Zach’s been raised by a horrible pokemon team, kicked out because he messed up, which they wanted, Zach discovered his real meaning, decided to join the circus, got kicked out and blamed for starting the fire, hurled away by Team Rescuer’s blimp, fell and nearly drowned in a lake, then saved by two pokemon out in the forest. There, all caught up now? Zach has been tossed around and left to the elements, and all the pokemon of Leafy Creek don’t even care. Have you gone to pity the poor riolu? If you have, then great! I’m doing a good job. If not, then I don’t know what to think of you. You can keep reading if you want, or you can stop now and forget it. But, without further a due, time to jump into this next chapter.\nZach is found lying in a nest within a cave, unconscious. His head presses up against a big leg of an unknown origin as a large paw with the same color strokes him on the head. The riolu slowly opens his eyes and looks up at where the paw is coming from: A dragonite in a yellow bandana with goggles of the same color on his head. Zach’s eyelids pull back all the way and backs away in shock. \n“Whoa, easy there,” says the dragonite. “I’m not going to hurt you. We were worried about you.” The riolu sees the oshawott and scorbunny appear by the dragon pokemon’s side. \n“You almost drowned in the lake,” the oshawott tells him. “We took you here to make sure you were all right.”\n“Speaking of which,” the scorbunny brings up. “Are you okay?”\n“W-who are you?” Zach asks. “And where am I?” The three pokemon introduce themselves as Diego the Dragonite, Olly the Oshawott, and Ralph the Scorbunny. They claim the cave as their own, but only as a means of shelter. When they ask for the riolu’s identity, Zach informs them of his name. \n“So, Zach,” Ralph begins. “Where do you come from?”\n“Leafy Creek,” the riolu answers. “I grew up with this guild called ‘Team Rescuers’.” \n“Oh, we’re very fond of that name,” Diego tells him. “If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be living this way…”\nZach remains fixed on them with a surprised, but confused look. “W-what? Team Rescuers brought misery and suffering to you three? I thought I was the only one…”\n“Well, you aren’t,” Olly adds. “And my dumb buizel brother didn’t bother to see if I was all right…”\n“Buizel brother…? You’re Jay’s brother!”\n“Step brother,” the oshawott corrects. “And I don’t see him that way… He’s been the favorite child, even after I hatched… When he decided to pursue a life of helping others, I was inspired to take up that dream, too. But, he had other plans… After Jay became famous in the guild, Mom and Dad praised him and gave him all of the attention. As for me, I was left out of everything… Whenever I asked for attention or help, I was turned away. Eventually, I ran away and decided to live a new life on my own…”\n“Oh jeez,” Zach comments. “I never knew… I’m sorry…”\n“Team Rescuers costed me my guild,” implies Diego. “We were based in another town not too far from Leafy Creek. Every guild protected and maintained their own territories and shared peace. Then, Team Rescuers had beat us to every mission and job we were assigned. We tried to keep up and work hard, but we were only delaying the initiable… Our guild dissolved, and everybody gave up. Team Rescuers had expanded their team to cover the territories adjacent to Leafy Creek’s. My guild members all took different jobs around town. But me, well, I decided to leave and try to live a better life, hoping to be accepted into another guild. It never happened… So, that’s why I’m here…”\n“It’s not as bad as actually being in Team Rescuers,” Ralph starts telling. Well, Ezma believed him more, and I was fired, literally. I had learned the truth from Ezma’s friend, Lana, and tried to repurpose myself as a circus performer. It was good there for the moment, then things got worse… Kenji, jealous and thinking I was keeping Betty the Brionne away from him, attacked me and ended up burning the circus as a result. I was let go and blamed for the incident. I went to complain to them, but as they left, I was caught on the rope of the blimp. They cut the line, and I fell into the lake. I would’ve drowned if Olly hadn’t saved me.
