Myr makes his way into his home, flipping through his mail with a frown. It was more than apparent that many of the job offers he had put out were not coming back strong. It hadn’t been too long since he moved out to this new town but he had been coasting on small one time odd jobs that he’d be able to get his paws on whenever he could, but it was getting harder to keep himself in the loop it was a pretty small town, and with that he felt like he just couldn’t find any permanent job opening, and those that he could find were either so low pay that it wasn’t worth it. Or he would get rejected the day after. It was during this day however that he happened to find one letter among the many rejections that stood out to him. Tossing the rest off to the side, Myr tilts his head slightly. “What in the? Where did this come from?” The return address was from somewhere within the town, but it wasn't any address that he had applied to work at. Maybe it was something unrelated to his job search, there was only one way to find out. Upon opening up the letter there’s a strong, foul stink that hangs heavy in the air. Coughing and choking on the scent he quickly raises a hand to his face. Swiping at the air a few times to try and clear the strong stink away. Shuttering softly he pulls the letter out, and tosses the foul smelling envelope off to the side. The letter itself certainly didn’t fare any better. But it wasn’t as bad as the envelope. He couldn’t quite place what the smell itself was. The only word that came to mind was trash, though as he read the header of the letter he quickly realized why. It was a job acceptance letter from the local dump. He had managed to land an interview at the place, though he didn’t even remember sending it in the first place. But that being said, it was a job offer. He really needed a job no matter what. Whatever it was, he couldn’t just take odd jobs forever. With a small huff and shake of his head he takes out his phone, looking at his calendar and making a note of going to the dump tomorrow to check up on that offer. While cleaning up the rest of the mail he does find the envelope again, though this time. He couldn’t help but notice the inside of the envelope this time, and more specifically the thick, green slime that coated the inside of the thing. Wincing softly, Myr raises a hand to his mouth, nose twitching. “E-eugh, what the? What is this stuff?” He questions, coughing and gagging on the scent, giving a small shake of his head, holding it by the edge of the paper, covering his muzzle with his free hand as he makes his way over to the trash can, quickly tossing it out. “Probably where it belongs anyways~” He muses himself with a small chuckle, shaking his head before making his way back upstairs. It had been a long day of job searching, and now that he finally had the possibility of this permanent job, it wasn’t exactly the best job offer but it was certainly better than nothing. Laying down he finds that the stink still clings to his body. It’s annoying but it wasn’t anything too bad he does his best to ignore it as he slowly drifts off to sleep. As the next day comes along Myr gets up early, stretching out as he rolls out of bed. Smacking his lips a few times he groans out. Scratching the back of his head as he slowly awakens he becomes aware of the taste in his mouth. A sour, rotten taste that once again makes him wince slightly. It had been awhile since he had morning breath this bad. But it probably wasn’t that bad, just that feeling of just waking up with some kind of bad breath. Once he was nice and cleaned up however Myr started to get ready, they didn’t give him any specific time to meet up at the dump, so he assumed it meant stop by whenever. Even if it was a trashfield he figured it would be good to make himself at least acceptable. He didn’t have any fancy suits or anything. But he had some dressware he only kept for occasions like this. It probably didn’t really matter. But hey it would certainly leave a mark. The interviewers would be talking all day about that once they saw him. A small chuckle leaves his mouth at the thought, adjusting his shirt before starting to make his way out. The drive there takes some time. The dump being on the very edge of town. The area went from the small but modern town, to absolutely nothing. Large, barren fields that stretch out all over. Before finally he seems giant, steaming piles of trash coming into view over the horizon. Myr’ nose scrunches up at the mere sight of it. His tail slipping between his legs as he stares. He couldn’t believe how massive of a trash pile this place had for such a small town. He couldn’t help but wonder if they ever cleaned it out. Pulling up to the front gates, Myr parks his car and climbs out. Dusting his hands off as the smell of garage assaults his senses. But oddly enough he found himself, for the most part unaffected by the smell. The scent of the envelope was somehow even worse than the literal dump itself. As he’s walking up the gates his eyes eventually catch on a sign that lays opposite of where he parked. Walking over he floats up to try and get a better look at it. “Trespassing notice? The site has been abandoned, trespassers will be prosecuted..” He tilts his head, turning his attention up towards the gates. “Is this thing is abandoned?” He