She also learns a lot of fighting moves from Ralph, who educates her on what to do in combat. From Olly, swimming is something useful, being faster and acquire endurance. And for Zach, well, not much from the riolu other than the dodging skills he learned back from the circus. Many pokemon of the forest struggle to control the raging inferno, but the blaze is much faster in spreading than the time it takes to put it out.\n“It’s getting out of control too fast!” shouts Olly. “We have to stop it!” The oshawott shoots his water gun at the flames with the other water pokemon, but little is done to keep the fire from growing.\n“Olly can’t keep squirting at it forever,” Ralph says with concern. “There has to be another way to break the flames.”\nZach takes notice of fire by some dirt and burnt grass, which doesn’t progress any further and stays put. “I’ve got an idea…” He turns to the dragonite and scorbunny. “Diego, I want you to take Ralph with you. Ralph, burn the ground around the fire.”\n“Are you crazy?!” Diego utters. “You want to burn the forest further?!”\n“It’ll contain the fire and keep it in one spot,” Zach explains. “It won’t spread any more than that.” Hesitant yet agreeing with the idea, Diego picks up Ralph to take to the skies. As the dragonite holds the scorbunny in his arms, Ralph breathes out fire from his mouth around the area the fire is within. Back on the ground, Melissa works with Zach in vacating injured and incapacitated pokemon from the fire zone. Olly continues to hose down the inferno when Zach tells him to aim for the base of the fire. It saves the oshawott more time as the flames start to die. \nOnce the pokemon within proximity of the blaze have been evacuated and the areas around the zone have been burnt to prevent further spread, Zach, Melissa, Ralph, and Diego focus all their efforts in extinguishing the great fire. With coordinated effort and quick thinking, the blaze starts to die. The once green trees and grass are now blackened with ash and soot, but the forest is saved.\nThe next priority for the team is caring for the injured and homeless who were in the area of the fire. Their code of honor, of which they grew and were trained by, obliges them to concern about the safety and security of others. So, they direct the unfortunate victims back to their cave and look after them. Their stocks from gathering before happen to pile to the ceiling, and are enough to supply the injured and homeless with food, water, and medicine. They make more nests and resting places for them and treat any in need of medical assistance. It’s a rough night, and it takes them about two-to-three hours for them to get everyone settled in and comfortable. The pokemon of the forest are thankful towards the team for their heroic efforts against the blaze and for taking them in so they can be looked after for the night. \nA smile appears on Zach’s face as he hears the pokemon utter their thanks to him.
