Lines stretch from the ticket desk all the way to the seating area by the main entrance. The fox and his friends are next in line as Echo steps forward and presents his barcode to the clerk, who then scans it and distributes the five tickets to the gang. Taking their tickets, the friends walk off the line and proceed to the platform outside. \nAmina stays closely by Melissa, scanning her surroundings. Melissa asks her if she’s okay. “I don’t trust any of these faces.”\n“You don’t need to worry about them,” Melissa assures her. “None of these animals are going to harm us. They’re just going about their business as usual. There’s no reason to-” She feels a tight squeeze around her arm and lets out a loud gasp as she’s tugged violently from the group.\n“Gotcha!” Melissa’s eyelids pull back wide and her mouth opens into a small ‘o’, taking sight and seeing the animal that has her in a grip. “Are you crazy?!”\n“Daddy! H-how did you know we were here?! I thought you were at work!”\n“I have eyes everywhere, Melissa! Now, what the hell were you thinking?! Going to Furton! You are in a lot of trouble, Young Lady!”\n“Jack!” Zach walks up to the two. “Leave her be!”\nJack looks up at the fox. “I knew you’d be in on this. First, you steal my robot, then you turn up with strangers, wreck my manor, and now I see you’ve brainwashed my daughter! I can’t believe I trusted you! I If Bella told me sooner, I would-”\n“Bella?!” repeats Melissa. “That ratty bat! Dad, listen. I know you’re angry we’re leaving Buscity, but we have to because-”\n“Silence, you!” Jack snaps. “I am not happy to be dealing with you right now!” He turns back to the others. “As well as your little “friends”. When Capital Corp arrives, we’re taking you back to the facility and sort out your punishment!”\n“Sir, please,” Zach begs. “Your daughter is an adult. She can make her own decisions and you should let her make her own choices as she does.”\n“Why should I listen to you?! After all you’ve done! Maybe Team Rescuers was right. Maybe you are a flawed fox.” Melissa continues to struggle in his grasp. Echo and Firework hide behind Amina for comfort.\n“Jack, I know why you neglect Melissa, as well as the real reason you created Echo and the other robots.” There is a pause from Jack. He stares at the fox as Zach explains. “When your wife passed, you started to ignore your daughter because she reminded you so much of her. You couldn’t stand to talk with her, or even be with her because of that. Over the years, you were afraid to talk with Melissa because you never gave her care or attention after her mother’s death. That’s why you built Echo… You felt you needed someone to be there for you… You wanted a child… but you had one; one you refused to be with… All because she reminded you of your wife... Melissa’s been teased, ignored, and bullied because of your choices and what you’ve gone through… You may think you were the only one suffering… You’re not… She’s been suffering, too… And you made it worst, by not giving her the love and attention she needed…”\nJack stares at the fox. “How do you know…? Sifting through my personal belongings, have you?!” Echo shows that Zach isn’t lying to him. “Why are you telling me this? Why are you sticking up for my daughter?”\n“I’ve experienced hell for much of my life until I arrived here. Melissa has taught me a lot and has helped regain my spirit. She’s been my light through darkness. She’s a great friend, and I love her so much. She should be praised for being helpful, not ignored for looking like her mother.” \n“You are… correct…” Jack releases Melissa’s arm as she yanks it away. “Truth is… my depression got the best of me… There were times I’ve felt guilty about my decisions and I wanted to talk to her… I was afraid she wouldn’t ever forgive me for what I’ve done…” \n“That’s her choice, Jack. She doesn’t have to forgive you if she wants, but it doesn’t hurt to talk about how you feel. She’s all you have left, isn’t she?” \nJack turns to his daughter and takes her paws in his. “I’m sorry I was never there when you needed me… I’m sorry for not listening to you when you wanted attention… I shouldn’t have ignored you… You don’t have to forgive me… I just want you to understand that I never meant to do those things to you… When your mother died, all I saw in you was her, and it nearly brought me to tears every time…”\nMelissa puts her paws on his shoulders. “Daddy, it’s okay… I miss mommy, too. It was never your fault… She was really sick, but you stood by her side and did the best you could… We can’t undo the past, unfortunately. But we should always live life moving forward. We’re going to Furton to start a new life, like you and Mommy did when you came to Buscity.”\n“Melissa, I just have one thing to say.” She stays silent and listens closely to what he has to say. “Promise me you and your friends will stay out of trouble?”\n“I can’t promise you that, but we’ll try.” Jack lunges forward and entangles her in a hug, to which she accepts.