Chaos groans softly, his head still pounding as he shakily picks himself up off the ground. Holding a hand to his head, giving it a small shake he attempts to steady himself. What had he been up to again? He could remember picking up a new game, a new digimon game that was coming out.. Though he couldn’t remember too much after putting the game in. At least not visually. He remembered one, single feeling a powerful heat overtaking his body. Feeling like he was on the verge of burning up before suddenly everything went dark. A soft groan leaves his mouth as he once again shakes his head. Doing his best to ignore the headache pounding in his head. Once he’s up and about he starts to take a small look around, he has woken up on a stone ground, looking down at it curiously. Chaos kneels down slightly, reaching a hand out and lightly presses it against the ground. It was easy to notice just how hot it was, the ground itself seeming to glow with a fiery heat. Pulling a hand back with a quick shake he starts to look around a bit more. Slipping his hand into his pocket as he starts to walk. Unsure of where he was going, or even where he was, Chaos did his best to keep calm, and relaxed. Looking to the walls, and pillars that surrounded him it seemed almost like he had woken up in a strange temple. One filled with symbols of burning flames, and an immense heat. He wasn’t sure why but it almost felt like he knew where he was. “Temple of the Fire Spirit” Enters his mind as he looks around. Soon turning his gaze down towards the ground once more he blinks, for a moment he swore he could see something at the edges of his vision. Something that almost looked like a gaming HUD. As he looks back up his eyes follow a glowing line of light across the ground, heading deeper into the temple. It was about then that something started to click in his mind. Eyes widening slightly as he started to realize just where he was and what was going on. “W-wait am I… In the game?” He wonders aloud, jaw dropping as he stares at the line. Watching it slowly starting to fade bit by bit. No there was no way that was the case right, it couldn’t be… As he thinks this he starts to move forwards without even thinking. Running down the halls of the temple. His heart starts to race again as he picks up speed. If he really was in the game, then that would mean that right up ahead should be a digimon right? Maybe it was a weird new VR game, and he had just lost consciousness after putting the gear on.. Even if he didn’t remember getting any gear? But maybe that was just missing from his memories. Giving another shake of his head he keeps his gaze up following the line, each passing moment he takes a look around. Taking notice of a few different murals on the wall. He noticed a few different paintings, ten digimon fighting together. Though one in particular seemed to stand out to Chaos. A small fire wielding digimon, he didn’t know a lot about the game while getting it. He was just excited to see more digimon content. Though seeing that familiar looking digimon on the murals he can’t help but smile a good bit wider. Of course he would recognize that digimon, it was his favorite of course, Flamon! Eventually as he finally leads up towards the endpoint of the line he huffs and puffs softly. Staring up at the large altar towards the center of the room. Once again it was a beautiful sight. The swirling pillars of fire surrounding the monument. Though as Chaos grows even closer he clenches his fist and moves closer. Wincing slightly from the burning fire he turns his head away ever so slightly. Though as he grows close enough to the fire it starts to part. Slowly moving aside to reveal a stairway. Leading up towards the top of the Altar. Chaos holds a hand up, shielding his face slightly as he winces. Slowly starting to make his way up the stairs his breathing grows a bit heavier. Huffing, and groaning softly as he turns his head away. “C-come on… I have to reach the top of this.. I know this is for me..” He mutters quietly to himself, pushing forwards through the heat, fanning himself with one hand as the heat starts to overtake him. Sweat soaking through his clothes, even singing the edges of his clothes. With each step the heat only seemed to grow stronger, but he kept pushing. Eventually though the flames spread and disperse. Allowing Chaos to step onto the top of the Altar. The hot air finally gave way to a nice wave of fresh air washing over his sweat soaked body. Still fanning himself, giving a shake of his head Chaos moves towards the center of the altar. In the center is a strange looking object, a pair of red hand wraps. Ones that appeared to be flaming around the edges as well. “H-haa… Are these.. Mine?” He wonders aloud, pulling up the guide line once more, the red wraps right at the edge of the line. He pauses just staring at the wraps for just a few more moments. He couldn’t believe that his chosen digimon in the game was Flamon, did it somehow know? Or was it just a coincidence? He didn’t care either way, reaching out towards the wraps he grabbed them. As soon as his hand meets those wraps he feels another surge of fire, and heat washing over him. Making the husky grit his teeth as without warning all of his clothes are burned away. He barely even notices as