Chaos was out for a walk around town, not really doing or looking for anything in particular. He was just hanging out, walking around. It had been a long day, being trapped inside for most of the week, bogged down with work, he always enjoyed a good walk, it was nice to finally relax. It helped calm the nerves and get his mind and get everything in order. He had started to make his way through the shopping district, just taking a look around. Staring at some of the various shops, looking to see what they had inside. He didn’t really plan on buying anything but it was nice to do a bit of window shopping. Eventually though he stumbles across a little toy shop towards the end of the hall. He had seen it around every now and then, but never really checked the place out. It wasn’t anything all too interesting to say the least, at least that’s what he thought. He wasn’t sure what it was about today in specific. But.. Something about it today just drew him in. He couldn’t help but move closer, and closer to the building. Looking into the windows at her stares at all of the various toys on the inside. “Huh.. I never noticed how beautiful these things are..” He mutters quietly to himself. The inside of the store was lined with little figurines. Ones that he had not seen anywhere else. It was strange, he almost felt drawn to them. LIke he just had to go in there, maybe even buy a few things. A smile on his face he rubs his hands together before starting to make his way into the store. Upon stepping into the shop Chaos instantly felt a heavy wave of pleasing, cool air brush across his body. Making him shutter softly, closing his eyes as he tilts his head back. It was hard to ignore the feeling. So calming, so nice and lovely. He just couldn’t help but sigh out softly, smiling warmly as he collected himself. Remembering what he was here for he collects himself up once more, and starts to make his way deeper into the shop. Looking around at the various toys on the inside he smiles a bit. There were so many options to choose from, figures, dolls, v-pets, it was hard to ignore just how well made they were too. Chaos couldn’t help but wonder if they might be handmade, he couldn’t say he’s seen anything like this anywhere else. All of these appeared to be made specifically for this shop, and that was something that excited the Husky immensely. A wide grin crosses his face, rubbing his paws together once more, as he eventually reaches the front counter. A raccoon who was manning the counter offered a wave to him. “Ah, hello there, how can I help you?” The fur questions, offering a warm smile and wave of his paw. “Anything you might be looking for in our lovely little shop? Anything you’re collecting?” He looks over Chaos a few times with a soft hum. “Hmm.. Or are you perhaps looking for a gift? Maybe a loved one, family member?” He questions before smiling a bit wider. Chaos’s eyes drift back, past the Raccoon as he stares at the shelves behind him, the various My Little Pony figures resting on the shelves. All of them still looking almost untouched, looking absolutely beautiful. The raccoon continues questioning Chaos for a bit longer before pausing, taking notice that he didn’t seem to be paying much attention. Looking over his shoulder, towards the ponies he smiles slightly, leaning on his hand. “Like what you see? What one catches your eye most?” Chaos is brought out of his daze as the fur questions that. Blushing a bit he rubs at the back of his head before glancing back up. “Hmmm.. I’m not too sure, I have to say these things are beautiful. Are they all hand made?” He asks, looking at the shop owner who chuckles softly, tapping the tip of his snout with a grin. Chaos chuckles softly and nods. “I thought so, it really has that kinda.. Homely feel to it you know?” He states, crossing his arms as his eyes finally land on one in particular. Chaos always was at least a small fan of My Little Pony, and in specific he always loved the look of Applejack, something about her was just so cool, the hard work, and ability to just be so strong. He didn’t want to admit it out loud but he had always admired the mare, even if she was just a fictional character. “How much were you wanting for that Applejack one?” He questions, pointing up to it with a pleased smile of his own. Glancing over his shoulder the raccoon hums slightly, before looking back to Chaos with a smile, and nod. “You know what, for you.. Go ahead and have it~ I think this would mean so much more to you than me~” He explains, turning back around, reaching up as he grabs the figure carefully off the shelf before handing it over to Chaos. The husky’s eyes sparkled slightly, staring down at it with a bit of shock, he couldn’t believe the offer. As much as he wanted to give at least something for it he had to admit. He wasn’t one to turn down such a deal. “A-ah! Thank you~ That uh.. R-really means a lot~” He smiles wider, beaming to the raccoon who just chuckles a bit and nods. Chaos nods back. “You have yourself a great day, I’ll be sure to stop by again sometime soon~” He replies, turning around, giving a wave to the shop owner as he starts to make his way out. Though with each step it almost felt like the ground began to waver under him. Swaying back and forth for just a moment. It almost felt like everything was starting to warp all around him.. Though