What-” Zach tries to sit up, but he’s restricted to his lying position. Feeling around, he notices he’s strapped by his limbs and torso, restrained. “What the hell?! What’s going on?!” Zach looks up to see a figure appear before him. He is shocked when he notices it’s the sheep in the green vest. “Cindy…” \n“Why did you do it?” asks the sheep. “You’ve turned against us!”\n“Cindy… listen…” Zach pauses and sees the wolf in the red armband walk up from the side. “Jay…”\n“You’re a traitor, Flawed Fox!” shouts the wolf. “You’ve done this!” The two approach the fox closer.\n“Jay, I was defending my friends! I had no other choice!” A monkey in a yellow mask steps up opposite of Jay. “Kenji…”\n“You’ve done it, Flawed Fox,” says the monkey. “I always knew you were all trouble!”\nMiffy is the last to appear. “We cannot save you now… You are alone.”\nZach struggles to get out of the bed, but he’s unsuccessful. As the four animals converge on him, he shuts his eyes tightly and yells for help. The fox opens his eyes with a gasp, finding himself sitting in his seat of the moving train.\n“Zach?! Zach!” Melissa utters, kneeling in front of him with her paw holding his. “Are you all right?!”\nZach looks around. “W-what?”\n“Are you okay?” asks Amina. \nZach places his paw on his head. “I-I think so… What happened?”\n“You got knocked out when some baggage fell on your head,” Melissa explains. “Capital Corp managed to hold of Team Rescuers and allow the train to pull out of the station.”\n“I doubt it… Wouldn’t Team Rescuers pursue the train?”\n“Negative,” says Echo. “We’re a great distance from them, and the train is traveling at a top speed of one hundred twelve miles per hour. A loud screech resonates among the car as the train slows and comes to a halt beside a well-lit platform. The intercom assures the passengers that the station is Furton before the doors slide open. \n“This is our stop.” Melissa stands with her friends and they exit the train, following the crowd onto the platform and passing the other animals as they board the car. The gang make their way up the stairs into the station’s lobby and exit through the glass doors, standing within the large, circular city. Wide roads circle around and stretch toward a tall, giant building reaching for the sky and cuts through all of the other structures, which are lower in stories than the tower. It is the tallest structure. The dragon and robot look with widened eyes and ‘o’-formed mouths, feeling awe, as well as Amina. \n“Whoa,” Zach utters. “Look at that…” He follows Melissa and the others as they progress toward the sky-touching structure.\n\n*** \n\nStanding in front of a large glass window is a bald eagle. I remember you telling me over the phone. What makes you think I shall grant you asylum that easily, however?”\nMelissa locks her paws in front of her. “Please, Sir. We ask that you grant us citizenship. We just want to live in peace and be safe.”\n“So does every animal who come here,” the eagle tells her. “Many seek the same that you seek. They all want a piece of the Furton dream, but it takes work to achieve that. Many have worked hard to get to the inner rings and remain as residents. I cannot guarantee you will share the same fate as those prestigious citizens, though.”\nZach steps forward. “Mr. Eagle… What will it take for you to accept us into Furton? We will do anything you ask.”\nMayor Eagle looks at the fox and starts toward him. “I recognize you… You are the flawed fox of Heroto, yes?”\n“Zach,” the fox tells him. “I’m Zach, Sir. I do not wish to be remembered as the flawed fox… It is why I am here with my friends; to start a new life. I will do whatever it takes to get by and help my friends get by.”\n“I like your loyalty and respect, Boy. It’s ashamed Team Rescuers never took advantage of you when you offered your services. Why leave Buscity? You had a chance to live better there.”\n“We’re not here to talk about that, Sir,” Melissa utters. “We’re here to live a better life in Furton. If Buscity was safer, we wouldn’t be here. We had to leave because of the threat of Team Rescuers. Even with Capital Corp, we wouldn’t stand a chance. Please, Mayor Eagle! I want the best for my friends. They are all I have. I’ll do anything for them. I’ll do anything for you, if you want.”\nMayor Eagle rubs his chin, studying the kids as they stare at him, waiting for his response. “I can’t guarantee you will do well in Furton. I can’t also guarantee you protection and safety, especially from Team Rescuers. However, your loyalty and willingness to sacrifice has my interest. However, I can’t just let you in because you want to. You need documents to enter the city.” \n“My love, Melissa, and I have those. Before I left the orphanage, I managed to obtain my personal information, and Melissa has brought hers, too. Unfortunately, we don’t have documents for Echo, Firework, and Amina…”\n“They cannot enter, I’m afraid. Not without the proper paperwork.”\n“Please, Sir,” the fox begs. “We can’t just leave them. They are our family… Surely there must be some way to let them in…”\nThe mayor examines the two kids, their pet, and the red fox. “Interesting family, I should say… A robot, a dragon, a tribal fox, and a pet fluffball. Wait a minute!” He points to Echo. “You’re one of Jack’s robots, aren’t you?” Amina nudges the robot to speak.\nEcho steps forward with his hands by his front, white with a mix of blue in color. “Yes, Sir. Indeed, I am… I joined Zach and Melissa because of a horrid life I lived in the factory… The taller robots would belittle me for my size and capabilities… They deem me as unessential. I may not be to them, but I am to my friends and family here. Please accept them.”\n“Firework second that,” Firework responds. “Other dragons not want Firework… Found by Zach and Melissa. Stick with them because they care. The process is not very speedy, and because you are immigrants, you shall be placed in class ‘C’. You cannot change class until you have been in Furton for a set period of time and have proven yourselves to the city. After you are done in the immigration office, the real estate office on the seventh floor will provide you with a place to live depending on your class type. You are on your own for the rest, I’m afraid.”\n“Thank you, Mr. Eagle,” Melissa tells him. “We appreciate your help.”\n“Just remember what I said, and that I’m giving you a chance.