he raises an arm to his head all of the flames rushing into the wraps, casting the temple into darkness aside from the now glowing hand wraps. Looking down towards the wraps he could still feel his heart pounding. But there was something else there too. A flame.. A strong burning fire that picks up and flares around his heart. Taking the wraps in either hand he lifts one up taking one of the fire wraps and starts to bind it around one hand, lifting it up before clenching a fist tightly. It was a strange feeling to say the least, the power overflowing through his entire body. He could feel the warmth steadily building up through his body. A soft groan leaves his body as he looks over his hand. Giving a smirk, and firm nod he wraps the other binding around his hand. Throwing a few punches at the air with a grin. Though even with the bindings it made him wonder, he did still need a digivice after all. He was familiar with how the Spirit Digimon worked, even though he had an artifact he would still need a digivice to digivolve into a proper form. Shrugging and going to take the bindings off for now he quickly finds that… They’re stuck? He gives them a few more soft tugs, trying to pull them off he quickly finds the binds are stuck, held tightly to his hands. He gives it a few more tugs before giving a shake of his head. “Hmm.. Might be bound to me now then..” He mutters quietly, it made sense of course it was. A special item like that was probably meant for him, and him alone. For now all he could really do was push forwards though. With the dim lighting in the room coming from a few openings barely visible above Chaos nods softly to himself and takes a step down. Upon stepping back down to the main floor Chaos starts to explore a bit more of the temple. He didn’t see any more waypoints on his hud. It seemed like he was just looking to start wandering around. Exploring until he finds a new quest. As he walked through the halls he found himself looking down towards his hands every now and again. Giving it a few squeezes with a small hum. He could feel a slight burning sensation around his hands. Though it didn’t hurt, if anything it felt kinda nice and pleasurable. Like a nice, warm buzz around his knuckles and palms. He couldn’t help but wonder however just where he was going, and what the plan for this game was. With no idea of where to go, or how to advance the plot he did feel a bit lost. Though at the same time, it was pretty in line with most digimon content, so maybe that was how it was meant to be! Chuckling a bit excitingly to himself, Chaos picks up a bit of pace as he notices a sliding stone wall slowly opening up, revealing a large open balcony, alongside a set of stairs. Sunlight pours down over him. Causing him to raise a hand to cover his face slightly, wincing at the bright light as he looks around. It was pretty dazing to step out into such a bright, and sudden light. He quickly shakes his head, letting his eyes adjust as he starts to take a look around. It appeared he was in the middle of a forest, the trees reflecting the light off of their metal bases. The foliage flutters heavily in the wind. He crosses his arms, taking in a long breath The fresh air was a nice change to the stuffy hot air in the temple. Though at the same time he couldn’t help but miss the smell just a tad already. As he starts to make his way down the temple steps the husky feels excitement and energy slowly starting to build in his body, skipping down the steps with small chuckles and happy giggles. Looking up towards the sky he could notice a few strange things. A storm brewing heavily towards the north, and an aurora to the east were two that stood out to him. Almost like the elements weren’t quite working the way they were meant to. He was so focused on the scene in front of him that he didn’t even notice the fire slowly starting to flicker up his arms and back. Slowly starting to merge with the fur on his head. Red, fiery fuzz slowly started to form around his head. Growing bit, by bit into a massive red mane flowing in the air behind him. A wide grin slowly spreads across his face as he lands on the ground below. The ground sizzling slightly under his feet, though once again he fails to notice all while looking around. “Hmm.. Okay, still no digivice.. So I’ll have to be careful about trying not to run into wild digimon.” He mutters quietly to himself, thinking aloud as he looks down towards his hands. Even with the Flamon relics he didn’t think he’d be able to fight anything. Pushing on ahead he keeps an eye out. Looking around and keeping low as he explores the woods. Though now he started to notice that with each step he took he left large burns through the grass below lifting a paw up he tilted his head a bit with a slight hum. It was strange, but he wrote it off as the wraps giving him a resistance to fire at least somewhat. Allowing him to channel a small amount of AncientGreymon’s power without having to draw upon digivolution. All while walking his main attention was on the area around him. Hearing some growls and other digimon noises all around him. Shivering softly before giving a small shake of his head He had to focus, he couldn’t just let this worry take him over. After all it was just a game, but he also didn’t want to