", "writing": "Deep in the caverns of a mountainous terrain outside of the village, the three pokemon start their journey inside for their first adventure. Armed with a torch lit by the fennekin, Benny leads the way through the tunnel, beginning their way into the dungeon. “Stay close,” she orders. “These types of dungeons may contain traps. We don’t want to accidentally set one off.”\n“This place is pretty creepy,” comments Nate. “The whole adventure idea was so much better in my head…”\n“Reminds me of a movie I saw,” Zach adds. “It was about this guy looking for something of a tomb, and he ran into some booby traps.” \n“Hopefully, we don’t-” Upon taking a step, Nate’s foot sinks to the floor, causing him to freeze. “Um…” Benny and Zach stop and face him. “What just-” Out of the wall, an arrow flies from one of the holes. He and Zach dodge it as it whooshes past them. “Whoa!” \n“A booby trap,” Benny claims. She faces the archway at the end of the hall lined with holes. “And it looks like we’ll have to be cautious of it all the way to the end.” \n“How are we going to do that, now?” the fennekin asks.\n“Hm…” Zach notices some of the raised stones, including the one Nate stepped on. “Just keep your eyes on the floor. Some of those stepping stones are raised. They may be the buttons that activate the traps.”\n“We’ll just have to walk around them, then,” Benny says. The gang make their way down the hallway, evading the high rocks in the floor, trying carefully not to activate the trap. Halfway across the corridor, Nate pauses as to try not to step on a stone in front of him. However, Zach collides with him, causing the fennekin to push forward and step on the platform, activating the arrows. With quick thinking and fast moves, the three dodge the pointy projectiles as they make it to the other side. \n“My Arceus!” Nate spurts. “That was way too close!”\n“Try not to do that with the next area, will you?” asks Benny. “Last thing I want is for us to die trying to retrieve this artifact.” \n“Hopefully, that won’t happen in the next room,” Zach comments. The three pokemon now have to cross a wide ravine with a rock-strewn bridge with symbols on each cobblestone. When Benny takes one step on a random stone, the flagstone vibrates. Her reaction being to take her foot back before the hard brick falls and breaks on sharp stalagmites on the cave floor below, about one-hundred meters down. “I stand corrected…”\n“Great,” Nate utters. “Now, how do we get across this puzzle?”\nBenny holds her torch up, taking notice of the wall next to her. “Oh Boys, I think the answer’s here.” The three look to where she means, taking notice of the same symbols on the wall like on the cobblestone. “We just have to stand on the stone of the corresponding image. Seems simple.” She takes her first leap onto the first symbolled-cobblestone from the wall. Then, she hops to the next like the bunny pokemon she is. “Come along, Boys! Try not to screw this one up!” The two other pokemon follow her lead. \nUpon skipping stones and landing, Zach loses his balance and falls back onto an incorrect stone back first. The cobble shakes and begins to fall, taking the riolu with it. “Yipe!!!” Benny rushes over to grab him by his tail before he could follow the stone. He stares down at the jagged rocks below. “Oh Lord!!!” Benny, with the help of Nate alongside her, pulls him up and back onto the bridge. “Thanks, you guys…”\n“Stop fooling around,” Benny points out. “Let’s get going.” She and the boys make it to the other side, stopping for a minute to catch their breaths. The buneary looks ahead to see a small, golden statue on a pedestal in the center of the room. “Well, I’ll be… It’s the artifact from the posting.”\n“Just two traps?” Nate ponders. “That was easy…”\n“And to the victor, go the spoils.” Zach smiles as he walks over to it.\n“Don’t touch it!” shouts Benny with her arm extending out, causing him to freeze and face her. “It could be rigged to another trap!”