questions aloud, crossing his arms with a frown. Lightly tapping a paw against the ground as he lands once more. Furrowing his brow with a soft huff and shake of his head. “I couldn’t have come this way for nothing right?” As he’s asking himself this his gaze is brought up towards the office inside of the dump. It looked like it was still in use. At least the light in the office was still on, raising a brow as he looked towards the sign again. Crossing his arms with a small, worried hum. “Should I go in there?... I mean it doesn’t look like it’s abandoned.. And I really need this job.” He murmurs quietly to himself, crossing his arms with a small huff. It was worth a shot to say the least. If he ran into any issues he still had the letter on him. Surely any one who might think he’s trespassing would have to agree after seeing it.. At least that’s what he told himself. Taking a long deep breath he shakes his head and floats over the gate. Making his way deeper into the dump. All while walking he swore he could hear various things all around him, shuffling around in the piles of garbage. It made him squirm slightly, but it wasn’t anything too unheard of, after all wild pokemon usually can be found at local dumps. Digging around for trash or good. Myr shivers at the thought of having to deal with things like that. But he quickly shakes them out, eventually he reaches the steps of the office, looking up to the building as he clenches the letter a bit tighter. “Why are you feeling so nervous?” He asks himself, taking another deep breath before shaking his head. “It’s a job interview for a dump job. You’ve got this~” Myr tells himself this as he takes the steps up towards the top of the building. Knocking on the door he smiles, and steps back. Dusting the dirt and grime that was already starting to collect on his outfit off best he could. Standing there, staring at the door for a few seconds as he waits for the door to open. After a minute or two he gives another knock. Standing there again while smiling, yet no matter what it didn’t seem like anyone was coming.. Myr eventually sighs and walks a bit closer. Sure he could have and probably should have fled at this point there was certainly something going on here. But no matter how much that thought crossed his mind he found himself only moving closer to the door. The other part of his mind was telling him he couldn’t just turn away from this. This was all important, he had to get this job, no matter what he needed this. So reaching down to grab the doorknob he jiggles it around a bit. Mostly just trying to get the attention of the person on the other side. Though even with just one small shake the door slowly swings open. Myr stands on the outside for a few moments, taking a look around, making sure no one was watching him. At first thinking this might be some kind of weird test. But not seeing anything else around he clears his throat and calls out. “Uh, I’m going to be coming in now!” He calls out before going to step inside. From a glance he could see how dirty the inside of the room was, a few small coughs leaving his mouth as he quickly glanced away. That familiar stink hitting him full force. But also upon stepping inside he realized how dirty the floor was. Gagging slightly he jumps back, his paw landing in something hot, and slimy. He winces in disgust. Shuttering while staring down at the thing. “E-eugh what soaked up into this thing? I-is it fresh?” He wonders quietly to himself, before shaking his head. He continues to make his way inside. This time, floating up into the air to make sure he didn’t step into whatever was on the ground. While he floated along the ground he looked down at the floor. Seeing just how saturated the ground was in whatever this weird gunk was. The smell of old trash filled the entire room. The kind of smell that came from garbage being soaked in water for days on end. It made his head spin as he huffed up that stench. Feeling as if there was something he should be worried about. But the deeper he went the smaller this feeling got, his mind was solely focused on getting this job, at this point he didn’t even care what it was. He had to admit there was something almost alluring about the dump. Something that just drew him in the deeper he went. Eventually reaching the end Myr finds himself standing outside another door, despite floating a good bit off the ground as he approaches he hears the sound of someone clearing their throat from behind the door. “Ah, yes come in!” It calls back out. Making Myr freeze for a moment. But he wrote it off as them probably having cameras around the building. Gulping the mew couldn’t help but worry just a bit if that might affect how they see him. But cleaning himself up once more. Putting on that smile, and just trying to act nice and ready he leans against the door and pushes it open. Though before the doors even open all the way he grunts softly. The stench of garbage was somehow at its strongest here. It makes him shutter, and groan. THough oddly enough despite the smell being stronger, it almost felt like it didn’t bother him as much, shivering slightly, but for the most part he seemed to still just shrug it off. Not all too bothered by it as the door opens fully. Though upon opening up the door he didn’t.. Find anything inside, looking