He’s motionless for a few seconds, noticing the terrible knocking from within is head has ceased. His stomach is still as well, not jumbling around from within. The grey alien eases to a sitting position and takes a moment to really sense himself. Zach looks around and sees the green alien sitting on the floor with cards in her paws, across from the orange fox-like alien as her grasp has cards too. Lilo and Stitch surround them, watching.\n“Well, look who’s awake,” Splatter says. She puts her cards down and walks toward him. “How do you feel?”\nZach looks down at his paws gripping the blanket end. “I… I don’t feel nauseous anymore… and I’m not hot.”\nDaji walks over and places her paw against his forehead, inspecting his temperature. “Well, you certainly don’t have a fever anymore.” Her paw moves to pat his shoulder. “Good to see you’re finally feeling better.”\nLilo stands behind the two experiments with Stitch beside her. “Zach, I never got to say sorry.”\nZach looks at her. “Sorry?”\n“You know…” She rubs her arm. “For blasting you…”\n“Stitch sorry, too,” utters Stitch. “Lilo and Stitch didn’t realize cousin was person.”\n“Lilo and Stitch,” Zach repeats. “I remember Oreo telling me about you. Those are your names?”\n“Oh, we never introduced ourselves.” Lilo nods. “Yes, I’m Lilo. Lilo Pelekai.” \n“Meega Stitch,” Stitch tells him. \nNani comes in, followed by Oreo. She approaches Zach. “How are you feeling now?” Zach tells her he’s doing better and thanks her for helping him. “You’re quite welcome. You know, you’re very friendly. I like that.”\nLilo steps beside her. “This is my older sister, Nani.” Pleakley and Jumba enter from the other way, talking. Lilo extends her arm out to them. “And this is Jumba and Pleakley.” They stop and turn to her. Together, we are ohana.”\nZach looks at her for a brief second. “Ohana... Family, right?”\n“Ohana means family,” Stitch says, nodding. “Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.” \n“Family…” Zach grips the firmly as the thought of the word sinks into his mind. \n“And what’s your story?” asks Pleakley. “You are a human, correct?”\nZach looks to him. “I… I was… My name is Zach. I woke up like this and I do not know how or why I am an alien experiment.”\n“Where does Zach originate, if I may ask?” Jumba butts in, his computer at the ready with Zach’s files on screen.\n“New York… I lived in New York City.”\n“All the way over there?!” Oreo utters. “You’re quite a long way from home.”\n“I came to Hawaii,” Zach continues. “A friend of mine and his family invited me to spend my 20th birthday in Honolulu.” \n“Oh?” Pleakley adds. “Do you remember what happened?”\n“I can’t remember how long ago it was, but I can remember what happened the day before I woke up as an experiment: Tom and I were out and about, just the two of us. We went to the Pearl Harbor national memorial to see the USS Arizona, and then climbed aboard the USS Missouri. After that, we had lunch and went to the beach. Once the day was ending, I decided to head back to the hotel and call it a day. Tom decided to go with his family on a rented sloop around the beach. I was so tired, I fell in bed and dozed off. That’s when I woke up as an alien…”\n“Is your friend still in Honolulu?” asks Lilo. “Maybe we can contact him.”\n“I don’t know,” Zach says. “His number is in my phone and I don’t have it with me. I don’t even think he and his family are in Honolulu anymore.”\n“What about your parents?” Nani queries. “Any way to contact them?”\n“I don’t have parents… My mother is dead and I have no idea who my father is. I’m on my own from what it looks like.”\n“Hey listen.” Splatter wraps her arm around him. “You’re not on your own. You have me, Oreo, Daji, and the others here.”\n“I’m sure your friend is worried about you,” Oreo adds. “And it may be possible he and his family are out looking for you.”\n“I have to find him.” Zach pushes away the blanket and swings his legs to the side. “I must know where he is…”\n“Relax, Zach,” Daji says, putting her paws on his shoulders. “We’ll find your friend. Just slow it down and take it easy.”\n“Daji’s right,” Oreo says. “Besides, I made some delicious meal for all of us. Once we’re done eating, we will leave. That reminds me.” She heads to the kitchen.\n\n*** \n\nThe four experiments thank Nani and the others as they descend the steps and walk along the dirt path, leaving the Pelekai house. Oreo goes on about how her cooking has satisfied the entire household along the way. “I can’t believe everyone loved it! I mean it was simple with all of the ingredients and such, but to follow everything step-by-step wasn’t. I am very happy that everyone loved my dish, especially Lilo and Stitch!” She smiles. “I have to cook for them sometime! And maybe when-” \nSplatter notices Zach holding his head and halts. “Hey… You all right there?” Oreo continues onward. Oreo and Daji stop and turn to him.