lose any progress… He sighs softly while pushing forwards the fur on his feet slowly starting to burn away as he walks. Feet swelling and changing, his claws growing longer as they take on a fiery red hue, much like his own mane. While his skin grows a bit rougher, hardened by the flames now flowing through his body. While exploring the woods Chaos starts to think to himself, there was a bit of a problem now. He was starting to realize that he had no idea how to turn off the game, or how to really do anything in it. Getting a bit curious he reaches up, pressing his hands against either side of his head, tugging slightly as if trying to take off any kind of VR gear he might have had on. Though, much to his surprise he finds himself unable to pull off anything. A slight grunt of surprise leaves his mouth as he pauses for just a moment, wincing from the strange feeling as he pulls his hands back. But it was already too late as the fiery data from the bindings flowed into his ears and spread throughout his head. He thinks to look at the HUD in the corners of his vision, a slight hum leaving his mouth while looking through the options. There were the usual options, but he could see certain options seemed to be glitching. Options he couldn’t select, some of them even having the same glitchy texture surrounding ones that he could select. Frowning slightly, unsure of just what to do here he decides to push on for now. Figuring maybe he had to be in a safe haven until he could actually select the option to save and quit. He was already too far from the temple to turn around. He hoped it would be faster to just push forwards until he could find some place to settle down for this session. Though with each step he could feel that strange feeling of warmth steadily building up. He knew his body would just have to get used to the fires of the elemental digimon. But it was hard to ignore at the moment. With just how warm he was getting. Fanning himself softly with a groan. He wasn’t sure how long he had been walking for. Standing off to the side of the trail he ducks off to the side, sitting down in the foliage to try and hide himself he pants and groans softly. Tongue rolling out as he could feel a slight throbbing at the back of his head. Reaching a hand up to rub at his temples softly, he didn’t notice a pair of small, flat horns swelling out of the front of his head. The steadily growing heat was making him delirious. It was getting harder to think clearly. His mind spinning with so many different thoughts. None of it really made any sense to him. He had something important to do, of course he did in this game, that would kinda be the point. But no, there was something else about it. Something he felt like he was forgetting.. Or perhaps it was just something he couldn’t fully grasp yet… Taking a deep breath to try and calm himself he bows his head down, resting it on his knees as he closes his eyes for just a moment. He didn’t even realize he was starting to drift off until he fell back, hitting his head against the tree behind him. Grunting in pain he quickly hops back up rubbing the back of his head as he huffs in frustration. Feeling the fires welling up inside of him Chaos spins on his heels, and without thinking reels back. Clenching his hand into a fist, fire surrounds it burning away his fur once more though he doesn't seem to notice as he throws a punch forwards! His fist crashes into the tree, fire and force eating away at the base of the metal tree. Blasting a hole straight through it! Though despite it the thing somehow seemed to hold together with the edges of what remained. A soft grunt leaving his mouth as he pulls his hand back, eyes widening as his mind seems to click. Realization, and amazement flickering across his face as he stares at what he had done to the tree. It wasn’t really all that much looking at it, probably less than a rookie level could pull off, but still it was exciting to see! Though trying to gather energy again he clenches a fist.. But nothing happens, tilting his head with a small frown he closes his eyes, trying again to focus but once again nothing seems to happen. He looks towards his other fist, staring at the missing fur on it for a few long moments. He could feel like there was something off about it, like there was something missing on his hand. But even as he looks between his two hands he finds himself unable to place his finger on it. Looking up towards the HUD once more he could see it was still glitched out. In fact if anything it looked like it was a bit more glitchy than before. Picking himself back up he didn’t quite understand it. But once he was at a place he could log out, Chaos figured it would be good to look into it, see if anyone else were having these issues. After a few more moments of trying to summon the fire up once more he shrugs, getting back up as he continues forwards. Making his way back down the path. By now each step was accompanied by a flare of flames shooting up around his ankles. Burning away more of that fur, and giving way to more of that same warm, and rough skin that was slowly spreading across his body. He could feel that energy starting to build up in him as his body got hotter. He had to get it all out somehow.. Hopping from one foot to another he smirks