around and floating a bit further in he leans over the desk, peering into the chair behind it, and only seeing a pile of garbage sitting in it. He glances around once again. Trying to put together where that voice could have come from. Though as his eyes glance over to the pile of trash, he instead sees a small pair of eyes staring back at him. With a short yelp he stumbles back a few inches, staring down at it in shock. “W-what-” Is all he can get up, before the strange pile starts to rumble, taking another few floats back, he couldn’t make sense of what he was looking at, some kind of strange, trash-like creature was staring back at him, and he had no idea what to do. Feeling his heart starting to race he desperately tries to understand what was happening. He had heard stories about strange pokemon forming from various strange environments. Could this be something new, shivering slightly he takes a quick gaze around. It appeared that he and the creature were the only two things in the room, possibly in the entire dump. Perhaps this place was abandoned, and this thing had somehow sent the letter. Without much thought he quickly turns and floats out, moving as fast as he can as he flees out of the back of the room. Looking over his shoulder just once to see the pile steadily rising still. Quickly looking away he turns his attention right towards the door. However right as he’s about to reach it Myr feels something reach up. A small gasp of surprise leaving his lips as without warning he’s suddenly sent falling. Tumbling forwards and into the slimy filth covered ground. Feeling his entire body growing wet as he quickly tries to turn over, the floor felt much more sticky than he could remember, squirming around Myr eventually manages to get back up, gagging softly as most of his body was coated in whatever was clinging to the ground. But he has no time to waste hurrying out of the door and closing it behind him. Quickly fleeing down the stairs and off into the distance. He thought he remembered the way back, it wasn’t that far of a walk was it. He just had to keep going this one way and he would get out. By the time Myr starts to calm down he shutters softly and starts to take a look around, all he could see were the giant piles of trash that surrounded him. All of the paths looked the same, and in the back of his head he could still remember what had caused him to trip, he didn’t see anything. But despite that he knew he felt something grab his tail. Something warm, sticky, and slimy had grasped onto him. Tripping the poor mew up as he was sent falling into the ground. Shaking his head once more Myr starts to collect himself, quickly trying to calm down and put everything together. His head was pounding, and his heart was racing. Nothing about this made sense. He swore he was going the right way, but as he came to his senses, he couldn’t even remember which way he had come from. Not to mention his fur, it was starting to look different, the smell of trash clung to his body, and his fur was growing matted with the filth. Covered in a nice, and heavy gunk that even as he tries to wipe it away he only smeared it further across his body. But that wasn’t even to mention how much he started to enjoy the smell. Without even thinking his nostrils flare. Taking in long, deep breaths of that stench. Each huff makes him take in more of that stink. At this point he was hopelessly lost. He felt so heavy too, his body getting more sluggish with every little movement. He couldn’t float at this point. Being so weighed down by the gunk covering his body, he could only really slink through the garbage, trying to find some way out. Though going deeper and deeper. He could feel his stomach rumbling softly, a deep growl escaping it. Hunger hits him hard, even though he had eaten earlier that day, he just felt so hungry. The need to eat made his entire body shake. The smell of filth makes him groan, it smelled so good. So inviting, he found his attention drifting. Turning slowly to face the many piles of trash around him, the smell of it wafting off of each and every corner of the place. Nose involuntarily sniffing at the air. Feeling his hunger grow with each passing second. “I have to get out here.. I can’t believe I’m even thinking about eating that..” He mutters quietly to himself. Myr had to get out of there, shaking his head he pushed on. Though after mere moments of wandering, it quickly becomes more apparent that he wouldn’t be escaping soon. He was starting to feel more lethargic as well, the hunger making it hard to focus on anything else other than the filthy trash surrounding him. Slowly he licks his lips, turning his attention over to the nearest trash pile. “I can’t believe I’m actually thinking this..” He mutters to himself, reaching down as without a second thought he starts to dig through the trash. Looking for anything he could eat. That rumbling deep in his body growing once more, reaching his hands down he rubs slightly at his gut, smearing in more of that trash as his fur starts to dye a deep, dirty green, and brown. Shades of foul filth spread across his body. “Just one bite, that’s it.. Just enough to get my wits.” He reasons with himself pulling up an assortment of trash that he had fished out from the pile. The smell assaulting his nose as he leans