\n“Aw,” Echo comments, green and blue, but with a smile. “Such a touching moment.” Firework and Cotton squeak in agreement. \nJack lets go and faces the rabbit. “You better get on the train. You don’t want to miss it.” Melissa smiles and walks back to her friends, who begin boarding into the long, silver car with seats. The gang sit by the window facing the station platform and look out the window at Jack, who stands and waves at them gracefully. \nThe moment is interrupted when the train car rocks after an explosion. Everyone aboard screams and panics, holding onto seats and handles to maintain their balance. Out the window, four animals appear on the station platform, revealing themselves to be a grey wolf with a red armband, a sheep in a green vest, a yellow mask-wearing monkey, and a tan cat covered with a red top and blue jeans. They surround the jackalope while wielding staffs and in fighting stances. Jack begins to slowly back away in fear.\nMelissa shrieks and calls out to him as she presses her paws on the glass. “Daddy!”\nThe monkey turns and takes notice of the animals in the car. “Hey Jay, you were right!” The other animals turn to where he’s looking. “I can see the flawed fox in there with his new buddies.”\n“Told you he was a traitor, Kenji!” remarks Jay. “That fox is nothing but trouble.”\nThe sheep walks up to the window where the gang is. “Leaving so soon, Flawed Fox? You’re not going anywhere! Not until we’ve got our revenge.”\n“Board the train, Cindy,” orders the cat. “Teach your “old lover” what it means to betray the force.”\n“You know I will, Miffy.” Cindy motions toward the entrance of the train. “While I’m at it, I can teach his friends, too.”\n“No!” Jack rushes to her, causing her to stop and point her staff at him, as do the other three. “Leave them alone!” \n“And what do you plan to do, Bunny Boy?” asks Jay. “Your mercenaries aren’t around.” The wolf is kicked away and knocked to the ground as the bat flies in and stands beside Jack. \n“Think again, Wolfie!” Bella stands beside Jack, fighting stance to defend him. Soon, the other three of Capital Corp appear and stand beside the jackalope. “I’m afraid we won’t let you harm anyone today.”\n“When we’re done with you four, we will make sure to take back the flawed fox and his friends as prisoners, as well as your boss!” exclaims Cindy. \n“We’d like to see you try!” demands Roger. The two groups rush toward each other and clash in the center. Staffs swing and clang when touched and swoosh upon striking, but missing. The crowd aboard gather by the windows, watching as the fight progresses. The train begins to make a sudden lurch after the doors shut close, starting its departure despite not being entirely full. As the platform shifts from the car moving, Jack retreats back into the station, leaving his group of mercenaries to deal with the other four animals. Smacks and hits bring each of the animals down for a few seconds before they get back up again. Bodies hit against the train, causing it to rattle and shake along the tracks as it’s leaving the station, as well as inducing panic among the riders. Top compartments fly open and some suitcases topple over.\n“Whoa!” Firework clings onto his seat while anchoring himself with his tail. Cotton does the same, wrapping his curly tail around the dragon’s arm. Echo holds onto his seat to keep himself from falling as well. Several baggage land on top of the Melissa and Amina’s heads as they shield themselves from any more falling luggage. Firework stretches his wing over the robot to protect him. The rattling force of the car is enough for Zach to stand, attempting to counter with the shaking when a duffle bag falls out and hits him on the head. The fox collapses to the floor and remains there, motionless with eyes closed. As the train leaves the station, the vibrations cease, spelling safety for the people aboard. \n“W-we safe?” asks Firework, shaking and frightened. \n“I-I think so…” Amina removes her arms from her head, as does Melissa. \nFirework takes back his wing from Echo, who is white with color. The robot trembles and jitters like the car had done, resonating clanking metal sounds. “Echo okay?”\n“M-my circuits,” Echo responds. “I-I’ve never been t-this scared before… I-I feel as if m-my programing’s all over…” Cotton jumps onto the robot’s shoulder to comfort him. \nMelissa gasps as she sees the fox lying. “Zach!” She and Amina rush over to him and turn him onto his back. “Zach, are you okay?!” \nAmina places her fingertips on his neck. “I sense beating. He is breathing, but unresponsive.”\n“Zach, wake up!” Melissa jiggles his shoulders in an attempt to wake the fox, but it is not enough. \n“Let’s try and get him in the chair,” suggests Amina. She and Melissa manage to lift the unconscious fox off the floor and into the seat next to them. The rabbit ensures to stay in front of him.\n“What happen with Zach?” Firework asks. “He dead?!” \n“Scanning.” Echo stares at Zach and processes data. “I am picking up a heartbeat and pulse from him. Zach is just unconscious. I am not sure how long, though…”\nMelissa takes the fox’s paw in hers as she’s knelt in front of him. “Oh Zach… Please be okay… Please wake up, Zach…” She remains in front of the unconscious fox. \n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>Buscity Train Terminal bustles with several animals, tall and small, scattering throughout the ticket hall.
