Who could it be?", "writing": "This is life for Zach, now; living in a cave with three other pokemon who had been abandoned, ignored, or ruined by Team Rescuers. But it isn’t all bad for him. For once, he feels very useful because of the supplies he goes and fetches. Due to his help, he and the others gather food, water, wood, and medicine. They also train each other and better their skills when it comes to combat. Zach is a bit happier that he now has a purpose… Well, almost.\nBy this time, it’s been about a week since Zach’s “disappearance” from Leafy Creek. Team Rescuers have conducted a “search” of the forest, though not too thorough, and have come to a halt and taken assumption that the riolu’s dead. This news then gets spread to the town, who find no care in the matter, except for one pokemon. That pokemon wouldn’t believe the rescue team and go out to search for the missing riolu, believing him to still be alive.\nBack in the forest, Zach, Ralph, and Olly are out for a walk as Diego stays back at the cave to tidy up and rearrange everything to make it more comfortable. The riolu walks among the bank of the lake with his friends following. \n“It’s been a while out here,” Ralph says. “We should head back and-” A loud shriek echoes throughout the forest, catching the boys off-guard. “What was that?!”\nThe riolu senses another presence in the forest through his aura abilities. “Someone’s in trouble!” Zach stops what he’s doing and immediately runs to where the source of the screams had come from. Ralph and Olly follow from behind. The three boys stop by some trees and look ahead into a clearing to see a shiny buneary struggling to defend herself from a swarm of zubats. \n“That buneary’s in trouble,” Olly utters. “We have to help her!”\n“Follow my lead,” Ralph says. “We’ll take them by-” Zach doesn’t listen and instead rushes forward. “Zach, wait! We need to save her together!” The riolu rushes to get in front of the buneary and start punching and kicking the zubats away. One of the flying pokemon manage to bite him on the arm with their poison fang move. Zach doesn’t let up once bitten, and continues to fight off the swarm. Using his metal claw move and newly-learned force palm, he successfully fends off the bat pokemon and keeps the bunary safe. He turns to the pink-fluffed bunny. “Are you all right?”\n“I…” The buneary is stunned when she looks at him in the eyes. “You saved my life…” Zach grunts and kneels to the ground with his cheeks turning purple, having been poisoned from battle. “Oh my gosh!” \nRalph emerges with Olly to tend to the riolu. “Zach!” They help him to his feet. “Come on, let’s get you back to the cave.” They waste no time hurrying him back to Diego. The shiny buneary follows them from behind and arrives at their home. Zach is laid against the rocky wall as the dragonite tends to him, feeding the riolu a pecha berry to neutralize the poison effects while he wraps his arm with a leaf bandage to cover his wounds. When Diego asks how this happened, Olly and Ralph explain the situation. Zach holds his bandaged wound, feeling the pain throb on his arm. \n“Thank you for saving me,” the shiny buneary tells the riolu. “I appreciate you jumping into the swarm to protect me.”\n“Hey, don’t mention it,” Zach utters. “I’m glad you’re-” He takes a good look at the buneary girl, suddenly sparking his memory. “Wait, I know you… I’ve seen you around Leafy Creek everywhere I went… The arena, outside Lana’s shop, the circus, the sky port…”\n“Yes, I’m the shiny buneary that’s been following you,” she says. “My name is Melissa, and I came looking for you… When Team Rescuers announced that you were killed in the forest, I didn’t believe it. So, I went to Lana to find out the truth… Once I learned you were alive and where you were, I came out here to find you.”\n“You came out here… for me…?” She nods, bringing shock to his face. “Why…?”\n“Because I actually think you’re better than those idiots in the guild. When you rose up against those bullies, I started to like you more. I feel bad for you as well, having to go through all of those horrible things Team Rescuers caused for you, yet you never gave up. I wanted to approach you and ask to be with you, but I couldn’t…”\n“Why didn’t you? Why did you wait until now to come forward?”\n“I was afraid… Afraid that Team Rescuers and the pokemon of Leafy Creek would harm me…”\n“You have nothing to worry about, Melissa,” Diego tells her. “Team Rescuers won’t be coming out here for any reason.”\n“Thank you,” she tells the dragonite, then faces Zach again. “Zach, I’m sorry I couldn’t come to you until now.
