"writing": "The younglings split into small groups, gathering at tables each. The robot and dragon, armed with their trays, walk down the clear aisle between the tables and scan for some seating. They become increasingly shy as the eyes of the little ones watch them, smiles occupying their faces while some cannot contain laughter. Embarrassed, the two amble down, passing the occupied seats, until one of the children at the farthest table calls to them, luring them over. The robot and dragon walk over, curious of what the other kid’s request is. They make out the other youngster as a grey rat in scout’s uniform. “You two put on quite the show at dodgeball,” the rodent tells them, boyish in tone. “You had the entire camp laughing.”\n“Accident,” replies Firework. “Was accident.”\n“Um, yes,” Echo utters with a mannerly attitude. “What my dragon companion is trying to say is, it wasn’t intentional.”\n“Couple of newbies make mistakes like that,” says the rat. “Name’s Rodney.” He extends his arm to the lemming next to him. “This here’s Larry.” He then moves his arm to the chinchilla on his other side. “This is Carl.” The rat then points to the beaver with glasses across from him. “And that’s Barry. We call ourselves the “Rat Pack” because we stick together.”\n“Um, cool,” the robot comments. “I’m Echo, artificial intelligence. Pleasure to meet you fellas.”\n“My name Firework,” Firework squeaks. “Firework like meeting new friends.”\n“Um, right,” the rat continues. “Looks like yous could use a drink with your food.”\nEcho changes to orange. “What’s wrong with the beverages we have on our trays now?”\n“Oh, nothing. Just thought maybe yous want something a little better. Maybe a can of pop?” He takes a metal can from Barry, who has pulled it from his pack, and holds it to them. “This stuff’s the “bomb” when it comes to drinks. Here.” He places it on the dragon’s tray. “Have it on us.”\n“Aw, thankies!” Firework says. “Firework like rat pack already.”\n“Sit.” Rodney and his gang slide over to give them room. “We’ll make your camp experience an unforgettable moment.” Grateful for receiving good treatment, the robot and dragon place their trays on the surface of the table and sit down with smiles. “Try the pop. It’s a ‘blast’!” \n“Firework love soda.” The dragon puts his paw on the tap and tries to pry it open. “Ugh! Tap hard! What wrong?”\nEcho takes notice of the quadruple sliding all the way down to the end of the table, changing to orange. “Hey, why are you guys sliding over-” He catches them grinning and sneering, quickly transitioning to white for fear before pivoting to the dragon. “Firework, wait!”\nPop! The can is opened by the grey dragon. “Got it!” Shooting out from the can, colorful string flies all over the two friends, covering them in the sticky, thin ropes. All the other children turn to see the robot and dragon covered with the string and begin laughing. “W-what happened…?”\n“Oh man!” the chinchilla lets out, laughing. “That was the greatest prank I ever saw!” \nEcho looks back at the four rodents. “What’s the big idea?”\n“The big idea?” repeats the beaver. “The big idea is, you two are a couple of losers.”\nEcho’s eyes and screens change to blue. “I thought we were friends.”\n“Well, ‘friends’,” Rodney begins. “Yous better take this as a little message. The message being, you’re not liked around here and you’re better off somewheres else. Now, go find a different table. You’re not worthy to sit with the rat pack.”\nFirework’s ears droop. “But… but rodents invite Echo and Firework to sit with them.”\n“And now we’re kicking yous out.” The chinchilla and lemming stand, go around to the robot and dragon, then grab them. The two friends are hoisted in the air and thrown away onto the ground before being pelted with their trays. The children around them continue to laugh and point at them. The rat stands over them. “Better find someplace else to be. Yous two will be getting a lot of that from us.” Saddened and embarrassed, the robot and dragon pick themselves up. \n“Come, Firework,” Echo tells his friend. “Let’s just sit at the table in the corner. You know, the one with nobody at it?”\n“Firework behind Echo…” Firework picks up his tray and collects everything onto it before helping the robot with his. The two then venture away to the table in the corner. They sit there with their heads tilted down at their scattered meals. Once they collect at the table, they place their trays down. Their heads hang low and their faces show sadness; frowns painted in place.\n“So much for making friends,” Echo comments. He turns to the dragon, noticing him dropping food into his backpack. He changes to orange as he’s curious. “Firework, what are you doing?”\nFirework quickly zips up his bag and faces him quickly. “Firework just saving food to eat other time.” As he drops his bag to the floor, it starts to jump and bounce. \n“Firework, your backpack’s moving!” Echo utters.\nFirework places a paw on his pack to stop it. “Firework not know what Echo’s talking about.” He smiles awkwardly.\n“What’s in the bag, Firework?” the robot asks. \n“Nothing! Firework have nothing…” The pack shifts from his grip and bounces to Echo’s feet. \nEcho jolts forward and unzips it open. Appearing from the shadows inside is a lavender, cloud-like creature with a dark blue, swirly tail and ears. Golden eyes peer at the robot. The creature springs out and latches itself onto the robot, wrapping its tail around him and snuggles. “Cotton?! Firework, why is Cotton here?” Echo’s colors are orange in surprise while Firework remains silent. He turns to the dragon. “Why was he in your bag? Did you just smuggle him here?!” \n“Uh huh,” the grey dragon answers, nodding lightly. He picks up the backpack in his arms. “Firework didn’t want to leave Cotton. Firework not do that.” The fluffball purrs inside the safety of the bag. “Firework care for Cotton too much.”\nEcho’s mood quickly changes, turning his colors red with anger. “Are you trying to get us into trouble?! What if any of the other kids see him, or worse, the scoutmaster? If we get caught…”\n“Firework keep Cotton hidden,” the dragon tells him. “Nobody but us know. Besides, Cotton all we have.”\nEcho sighs, changing back to his blue colors. “Well, for once, you’re right…”\nBack over at the rat pack’s table, they watch as the two kids talk with the backpack. \n“Ugh,” Larry spurts. “They’re so weird! Look at them talking…”\n“Why are they even here?” asks Carl. “They don’t even belong at this camp.”\n“Don’t worry about them,” Rodney assures. “They won’t be enjoying their summer, though. No one messes with the rat pack!” \n",
