All of them are facing each other as cups of steaming coffee are placed in front of them against the surface of the wooden table, except for Echo, who has a can of oil used for the machines. Melissa hangs around them, continuously wiping the tables around them, pretending to be super busy. She listens as the group talk to each other about their day. Amina and Nerelia discuss their latest date as a little tour of the city while Echo and Firework talk about how wonderful their new friends are. As for Zach, he explains how everything went during the test and what the lion had told him.\nThe rabbit ceases her cleaning and turns to the friends. “Sounds like you guys had a half-boring, half-fun day.” She looks to the fox. “What did Leon say about you? \n“He likes my personality and the way I handled things of the test,” says Zach. “I have to wait until he tells me the results. I have to tell you, I’m a little nervous, Melissa.”\n“Don’t be.” She places her paw on the fox’s shoulder. “I’m sure you did fine.”\n“It’s not a case of that,” he tells her. “It’s more of being selected for the team. What if they don’t choose me and I don’t end up in the task force?”\n“Team choose Zach,” Firework says. “Zach want be superhero, yes?”\n“I did…” Zach looks down into his cup. “I’m just trying to process the different situations that could happen. I don’t know if history will repeat itself…” Nerelia asks him what he means.\nAmina leans closer to the squirrel and begins to whisper. “Zach used to hang around with a “hero” team known as Team Rescuers when he was younger. However, they never taught him anything or wanted him around. Them and his hometown all think he’s a flawed fox.”\n“Flawed fox?” She looks to the fox. “Why?” Zach explains the reason to her. “I don’t see you as a flawed fox… You seem to be a fantastic fox.” \n“Don’t think that way because of Team Rescuers,” adds Echo. “They are nothing more than idiots and discriminants, much like that hyena guy back from Buscity. Furton is way different than Heroto. You deserve to be in the task force.”\n“Hey Melissa!” Tara walks over to the gang. “What are you doing?” Melissa answers her that she’s cleaning the tables. “Looks to me like you’re talking with your friends. It’s okay. Hey, mind if I-” A loud explosion shakes the ground and bursts the glass doors open. People run and scream in panic outside. Those inside Pawbucks stare at the cloud of smoke as they remain frozen by the counter or at their tables. \nA dark figure appears, piercing through the smoke. It wears a long, black robe and a white skeleton mask, covering its entire body. In its grip is a tommy gun, pointed at the civilians. “Citizens of Furton,” the masked-hooligan shouts, male in tone. “Fear the wrath of the Grim Gangster!” \n“Oh my god!” Melissa drops her cleaning tools. \n“Not good,” utters Firework. \nThe Grim Gangster steps in, frightening the patrons and laughing. The kids hide under the table as the other people are frozen with fear as he walks through. “All right, you know the drill! Nobody moves, nobody gets shot! Although, I have a feeling you all won’t survive this day.” He looks around, then sets his eyes on the rabbit girl. “Well, well, well.” Walking over, he approaches the table and grabs Melissa. “Aren’t you a pretty lady? I think I’ll take you for myself.” He squeezes the rabbit’s paw hard enough for her to wince with pain.\nAngered, Zach stands. “Leave her alone!” \nThe masked-hooligan turns to the fox. “Oh, defending your woman, eh?” He knocks Zach back with the butt of his gun, causing the fox to fall back into the booth. “What a dumb little fox. I bet you’re flawed, too.”\n“He’s not flawed!” Amina shouts. \nThe Grim Gangster turns to Emmy. “Oh yeah? Is he clawed?” He chuckles. “Hey, you two native chicks are hot. I think I’ll take you two as well.” The villain is then tackled by the fox away from the girls. Zach pins him to the ground, but the gangster kicks him off. The masked-figure draws his gun at the fox and pulls the trigger, but Zach rolls away to avoid the gunfire. He gets up quickly at the moment his attacker has to reload and lunges forward again, but the villain smacks him again with his gun, disabling him a second time. After putting another clip in the gun, he aims it at the fox. “There’s no point in being a hero, Fox. Say goodbye!” His finger squeezes the trigger, but misses his shots after he’s knocked off with ketchup bottles, utensils, and other condiments. He turns to where the objects were thrown and sees the red fox.\n“You’re not killing my friend!” Amina throws her coffee at him, soaking his robes with the hot liquid. Becoming angered, the villain aims his gun at her. Zach thinks quickly as to pull him by the legs, causing the Grim Gangster to fall face-first on the ground. The fox is quick to crawl on top of him and knock his gun away. The costumed-criminal throws a punch at Zach, knocking him in the face, prompting the fox to strike back. The two toss and roll, throwing punches at each other to try and oust the other. \nThe Grim Gangster kicks the fox away and manages to get back up. He approaches Zach as he’s sitting against a turned-over table. “I’ve had it with you, Flawed Fox!” Hearing that word, Zach clenches his eyes with anger as the hatred fuels him from within. “When I get done with you, I will take those girls for my own little pleasures. Oh, and don’t worry about those little brats with them, too; they’ll be good as my slaves.”\n“No chance, you robed-lunatic!” Zach pounces and pins the villain to the ground again. He throws punch-after-punch at the masked-hooligan until he renders himself tired, knocking him out. Showing through the remains of what used to be the front door, the police arrive on scene, as well as the Furton Task Force, and quickly take over the situation. Zach gets off of the Grim Gangster to allow the authorities to restrain the perp before taking him away. \nMelissa runs up to the fox. “Zach, are you okay? Are you hurt?”\n“I’m fine,” Zach tells her. “I’m used to it.” The others gather around him.\nLeon appears at the scene and stops after approaching the crowd. “All right, everyone. Please clear the way.” He notices the fennec fox and stands in front of her. “Excuse me, ma’am. You mind telling me what happened?”\n“That masked-idiot burst through here and was stirring up trouble!” Tara exclaims. “He was going to hurt some customers, maybe even kill people, but was quickly subdued by the orange fox in the blue bandana.”\n“Orange fox with a blue bandana?” Leon repeats. Tara points to Zach, prompting the lion to walk over. “Zach?” The fox freezes to see the predator in his gear. “You took down this reaper criminal?” \n“I… uh…” Zach pauses, noticing his friends nodding and smiling, encouraging him to talk. “I did… My friends were in great danger when he came over here, and I didn’t want them to get hurt. I did what I had to do and saved them. Please understand, Sir. I was just only protecting the ones I love.”\n“You didn’t protect just the ones you love,” remarks Leon. “You protected the citizens of this fine establishment. If it weren’t for you, there would’ve been casualties.” Buzzing interrupts him. “Excuse me a minute.” He pulls out a cell phone and holds it to his ear as he steps away to take the call. “Hello? Oh, Mayor Eagle!” \nMelissa smiles at Zach. “You really saved the day, just like you always wanted.”\n“Ye!” utters Firework. “Zach hero! Zach hero!” \nEcho looks up to Zach. “Do you think Leon will let you in the task force after this?”\n“I… don’t know,” Zach responds. “I mean, Leon said he does like me.