despite feeling a bit dizzy from the warping and shifting he doesn’t really seem to process it. Just a strange feeling, and nothing else. Pushing open the doors he’s met with a bright flash of sunlight. Raising his hand to block it out he winces slightly before lowering his hands. Staring out at the scene in front of him with shock. He was standing on a long dirt path. Trees surrounded him as he could feel a pleasant breeze blowing through the air, and wrapping all around him as he shuttered softly. “W-what? Where… Where am I?” He questions turning around to look all around. Feeling his heart race for just a moment, before he starts to notice.. Something. This place looked familiar.. He couldn’t place his finger on it but there was just something about it that drew him in. He couldn’t help but feel like maybe.. He belonged there. Slowly starting to make his way down the path he reaches into his pocket, Chaos isn’t sure why he does this but does so anyway. Grasping around for where the Applejack doll was mere moments ago. Grabbing all around and finding.. Absolutely nothing at all. “What in the?” He questions, cocking his head to the side as he reaches around. Eventually fishing out his hand once more, frowning heavily as he stares at his empty palm. “Th-this doesn’t make any sense? I knew I put it there? Did it maybe fall out?” Luckily he hadn’t walked too far from where he first found himself. Unluckily however he couldn’t find a single trace of it. Shaking his head he calmed down, Chaos was over thinking all of this, after all he didn’t have to worry about that Applejack figurine or anything he just had to get out of here and back home. Getting back on track he starts to make his way through the trees and down the path. Looking around at them all the while. It didn’t take him long however to realize that he was looking at apple trees. All of them are incredibly close to being ready. The mere sight of seeing how close they were to harvest made Chaos squirm slightly, a slight hint of excitement slowly starting to bubble up in his chest. A small grin started to creep up the sides of his muzzle. They looked so ripe, so good, they weren’t ready and yet he could see it would only take a short while to fully ripen. Taking a short breath he shakes his head and continues on. After walking for a bit more time Chaos finds the path opening up to see a massive farm land stretching out in front of him. It was only now that things clicked in his mind. He was in the middle of the Apple’s farm. Something like this just didn’t make any sense though. How could he get here, and was this the real deal? Taking a look around the farmland he can see various animals all going about their day. It didn’t seem to be fake, but at the same time it was oddly quiet and empty. Rubbing the back of his head with a frown he starts to walk around. “Hello?! Anyone here?!” He calls out while taking a good look around, and yet despite that there was no response. Shaking his head he shrugs and starts to make his way towards the farmhouse. At this point, with nowhere else to really go he decides to check out the farmhouse. Walking up towards the front door he realizes just how much smaller the house was. He could still fit inside of course but he could easily tell that it was more fit for ponies than anthros like him. Stepping inside and looking around Chaos noticed right away that everything looked like it was right out of the show. Whether it was real or not he had to admit it looked like the real thing. Chaos’ ears twitch on the top of his head, taking a look around as he tilts his head to the side. Once again he tried to listen for any others who could be in the house. But aside from his own footsteps it was eerily silent. “Hmm..” Chaos thinks once more to himself, closing his eyes a bit as he tries to think over what was going on, he stepped out of a door and ended up somewhere completely different, in what appeared to be a copy of the Apple’s farm.. Or perhaps it was the thing itself, though in that case where were the Apples? As he thinks over this he fails to notice a strange wave passing over him. The fur on the tip of his tail slowly started to change color, turning brighter and shifting to a more dirty blonde color. Eventually he sighs and shakes his head. He just couldn’t put it together, maybe this was all just some kind of weird dream? It did kinda seem that way.. Though giving himself a quick pinch on the cheek while it hurt didn’t seem to do anything. Sighing softly and looking around he decides to explore the house a bit more. Chaos wasn’t sure why he wanted to explore the house but it almost felt like it was normal. Like he was just taking a look around, making sure the house was in proper order. Nice and clean.. He had to make sure that nothing was going on in the house, and to make sure Applebloom had cleaned up after her and her friend’s last little adventure. Though Chaos paused upon hearing that, shaking his head a bit as he chuckled. “Where did that come from?” He mutters quietly to himself before chuckling he was probably just over thinking things. Getting a bit more into the scene. It was a bit of a silly thing to think about after all. It wasn’t like he was Applejack or anything… Though as he thought about that.. It didn’t exactly sound too bad…” Blushing and rubbing the back of his head he chuckles a bit