The chosen pokemon teams up with others in the world and go on wacky adventures. This story will not focus on that aspect, but will have elements similar to that of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Instead, we shall focus on a built-up world by pokemon for pokemon. This will be a very different telling from my usual stories, so get ready. But, without further a due, let us get started!\nThe setting is in a town by the name of Leafy Creek, a small, peaceful village located along the banks of the river surrounded by trees in an area for which it’s named. In this town, we see pokemon go about their daily lives under dark, gloomy skies. Rain proceeds to drop lightly on the unsuspecting creatures as they walk around. Nearby a set of garbage cans, a hooded figure ambles closely toward the wooden waste bins as they set down a package bundled in a small blue blanket. From the looks of their blackened paws and spikes on the top part of the palms show us the creature is a lucario. The pokemon then strays away from the area after quickly scanning their surroundings. \nA curious mew wearing a blue amulet around her neck and a red armband around her right arm floats closer to the waste basket where the lucario had been. She careful examines the contents of the package. Nestled in the blue bundle is an egg, decorated with blue spots. Upon closer inspection of this wonder, the mew takes notice of cracks forming in the surface. The shell then bursts open to reveal a surprise: a riolu! The blue and black creature looks up at the pink pokemon, eyeing her with his brown eyes as she stares at the little boy. \n“Hm,” the mew goes. “Looks like that lucario really didn’t want you, huh?” She sighs. “Well, I could be a better mother than that tramp could ever be.” She reaches out and picks up the jackal pokemon into her arms, carrying the blue blanket. With no time to spare, the mew floats away from the town and proceeds to a Japanese-style temple sitting atop of a small hill outside of town. Upon entry, she is greeted by her teammates; a buizel with a red armband much like hers, a celebi with a red bandana, a monferno with a yellow mask and red band around his tail, an eevee with a flower crown and red scarf, a scraggy with a red bowtie, and a gligar with goggles and a red neckerchief. \n“Hey, Ezma!” the gligar greets her. “What do you have there?”\n“What does it look like to you?” the mew asks. “It’s a sack of pecha berries…” The riolu is seen hugging in her arms in the blue blanket.\n“Where did that riolu come from?” queries the celebi. “And where did you find him?”\n“I found him in the garbage,” she explains. “The strumpet lucario put him there and left him.”\n“Of course, she did,” says the monferno. “She goes running around with other pokemon and decides to leave an unwanted child. What a total scarlet.”\n“You surely don’t want to raise him as your own, do you?” the scraggy questions.\n“I don’t want him as my child,” Ezma speaks. “However, I think it would be best to raise him so he won’t end up like his tart of a mother. It would be better to do it that way.”\n“And what’s this riolu’s name?” the buizel adds, crossing his arms. “Are we to call him ‘Random Riolu’?”\n“He will have a name. Something generic and fitting for him.” She notices a tag on the blue blanket for which he’s wrapped in. “Zachary’s Clothworks… Hm… Zach seems like a sufficient name. It will do for the time being.” She sets him down on his feet, and he stares at his new family. “Don’t get used to this. It won’t last forever.”\nZach the Riolu. A small, lonely riolu discovered in a trash bin, left to the elements by a lucario whose had no desires of raising or wanting him. Now, he’s been found, and will make a new edition to the group of pokemon known as Team Rescuers, who consist of Jay the Buizel, Cindy the Celebi, Kenji the Monferno, Miffy the Eevee, Casey the Scraggy, Gar Gar the Gligar, and their guild leader, Ezma the Mew. Or will he? As she stated before, Ezma’s prime goal is to raise him to be a model citizen of Leafy Creek and be able to strive on his own without the need of assistance. Fate has other plans in store for Zach, though. The little riolu will develop his perceptions and ethics the group is based off and when time will pass, he shall be what Team Rescuers cultivated him to be, or so they think. What they don’t expect is that Zach contains a “special” ability of learning that could only be found… in the Twilight Zone!\nNah! I’m only joking with you all. While the Twilight Zone is interesting, it’s not going to be the attention in a pokemon series, although some elements might be added. \nIn short, Zach will learn a lot from Team Rescuers, and once he’s nurtured to what they expect him to be, they won’t have him around. But once that’s over, it won’t be the end. It’ll be the beginning.