in, taking an even deeper breath.. Without another thought he starts to shovel mouthfuls of food into his mouth at a time. Stuffing pawfuls of trash into his mouth, the taste, the texture. Everything about it was amazing he couldn’t stop himself, with each passing moment he only stuffed more, and more into his mouth. He could feel specks of trash dripping down his body, merging with his slimy skin turning it from the already filthy green to an even deeper brown. But no matter how much he tried to stuff into his mouth, he found himself unable to eat fast enough to sate his growing hunger. No matter how much he ate, Myr was only feeling more and more hungry, licking his lips he groaned, he had to find a way to eat more, and eat faster. Though it doesn’t take long for an idea to suddenly spring to mind. A wide grin setting on his face, chuckling lightly as he chomps his shaper teeth together a few times. They felt razor sharp, ready to tear through anything he could get his hands on. Speaking of, as he looks down towards his hands he swore they were starting to look different. They were longer, stronger. Grasping his hands together with a bit of a grin, Myr shutters. Perfect grabbers to pull in as much trash as he could. But he wanted to get nice, and deep into the trash to eat even more as he let out a small growl of pleasure. Licking his lips he jumps forwards, and face first into the trash pile. Opening up his mouth to chomp down on the awaiting trash, stomach rumbling loudly as he munches down mouthfuls at a time. His gut swelling larger and larger. Rolling through the trash bits and pieces of garbage start to stick to his body. Slowly swelling larger and larger as he reaches up higher into the trash pile before pulling them downwards opening his mouth nice and wide to munch down on it. A soft growl leaving his mouth. He couldn’t really think too much any more. With each bite of trash he shredded and swallowed down he could feel his intelligence further dim. Getting just a bit dumber with each passing moment. But even as his gut starts to lift him off the pile he only feels that hunger build. He needed to eat more, he couldn’t explain it but he was just so hungry, so needy. All of it was just too much for his mind to process. As his fingers start to tingle slightly he wiggles them before they start to soften, slowly starting to merge together, shrinking down as he digs them down into the trash. Soon feeling three things sinking into either of his hands. Pulling them out, and seeing three metal poles on either hand. A soft growl leaving his mouth as he scraps down at the ground, tilting his head off to the side before lifting a hand up. Giving his hands a few wiggles, quickly finding that he was able to move those metal pipes. Squeezing the pipes together curiously, before looking down towards the trash pile once more. Digging those pipes down into the pipe he digs around in there for a bit before pulling back, and with it another handful of trash. A dumb, dull grin spreads across his face. He couldn’t help but feel some form of immense pride in learning how to use these graspers. Opening his mouth he stuffs the rest of the trash into it. Rolling out of the pile and landing on the ground with firm a grunt. Shaking his head and slowly picking himself back up the garbage pokemon starts to take a look around, rubbing the back of his head with a small grunt. By now Myr, or whatever he was now, wasn't exactly capable of speech any more. All he could really do was just wander around eating trash when he could. Rubbing the back of his head a small grumble leaves his mouth, raising a brow as he tries to remember just what he was doing. It was a bit hard to remember. He was wandering around the dump for something. He was looking for something, then he decided to take a short break because he was getting hungry. He looks back towards the remnants of clothes laying in the dirt behind him. Were they his? It was weird he couldn’t remember, but he didn’t really need to think about it. He didn’t need to worry about anything, he never did. Now even though he couldn’t remember what he was looking for he shrugs it off. Deciding to continue on, rubbing at his belly once more. A small, quiet “Garrrr~” Leaving his mouth as he continues on. After walking for some time he comes to a bit of a smaller garbage pile, tilting his head a bit to the side as he leans in. Sniffing a bit at the scent, before leaning forwards and starting to dig through the pile. He knew it, it was right here whatever he was looking for it was right in here. Shivering once more, feeling rather cold he gives a small shake of his head and a quick grunt of annoyance. But he does his best to not let it get to him as he tosses everything else off to the side. Eventually pulling out a torn up, and ruined garbage bag. Here it was! This was what he was missing~ Lifting it above his head he looks up with a bit of a blank stare, tilting his head to and fro, trying to line it up with the holes. A small grunt leaves his mouth as he tugs down on the bag, quickly pulling it over his head, feeling his two long, trash ears pop out the other end. Another pleased “Garbodor~” passes his lips as he stretches out, lounging back in the trash pile. Ready to relax for the day and every day after that, as a nice, happy, Garbodor.