at the thought. Running his hand through his hair, which felt a good bit longer and thicker almost like a mane. Yet he didn't even seem to notice. Making his way upstairs he knocks on each of the doors before leaning in, peering into the rooms and taking another look around. Once again like the rest of the farm the place was absolutely empty. “Dangnit.. Where the hay is everyone?” He questions his voice sounding a bit lighting, having a slight twang to it. The start of an accent forming on his tongue as he looks around once more. “We’re so close to harvest too.” He huffs softly, seemingly unaware of the changes happening to both his body and voice. Shaking his head once more he starts towards the last two rooms in the house, opening up one to a more old fashioned room, taking a step inside he puffs his cheeks out, resting his hands on his hips as he once again shakes his head. “Where could they all be?” He mutters once again to himself, raising a hand to his head, wincing softly as he feels another small jolt through the back of his head. “W-what in tarnation is going on?” He mutters quietly to himself giving a shake of his head, and upon doing so he could feel his ears flop over slightly before standing back at attention. Twitching slightly as they’re covered in a short coat of orange fur. Feeling his stomach rumble he licks his lips, rubbing a bit at his belly. Well there wasn’t anyone else around so maybe he could help himself to something to eat. He had a bit of time before harvest anyway. Especially since it seemed like he was the only one who would be working he might as well treat himself before he started. But there was somewhere he had to stop first. After all, he’d be working in the fields all day so he needed a bit of protection from it. A small hum leaves his mouth as he turns to the next room by the end of the hall. Opening up the door he slips inside and takes a cursory glance around, as if he knew exactly what he was looking for and exactly where this thing was. “Ah there it is~” Reaching out Chaos swipes the wide cowboy hat off the rack by the door. Sliding the hat on he frowns. The thing was ill fitting and seemed to tilt heavily to one side. His head was not quite fitting as well as he thought. Making his way back downstairs there was a slight tingle in his feet, his shoes quickly growing tight, before suddenly bursting open, oddly once again he didn’t seem to notice the sudden change as orange fur slowly starts to spread across his paws, his toes slowly starting to merge together, claws merging back in on one another as he shutters. His feet quickly harden as they turn into a pair of heavy, hard hooves. Clopping loudly against the ground as he starts to prepare some apple meals. It was effortless to cook and set them up, it was almost like he had made all of these before. He didn’t need a recipe list or anything. But soon he finds a feast of various apple themed treats and meals covering the table. Rubbing his hands together he takes his seat at the table. Slowly, that short coat of bright orange fur starts to spread up his legs, reshaping, and shifting as they turn more digitigrade. Stuffing his face Chaos hunches over the table, his stomach rumbling loudly, grunting and murring softly as he munches down on as much as he could get. The taste of it was amazing, murring pleased he couldn’t believe how the last harvest came out, it was amazing. It only made him even more excited about the upcoming harvest. Maybe he could try a few apples while he was taking them down. But he quickly shakes off those thoughts, no he shouldn’t do anything like that. It wasn’t very honest work. He could have some when he gets back in after the harvest. There’s another tingle on his flank, a small shimmer slowly flickering across it as once again the changes start to pick up once more, three apples appearing on either flank. Looking down he rubs at his flank softly, of course it was his cutie mark. He had it for as long as he could remember. Soon enough he wraps up his meal, belching softly as he leans back, patting his stomach as the orange continues to spread upwards stopping halfway up his gut as he shakily gets back up. Wobbling slightly from the new legs, though he thinks nothing of it. “Now best ta git ta work~” He remarks, accent thickening even further. Sounding more and more like a proper cowgirl as his voice grows just a bit higher once more. For just a moment it almost felt like there was something wrong, something just.. A bit different. But he was just being silly and over thinking things. Nothing was really strange about this. After all, he had always been like this. A proud Apple farmer. Though at the same time, he couldn’t help but wonder why that felt so strange to say. A part of him knew this was wrong, that this wasn’t right and he couldn’t be like this. But it was such a small, and now quickly fading part of his mind he didn’t bother to pay much attention to it. Simply shrugging it off as he continued about his prep work. Gathering up buckets from around the house, and giving a few test kicks to a fence pole outside. Snorting slightly a grin appears on his muzzle as he laughs. “Haha~ Still got it in ya~” He muses slightly before putting the buckets on a cart and starting out in the acres. Setting the cart’s lead down as he approaches the trees, Chaosjack looks up and down the