\n“Benny, we just conquered two traps,” Zach states. “I think we’re pretty good from here.” He lifts up the statue with his paws. “See? Nothing to it.” The pedestal sinks into the ground beside him. “Uh, uh oh…”\n“What’s that you said about being rigged?” Nate adds. The caverns vibrate violently while sloshing sounds echo throughout the tunnels. The gang turn and see an enormous wall of water rushing towards them.\n“Oh no!” Benny yells. “Guys, run!” The two other pokemon don’t hesitate to follow her order as the three sprint away from the waves down another hallway. The pokemon try speeding up, but end up swept away by the liquid, traveling down the tunnel and out of the mountainside. They wash up at a spring, pushed to the grassy shore, all soaking wet. \n“Is everyone okay?” asks Zach, coughing up water.\n“I think so…” Nate shakes himself off, getting puffy after drying. “Ooff!”\n“You just had to touch the artifact, right?” Benny utters. “You couldn’t listen to me and be cautious?!”\nZach rubs the back of his head. “Heh, sorry…” He holds up the golden statue. “At least we’ve got it.”\n“And we’ll be taking it,” spurts a voice. The three turn to the source to see a band of other pokemon appear. One of them being a sneasel. “We just want to thank you very much for getting that for us.”\n“Excuse me?” Zach queries. “Who are you guys?”\n“Pokemon you don’t want to mess with,” the sneasel declares. “Now, hand over the statue.”\nBenny crosses her arms. Her eyebrows dipped into her eyes, showing refusal. “And what makes you think we’ll give it to you?”\nThe sneasel steps toward her. “Well, Sweetheart, you wouldn’t want to make us angry now, would you?” The dark type runs his claws under her chin. “In fact, it would be ashamed if a couple of nice pokemon like you get hurt.”\n“Leave her alone!” Nate orders. He widens his legs as if ready to pounce and grits his teeth. “Or I’ll-” A scraggy pins him to the ground, preventing him from doing much.\n“Nate!” Benny lunges forward. “Let him go, you bullies! You don’t want to make me angry! I’ll-” A gible of the group grabs her by the arms and restrains her. She struggles in the shark pokemon’s grasps. “Let me go! I will get you all and-” The gible also covers her mouth, shutting her up. \nThe sneasel walks up to the riolu, who just stands there with the statue. The dark type readies its claws as if about to fight. “Your friends won’t help you now, Riolu.”\n“Don’t hurt them!” Zach tells him. \n“The statue,” the sneasel says. “Give me the statue. Don’t try anything smart, either.” Zach looks at his struggling friends, then back at the sneasel, letting out a sigh of defeat. He extends his arms out with the artifact. “Here… Take it…” \nThe sneasel smiles and grabs the golden object from his paws. “Wise riolu, you are.”\n“My friends… Let them go, please.”\n“Sure. But first.” The sneasel knocks the riolu in the head with a hard punch. The gible tackles Benny as a way to stun her, while the scraggy kicks Nate as a similar tactic. The pokemon run off into the forest to get away. “Suckers, haha!”\nBenny gets up and helps Zach, who slowly rises with a paw on his head. “You all right, Zach?”\n“Man,” the riolu grunts. “Sneasels sure hit hard…”\n“Way to go, Zach!” Nate shouts. “You just gave up our treasure to those bandits! Why would you even do that?!”\n“What else could I do?” answers Zach. “We were in trouble, and there was no way of fighting out that situation. I didn’t want you to get hurt…” \n“It’s okay,” Benny assures him. “You didn’t know. We were outnumbered, and there was nothing you could do.”\nZach frowns and looks away. “It doesn’t make me feel better… I wish I could’ve dealt with those guys easily… If only I knew how to work my abilities…”\nBenny nudges him. “You know what? Why don’t we head back to town and go to the training gym? Perhaps I could help you become better acquainted with your fighting-type moves. While we’re there, it’ll be good for me to practice, too.”\n“Hm,” Nate comments. “I’d like to become better with my fire capabilities. I’m sick of being pushed around because of my size…”\n“We’ll work on your stuff, as well,” Benny claims. “Come on, guys. Let’s go back to the village.
