"writing": "Night time has come back again for our campers in the little camp of Divine Pines. As the children all part and head for their cabins, Echo and Firework are currently preparing for bedtime. The robot cleans himself by his bed with a small polishing machine, while Firework brushes his teeth inside the bathroom. Their cabinmates have already fallen under the spell of the sandman, yet the two stay up a little longer, talking about their encounter with the shadow lurker and thinking if it’s possible the creature will come around again. \nJust as they gather by their bunk, they notice the pair of glowing amber eyes peering into their cabin from the window screens, supported by a shadowy figure. The orbs get closer, revealing the shadow to be the shadow lurker they had encountered the night before. \n“Look!” Firework points to the creature. “It shadow lurker. Same one from last night.” The dark animal begins to claw at the door. “What it want? Come in perhaps?”\n“I don’t know,” says Echo. \n“Let in, Echo!”\n“Firework, I don’t think-”\n“Echo let in! Echo let in!” \n“Okay, okay, sheesh.” The robot motions over to the door and opens it. “Hey there,” he starts. “Nice to see you again, Little Fella. Care to enter?” The shadow lurker jumps away and leaves the spot. “Huh? Where are you going? I didn’t mean to frighten you!” \n“Don’t go!” Firework pushes past the robot and exits the hut. “Where shadow lurker be?”\n“Firework wait!” Echo tails the dragon as they leave the hut and venture to where the shadow lurker is speculated to be. By doing so, they end up by another cabin, where two kids emerge from to join them; their friends, Nectar and Cyan.\n“Hey,” Cyan starts. “What’s going on out here?”\nFirework stops and faces the two kids. “Firework and Echo see shadow lurker. Shadow lurker went off. Wanted to find it and see where it went.”\n“It’s probably gone, Firework,” Echo tells him. “I don’t see it. And I can’t find it anywhere on my scanners.”\n“It’s gone already?” Nectar asks. “Well, that was a short visit. Did you get a picture of it?” Echo shakes his head for “no.” “Aw man, I wanted to see a shadow lurker. Would’ve been so cool to actually see one.”\n“We should go to bed, Nectar,” Cyan says, tugging the bee’s purple arm. He turns to the door. “I’m sorry, we-” He freezes and immediately changes to shock, gazing at the small, brown creature before him. “Oh… My… God…” \n“Shadow lurker back!” Firework utters. “Yay!” \n“Um…” Cyan remains still like a statue. “Hi there… How are you doing…?” The creature proceeds to sniff around the mouse, then grabs him by the paw firmly. After a couple of seconds, it lets go, then goes to Nectar and does the same.\n“Heheh!” Nectar can’t help but laugh, feeling its nose across his body. “That tickles!” After its brief grasp-greet, it heads off and disappears. “Well, that was something. Quite an interesting creature.” The animal ruffles through the bushes, returning with fruit in its arms. It places it in front of the children. \n“Oh,” Echo spurts, orange in curiosity. “Such lovely fruit. Is this for us?” The shadow lurker backs off a little, then sits on the ground. “I take that as a ‘yes’ then.” He scans the produce and concludes they are not poisonous.\n“Firework and friends appreciate fruit,” says Firework. “Firework not hungry, though. Firework thank you, though.” The shadow lurker quickly turns its head to face the direction of other cabins. “Huh? What shadow lurker looking at?” The creature speeds away and disappears into the forest. “Wait, where shadow lurker going?”\n“Well, if it isn’t the dwebs,” utters a voice. The kids turn to see the rat pack approach with Rodney in front of them. They stop before the other kids. “And what are ‘we’ doing around here now, hm?”\nFirework stands with his friends and opens his wings. “Back off! Firework know how to use fire!”\nEcho places his hand on the dragon’s shoulder, gesturing to stand down before facing the rodent lot. “Why are you four here? What are you even doing out of bed?”\n“Funny, because we were just about to ask you.” He crosses his arms. His three friends do the same. “Why are you four up passed lights out?”\n“We just got up when Echo and Firework came around,” says Cyan. “We saw them outside our cabin.”\n“Yeah,” Nectar adds. “They said they found-” \nEcho quickly covers the bee’s mouth. Firework doing the same with Cyan. “Fruit!” The robot fills in. “We found impressive fruit growing on the trees nearby.” \nBarry looks at the produce situated around their feet and some in the kids’ arms. “You consider a bunch of apples and pears impressive? How pathetic.”\n“Fruits good for body!” Firework utters, inserting to aid in his defense. “Make healthy and strong! We share with friends!”\n“Uh huh,” Rodney spurts. “And you just happen to want to share them with your buddies, right? You four are hiding something, aren’t you?”\n“What would we be hiding?” Echo asks. “I thought we weren’t an ‘interesting bunch’ to you.”\n“Wes think something is going on. We heard you and the lizard shouting. What were you calling out?” \n“Oh!” Firework puts his arms behind his back. “Firework befriended little bug. Was small and cute. Firework was trying to find him.”\n“Man, you two really are an uninteresting bunch. Who let you in here?”\n“That is none of your concerns,” the robot assures him. “How we do things is not for you to decide on.”\n“Whatever, Tin Boy.” Rodney turns and starts away. “Come on, fellas. Let’s leave the freaks to the dark.” The three of them follow their leader.\nEcho faces the bee and mouse. “We understand you having our backs, but we need to assure you of the situation. Scoutmaster Buck had informed us not to share our encounter with the shadow lurker.”\n“Yeah, yeah,” Firework adds in. “If scoutmaster learn this more, more trouble.”\n“Oh,” begins Nectar. “I see…”\n“Let us promise to each other that we shall not speak of this to anyone,” Echo orders. “It could land us in trouble. That, and possibly the end of our new friend of the forest.” Nectar and Cyan agree with these terms before exchanging goodnights with them and heading back into the cabin. As the group parts, the rat pack watch them end their conversations.\n“So, they think they could get away with a shadow lurker, huh?” comments Barry. “Not if we tell the scoutmaster this.”\n“Hold on there, Beaver Brains,” Rodney spurts. “Let’s not involve the scoutmaster with this.” The group turns to him, wondering why. “We’re already in hot water with him because of them. Besides, it’s better that we sit back and watch to see what these twerps do. Then and only then will we be able to formulate a plan.” He and his gang head into their cabin and shut the door. \n",