\nZach looks up at her. “Hm? Oh… It’s just I sense something.”\n“Please don’t tell me you’ve got a headache again,” Daji says. “You just got over being sick.”\n“No… This isn’t a headache. I can… sense something… Something very close.”\n“What is it?” Splatter asks. “What do you sense?” Zach passes her and heads down to the shore. “Zach, where are you going?” Zach doesn’t listen as he wanders off. The three experiments look at each other for one second before pursuing the grey alien. They finally trace him down to the beach by the shack where he stands, frozen in shock. Looking out, the four see a sloop beached on top of the sand. The white-painted body of the boat is much dirtier than the pure vessels that sail the sea. \n“This is where you lead us?” Daji tells Zach. “It’s just a wrecked ship.”\nZach shakes his head, keeping his eyes fixed on the beached sloop. “No… It’s the sloop Tom and his family rented… W-what’s it doing here?!” Zach runs over to the vessel to better examine it. \n“Oi! What are ya doing, Zach?!” Oreo rushes to him with the other experiments. \nZach climbs aboard from the back and looks around. “Tom?! Tom, are you here?” He enters the cabin area and searches around. “Tom…? Tom, It’s Zach! Where are you?! Tom!” Frantic in his search, he covers every sector of the cabin. Zach pauses when he notices a collection of items, including an iPhone, on the floor by the table. He goes to pick it up. Presses his finger on the screen, the phone lights up and shows a picture of a British crown on the lock screen. “Tom…” He drops the phone while falling to his knees and covering his eyes. \n“Zach, where’d you go?!” Splatter enters in and sees the grey alien bursting in tears. She walks up to him. “Zach, we’re outside waiting for you. What’s going on?” She then sees the phone on the floor. “Oh man…” The green experiment puts her paw on Zach’s shoulder. “Come on, Zach… Let’s go.” Zach lifts his head and uncovers his face, revealing his eyes, which glow bright blue among the cabin. Splatter flinches upon seeing the experiment’s eyes glow. “Oh no… That’s not good…”\n“Splatter!” Daji calls from outside. “What’s taking so long?!” The grey experiment stands. Wind picks up from around him, along with the objects within as force circles him. \n“Zach, snap out of it!” Splatter is pushed away into the wall by the door of the sloop. The entire vessel’s roof blasts off with the immense force from the grey experiment. Daji and Oreo appear near Splatter, yet stay clear of Zach. \n“What happened?!” Daji exclaims. “What is he doing?!”\n“He discovered his friend got lost at sea!” Splatter tells her.\nOreo stares as Zach remains still with the orbit of wind around him. “It must be his telekinesis powers! He must’ve triggered them!” She turns to her girlfriend and the monkey experiment. “I’m going to see if I can calm him down!”\n“Are you crazy!?” utters Daji. “It’s too dangerous! He’s going to tear this ship apart!”\n“Not if we don’t do something about it!” Oreo struggles to make her way closer to the grey experiment, fighting with the force he produces. As she’s just three feet from him, she stops and covers behind the flipped table. “Zach, listen! I know you’re upset! I understand it can be very hard to lose the ones you care about! I would be absolutely devastated if I lost Daji! Your friend may be gone, but you’re not alone! Daji, Splatter, and I are your friends now! We’re here for you!” The immense wind around the grey experiment dissipates as all the objects picked up from the force drop to the floor. Zach remains frozen in his stance. His eyes still glowing in his form. Oreo gets to his side. “You’ll be all right, Zach.”\nDaji walks up to his other side. “Oreo and I will make sure nothing bad happens to you.” Splatter joins them, standing behind the grey experiment as Oreo grasps her paw in Zach’s. \nThe grey experiment’s glow burns out, restoring his eyes to normal. He stumbles, but is caught by the girls. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to-”\n“Don’t be,” Oreo tells him. “It’s not your fault.”\n“Yes, it is…” Tears start to appear in his eyes again. “I’m a bad friend… I should’ve stayed with him… I could’ve saved him…”\n“There’s nothing you can do about that now. Come… Let’s go back home…” She helps Zach up and proceeds to leave the wrecked ship with him. \nDaji looks to Splatter. “You all right?”\n“That was insane,” Splatter utters. “I didn’t know he could do that…”\n“Neither did I. Let’s get out of here, though. I don’t feel like answering to anyone who might’ve witnessed this.” Daji follows behind Oreo and Zach as they jump off the boat. Splatter tags along, too. The four experiments tread along the beach, moving away from the site. \n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>Zach opens his eyes slowly.
