Firework flaps his wings, pushing the debris across the room toward Echo, who then scoops it up with a broom and dustpan before carrying it to the garbage in the kitchen. Cotton picks up some of the damaged pieces with his mouth and follows the robot. “There,” says Melissa, finished with wiping the fresh scratches. “All right, Amina. Go ahead.” \nAmina takes the roll of linen bandages from the tin medical kit and begins applying them to Zach’s injuries, covering them with the wrappings. The red fox finishes applying the dressing. “How does that feel, Zach?”\n“Stings still,” Zach answers.\n“It will for a bit, but it will heal faster.”\nMelissa lets out a big sigh and collapses onto the damaged couch next to Zach. “My god… This morning…” Amina looks around the room as Echo, Firework, and Cotton come to the three animals. Melissa points her eyes at them. “Thank you very much for your help. It means so much…”\n“I live to serve,” Echo tells her. He then changes to blue, worried for the rabbit. “Is everything okay, Melissa? You don’t seem very happy.”\n“No,” Melissa responds. “I’m not… Nothing I do will make my dad love me!” Firework takes a seat next to her and hugs the rabbit, hoping to comfort her. “I can’t take my father anymore! I can’t take being here in Buscity! I am never able to make him happy or talk to me!” She crosses her arms. \n“Hey…” Zach wraps his arm around her and rubs her arm on the other side where Firework is. “It’ll be okay. We didn’t know Jay was going to be here. We didn’t expect him to be…”\n“It’s not just about what happened with Jay, it’s been the way my father acted afterwards. I’m done with him…”\n“Not to go off topic,” utters Amina. “But what was that wolf doing here in the first place?”\n“Probably gathering intelligence to bring to Team Rescuers,” Zach suggests. “I imagine he’s also going to tell them and Heroto I’m a traitor for leaving and coming here. They might mark you guys as enemies for being involved, too.”\n“Great,” Melissa goes. “Another reason to be hated… So now, Team Rescuers are going to want us gone.”\n“I’m sorry,” Zach tells her. “I didn’t mean to bring this to you…” He turns to his other friends. “I didn’t mean to bring this to all of you. Maybe it’s better off if I leave… Go someplace else…”\n“It’s not your fault, Zach,” Echo says. “We’re in this together.” Firework and Cotton agree. “We can deal with them.”\n“You don’t stand a chance, Echo. You’re built for non-combat purposes. We don’t need you or Echo getting injured either.” Cotton bounces up onto the dragon’s lap, joining the conversation. “Cotton as well.”\n“Capital Corp can defend us, though,” Melissa utters. “They may have been late, but they can take on Team Rescuers.”\n“I don’t think it’ll go well,” Zach comments. “I’ve been to every fight Team Rescuers and Capital Corp had, and it usually ends in Capital Corp beaten and weary.”\n“Capital Corp has been doing a bit better,” Amina adds. “Not too long ago, I saw them fend off Team Rescuers enough to force them back to Heroto after a battle, but it’s not enough to keep Team Rescuers from coming here.”\n“I can’t believe I’m saying this,” Melissa starts. “But, perhaps we’re all better off leaving Buscity… I’m not comfortable with the decision, but it’s not safe now that Team Rescuers is inching closer.”\n“Melissa, no,” Zach tells her. “You shouldn’t… It’s my fault we’re in this.”\nMelissa places her paws on his. “Zach, don’t say that, because it isn’t your fault. His torso computer shows a loading bar filling on screen before revealing a map with information. “The closest urban is the city of Furton, approximately seventy-five miles from Buscity.”\n“Furton,” repeats Melissa. “I know that place… It’s a bustling metropolis situated in the mountains, well-protected against everything by the natural barriers. All of the buildings circle around a giant tower, which houses city hall and other government offices for the city, such as the post office. Innermost of the city is where the wealthy live, and the further out you travel, the poorer the class. The far outermost rings of the city are where the broke and poorest live, as well as dirty industry. Middle class separates the rich and poor, as well as shops and low-end offices. Automatically transferring to the payment section, he shows the prices of the train ticket for everyone in the room.\n“Oh, Good,” Melissa adds. “I should have enough money to pay for them, too.”\n“Getting into Furton might be easy,” Amina states. “But, what about a place to live?”\n“We’ll find a house or apartment,” Zach assures her. “But if we can’t, we’ll need to stay in a hotel room until we get sorted for a home. Here we go!” She presses the button on Echo’s screen, which shows a barcode. “We’ve got our train tickets. We should get moving now. The train leaves for Furton in an hour and a half.” Melissa climbs up the stairs. “I’m going to pack some things.”\n“Do you need any help?” the orange fox asks. “Need me to gather some things?”\n“Nah,” Melissa answers. “I’m good. I don’t own much in terms of clothing or possessions.” The rabbit disappears for a few minutes, gathering the only clothes she has and packs them in a pink duffle bag. Then, she collects the hygiene materials from her bathroom and stuffs them in before regrouping with the others. “Okay, everyone. We all ready?”\n“Lead the way, Good Rabbit,” Amina tells her. Melissa heads out the doors with the others after shutting the lights. Once outside, she locks the doors and places the key under the mat, as she always does in her routine.
