. “I can’t believe them! We came here fair and square! That was our treasure!”
“Let it go, Benny,” Zach tells her, putting a paw on her shoulder. “After what we’ve just been through, it’s not worth going deeper.”
Benny sighs. “Guess you’re right. Well, let’s see them try to open it with the most complex lock system in all the land. That chest is tighter than my… Cotton in the morning…”
“Uh, whoa,” comments Nate, blushing with surprise.
“Come on,” orders Zach. “Let’s just get out of here… I want to just go home and rest…” The others concur with him immediately and exit through another hole into the sunlight.