slightly before bursting into a full blow sprint. Running down the path and kicking up a whirlwind of fire behind him. The flames seemed to be harmless, not doing any damage to the surrounding area. As he continues to run he barely even notices the changes spreading, clothes burning away or in the case of his pants shifting slightly to bright red shorts with black leather straps, while the red bindings start to grow larger. Forming over parts of his body as he finds himself transforming bit by bit. As the fur over his upper body starts to burn away, the tan skin underneath is etched with white markings. Similar markings to what he saw in some of the murals on the wall. Eventually he slows to a stop. Skidding across the ground as he looks up towards a gateway above. Chaos tilts his head slightly, it appears to be a small town in the woods. Like the temple it seemed to have a fire theme to it. Seeing that with a wide grin he feels a bit of pride in his chest, a slight chuckle leaving his mouth as he rests his hands on his hips. Nails on his hands quickly shrink down into his body. Hands swelling with muscles as he grows stronger, his arms pulsing softly with strength as he starts to make his way inside. Though while walking he starts to think a bit. He felt like he was forgetting something, looking around a bit he checked the corner of his vision for just a moment, humming slightly as he scratched at the back of his head. Confusion flickering across his mind for just a moment before shrugging. He was sure he was forgetting something important and he probably would have written it down. Looking down towards the gloves on his hands he huffs softly, giving a firm nod as he tugs on them. Tightening the fingerless gloves and the arm guards to make sure he was ready for a fight. He was still feeling just a bit out of it though, not in a fully fit state quite yet. Giving a small shake of his head Flamon continues on into the village. As he steps inside he notices a few digimon, all fire types of various attributes stare at him, looking on with some shock and surprise. Flamon chuckles slightly, smiling and waving to them as he blushes softly. The rest of the old shirt he was wearing started to burn away, giving way to only the arm guards, pants and a set of shoulder guards on either arm. After walking for just a bit longer he eventually is stopped by an Agumon Hakase who starts to look him over curiously. “Ohh wow! I can’t believe it, you’re the spirit of fire aren’t you?! Flamon?” He questions, visibly excited as he takes the almost fully transformed digimon’s hand in his claws, giving it an excited shake. Flamon tilts his head a bit, was that his name? That did sound right.. It was the only name he could really remember too, so that had to be it. He was Flamon, the spirit of fire. Giving a nod the Agumon continues. “We’ve been protecting your temple for so long, it’s an honor to finally meet you, I’m sure you saw the skies, but things have gotten pretty bad with the elements getting out of control, but with your awakening that surely means that the others would be waking soon!” For just a moment Flamon sees something flickering out of the corner of his eye. A strange string of white text and blocks appeared in the corner of his vision before glitching out and vanishing. Blinking a few times his muzzle pulls back in on his face, his eyes turning a bright emerald green, as the rest of the fur on his face vanishing, Flamon hums slightly and gives a nod. His still wolf-like tail flicked around behind him. “That’s good to hear~ I have to say though.. I feel a bit outta it I think..” He mutters aloud, shrugging softly before looking back to the Agumon. “Well, anyways, Glad to hear the others are waking up! I know together we’ll be able to beat back whatever could be causing this.” He smirks, pointing a thumb to his bare chest. “After all, with me, the great Flamon leading the Warrior Ten, we'll get it done in no time!” He explains with a pleased chuckle. Punching a fist into his palm as he grins a bit wider. The Agumon nodded along as he took Flamon’s hand and dragged him towards another part of the village. Looking around Flamon could only feel his pride surging like flames. Remembering just who he was and what he was here to do. His tail flicks around behind him as sparks of flames surround the remaining fur. Lighting up before bursting into bright flames. Something that Flamon doesn’t even notice. His fiery tail flicks around slightly a few times as he's brought to a large building. Upon opening the double doors Agumon Hakase leads him in, Flamon is soon met with rows upon rows of different survival items. Backpacks, all kinds of food, and all the gear he could imagine. Laying opposite is the symbol of fire, showing that all of this was for him. He wasn’t sure how long it had been since he was last called to save this world, his memories of everything still hazy, only vaguely remembering anything past waking up in the temple. But no matter what he was still excited, even if he had to get all of his power back, starting from the same rookie level as he always did. But he wasn’t too worried, he would save the world like he always did with the help of his friends. They were the Warrior Ten forever and always, and nothing would change that~
