"writing": "Didn’t expect that up there now, did you? There will be no “episodes,” but rather chapters, or segments, of this story. So, now we move onto the good stuff here, where we pass time and see how everything has changed. I would like to point out that to most people, pokemon evolution is not aging, but a means of transformation into the next stage of life. Why do I say this? Because when you read the prologue and this chapter, you will see not much physical features have changed in the pokemon. Remember, evolution is more of an advanced stage due to leveling, not aging.\nRight, so Zach has “grown” a little more and started to obtain perceptions of the world around him, including the pokemon he’s with. While being around Team Rescuers, Zach became enthralled with the idea of being an expedition member, going on exciting missions and helping those in need. Well, because his “family” are the guardians of Leafy Creek, he’s more than thrilled to learn from them. He wears his old blue blanket as a bandana, trying to fit in with the rescuers. Zach has tried teaching himself moves a riolu would as well as practice in certain scenarios. He’ll even ask his teammates with help training. However, the rest of the gang don’t want to help him. Zach is pretty much on his own when it comes to practicing. Not even Ezma wants to help him.\nZach approaches the table where the gang is gathered around. “Hey guys!” He wears a smile upon his face in contrast to his team. “Does anybody feel like training today? I want to see how good I am!”\n“How many times are you going to ask that, huh?” queries Jay. “No one is interested in helping you train.”\n“Why can’t anyone just see how well I’m doing?” the riolu utters. “I’m trying very hard to be like you guys, and you guys don’t think I could do well. How am I going to know what to do if no one shows me the right way to do things?”\n“Maybe if you’d stop annoying us, we may be inclined to train you,” Cindy adds. “Instead, you keep whining like a little baby!”\n“Enough!” Ezma floats in the air. “You are all dismissed! Go!” The team all scramble away from the table, except for Zach, who walks closer to the mew. She sighs. “What do you want? Can’t you see I’m busy?”\n“Forgive me, Guild Master Ezma,” Zach begins. “I just want to know when you or any of the team are available to discuss my training…”\n“Um…” Ezma is not the type of pokemon to fabricate a lie, yet she still tries to make excuses. “Listen, Zach. We’re constantly busy trying to carry out missions and maintain order here in Leafy Creek. I’m afraid there’s never any time to get you trained. In fact, we’re just about to head out for our next task.”\n“Then I can come too, right?”\n“Zach, I-”\n“It wouldn’t be a bad idea to go out with you guys and show you what I’ve learned, wouldn’t it? Besides, I can also learn from you so I know what’s going on.”\n“Zach, it would be better if you-”\n“I’ll come along and help you guys! I’m certain I’m ready!” Zach dashes off out of the room.\nEzma sighs. “The boy never truly learns, does he…? I have a terrible feeling about this…” She floats away.\nNow, I know what you’re thinking; you want to see what happens next. You want to see some cool, hot action, right? Well, I wasn’t planning on writing the next scene, but I suppose some action is better of the story. It’s not going to be very cool like you’d hope. \nI now take you to the scene of the battle: Team Rescuers is out in an open field, battling against a rouge nidoking. The Gar Gar, Ezma, and Cindy take flight and hit the large pokemon from the air while the rest of the team are on the ground. Miffy and Casey are taking the purple creature from the rear as Jay and Kenji face it head on. This battle is just about over, until…\n“Here I come!” Zach rushes in and heads straight for the assault. “Let’s end this!” Optimistic, the riolu jumps into the air and uses his rock smash move in an attempt to finish the battle. His attack strays away from his intended target and hits everyone of his team instead. The rogue nidoking uses this opportunity to flee from the scene and disappear into the forest. “Um…” Zach rubs the back of his head. “Whoops…”\nAn angry Kenji gets up and turns to the riolu. “You damn idiot!” He points toward him. “You let the nidoking get away!”\n“Yeah, what is wrong with you?!” Casey agrees. “That wasn’t very smart on your part, was it?”\n“I’m… sorry,” Zach responds. “I was just trying to help… I just-”\n“You’re sorry?!” Kenji stomps towards him. “Why I ought to-”\nGar Gar gets in front of him, stopping the monkey pokemon dead in his tracks. “Kenji, stop!” The monferno huffs and puffs, still angry from the results of the battle. “Listen, I know we may have messed up, but look at it this way; at least we’ve kept that nidoking from returning.”\n“WE?!” Kenji repeats. “’We’ weren’t the ones who messed up!” He points to Zach. “It was all his doing that let him slip! If he hadn’t pulled that move, we would’ve had that nidoking under lock and key!”\n“Calm down, Hothead,” says Jay. “Even if that nidoking comes back, we’ll get him next time.” Kenji turns and takes off in a different direction. His teammates watch as he storms off back to base before looking at Zach. They stare at him speechlessly, then they all follow the path their friend had taken off in. Zach sighs with disappointment as his ears droop.\nEzma, who has stayed behind, floats next to him. “I tried to tell you that you weren’t ready for this, but you wouldn’t listen now, would you?”\n“It was just a mistake,” Zach implies. “Everybody makes them… I-I just have to keep practicing. I know I can do good… I just have to try harder and be better at it. It’s like you always say; failure isn’t about falling down, it’s staying down. I haven’t failed yet… I’ll get it better the next time. I’ll meet you at base.” He heads off in the direction of his teammates. Ezma sighs and floats behind him.\nZach has returned to base, but is shunned and ignored by everyone for the day, leaving him to practice some more and try and be better. This has not been the first time Zach has messed up in battle, and it certainly is not the last. The riolu has caused trouble many times with Team Rescuers. Most of his blunders have been close to costing the gang their licensure and reputation of the town. The blame was put on the team for a while, then once the citizens realize what was happening, they shifted their hatred onto Zach. \nI know, it wasn’t much action or thrills for the first chapter, but I’m not trying to write a cool action narrative. This tale I’m writing is mostly to talk about Zach’s story. And as I said before, it’s different than my normal writings in that, it’s basically me getting my thoughts and fantasies down on digital paper for you to be entertained by. It’s sort of like freewriting, only this is mostly going to put emphasis on my riolu character. If you don’t like it, then stop reading and find something else. But, if you find this interesting and want to keep reading, I applaud you good sir/madam. Stay tuned for more!",