thing. They were perfect, ripe and ready as he stretched his legs out once more. Looking up towards the tree he takes a deep breath, reeling his foot back before thrusting it forwards, delivering a firm kick directly into the base of the tree. In doing so a slight jolt is sent back up his leg making him wince, looks like he wasn’t quite in perfect form let. But it was more than enough for the apples to start falling from the tree, directly into the bucket below. Grunting softly as he shakes his head he dusts his hoof across the ground, rolling his eyes. “Dangnit.. Am I really that outta practice? I can’t be slackin like this.” He mutters reaching up as he can feel his mane brushing across his back, he wasn’t sure how it got untied, but he always kept a spare on him, fishing it out of his pocket his pants slowly fade away, turning into leaves that scatter towards the ground, tying his mane back he gives his head a shake, his muzzle twitching as it squishes down, pressing down and rounding out into a more proper pony snout. Walking over to the next set of trees she gives another firm kick to the next tree, feeling another small jolt. It was a bit less worse than before but it was still there. Giving a small shake of her head, she just needed to get back into practice. She didn’t even notice the still spreading orange fur now moving further up her body, soon stopping right below his chest after a few more kicks to the trees she eventually picks up the now full buckets, setting them on the cart before picking them up once more, though lifting them up once more there’s a small crack that shoots down her back, grunting heavily and falling forwards he braces himself with his hands, landing on the ground on all fours. “Gah!” She gasps out, trying to stand up for just a moment, but is quickly pulled back down to the ground. Though staring down towards the ground and then around she tilts her head. Why was she trying to stand on her hind hooves anyways? No wonder she kept hurting her leg with those kicks. Laughing a bit to herself she shakes her head softly. She was being absurd. “What is up with me today?” She shakes her head once more Applejack had to get her head together, she still had an entire day’s work to go she couldn’t just keep falling into whatever these strange thoughts were. So gathering herself up Applejack starts to make her way through the orchards, though with each step she takes she can’t help but notice how awkwards it feels to be walking on all fours. It should be normal, in fact it was. So why did it feel so strange? Stretching out her hind legs a bit she doesn’t think that it was any kind of cramp, it just felt weird. Looking over her body she stares at her hands for a good few moments. Wait, hands? What were those meant to be? She shrugs it off, continuing on still moving a bit awkwardly even as the orange fur starts to move slowly down her arms. It doesn’t take long for her to reach the next set of trees, setting down another set of buckets, this time using her maw to lift them up, setting them down on the ground with a huff. Looking back she kicks at the tree again, spreading her stance as the tree shakes, and apples fall towards the bucket. A small huff and grin appears on her muzzle. Feeling no backlash this time however gave her a bit more confidence. Moving down the line she kicks down tree, after tree. Filling up the buckets much faster this time before quickly piling them back into the cart, and hurrying off. Now as she was walking towards the next area of the orchard she kept her gaze straight ahead, feeling a small, but growing tingle through her arms and hands. She was so focused on walking that she didn’t notice as she lifted her hands with each step they slowly started to change more and more. Fingers balling up, starting to fuse together, turning into heavy strong hooves. Though as she looks down towards her hooves once more she gives a small nod and huff with a smile. That was more like it, hooves, just like she always had, no more of those thoughts about hands or whatever those things were. The orange fur coating her new hooves as they slowly start to crawl up her neck. Continuing to work her eyes flicker, turning a brighter, emerald green. Growing larger and more cartoony, orange fur covering the rest of her body. While her tail is the last thing to change, growing much smaller, long ropes of horse hair sprout from her new tail. It flicks and waves around, giving her ass a small shake with a huff. Looking over herself, for just a moment she couldn’t help but feel like there was something off. That she wasn’t meant to be this way. But quickly she shakes this off. Picking up the last of the buckets she fills up the rest of the cart. Hooking the lead up to her neck. “Hrrf.. Ah really don’t know what was up with me today.. Probably just stressed from having to do all the work around the farm. Well ah guess this just goes to show how much the family helps~” She muses aloud to herself, giving a small shrug of her forehooves. “They’ll probably be back soon anyways. Good ta git all this done now. Don’t want the apples going bad.” Applejack eventually made it back to the farm, carrying out the apples and putting them in barrels for preservation. There was still a lot of work to do, but it was getting late, and it’d be best to rest up for she could be up early after all~
