Jak was digging through the attic of his house. Letting out a small hum of confusion he picks up a rather massive and heavily sealed box. More than just taped up, having even a strange liquid seal painted over the top really keeping him from properly opening it. Kneeling down he scratches slightly at the top of it, tilting his head as he wonders just why this thing would be sealed. That did make him think a bit though. His mind drifted towards the stories he had heard about this place. Apparently the house had belonged to a group of infamous hackers who had swindled hundreds out of unsuspecting victims. Jak could only imagine what was waiting to be found elsewhere in the house, and if perhaps he could sell it for money. A slight grin spreads across his face as all of these thoughts and possibilities fill his mind. Who knows he could even have a bit of fun with the hacking gear himself if he could figure it out. It wasn't like he was totally inept at it. Just would likely take a good amount of practice, though he was thinking ahead. Unsure of if he would even find anything inside of this thing. But deciding to test his luck the man hefts it up, and starts to carry it back down the stairs. The box was surprisingly light carrying it down the stairs with little difficulty. A few small huffs leaving his mouth before finally dropping it onto the table below. Staring down at the box he once again looks it over. Now in better lighting as he rubs at the side of his head. “Hmm.. Okay, now how the hell do I get this thing open?” He asks scratching at his neck with his other hand. The liquid covering the top wasn’t anything he had ever seen before. Upon leaning in to try and get a better look he narrows his gaze and with a small hum he stares a bit closer at the adhesive. Squinting as he stares at it, trying to figure the thing out he starts to notice something rather strange but.. Interesting. Staring down at it he tilts his head. Seeing a collection of 1s and 0s was seeming to crawl down the adhesive. Almost like it was moving. “What in the?” He questions, cocking his head to the side as he keeps examining it. The more he stared at the thing the more he felt like it was almost.. Alive. Moving as it surrounds the box. Almost like it was some kind of firewall. “There’s no way these guys were smart enough to figure something like that out.” He says to himself, giving a quick shake of his head, kneeling down to see if he could just peel it off, sticking his tongue out as he draws his nail down the side of the box. Trying to see wherever the gap in this thing was. Even digging in at a few places to try and tear through it. Though as soon as he puts any pressure on it there’s a sudden, strong jolt through his body, making the man yelp in surprise. Quickly pulling his hand back and shaking it while sucking air through his teeth. “A-ah fucking hell… W-what was that?” He questions, whatever this thing was it didn’t exactly seem that he could open it by force. Out of options and ideas he stands up and makes his way up to his room. Coming back down a few moments later with a laptop. Flipping it open and turning it on as he looks up towards the box once more. “Well it’s a long shot.. But that's really all I got..” He tells himself, opening up a few options on his phone. Flicking through different things that he thought he could use. Eventually after a bit more tinkering with the thing he comes across something in his bluetooth connectivity. It appeared to be a jumble of corruptive text. The area around the text warping alongside it. Almost seeming to bend and bulge the screen ever so slightly. But shaking his head, assuming it was just a trick he selects it, opening it up as a small image of a smiley face flashes across his screen. Below it was a small set of text that read. “Please insert the accompanying USB stick to continue.” Jak stares at it for a few seconds. Before hurrying back up to the attic. Yearning apart everything else in the room, before making his way over to where he found the box. After a bit of investigation there he sees one of the boards on the floor was loose. “Gotcha~” He remarks with a pleased chuckle, kneeling down and fussing with the floorboard a bit before finally pulling it open. As he did he saw a small match book right in the floorboards, Pulling it back out he gives it a good long look over. Turning it up and down as he frowns. Making sure there wasn’t any sock trap or anything on this. Though he didn’t find anything. While making his way back down he scratches the back of his head. Wondering if maybe someone wanted him to find this. There didn’t seem to be any other forms of protection on the box, only the stick. Something about all of this felt like destiny, like he was meant to find this. And open up whatever was inside of this box. Upon making his way back down towards the table he takes a seat once more. Lifting up his computer onto his lap, looking over to the box as he sets it down, and pops in the USB stick. Looking back up to the box, then to his screen. Swapping between the two while waiting for something, anything to happen. Maybe he got the wrong stick, or maybe the thing was damaged from the elements and there was no way of using it. Just as he’s about to give up however, the stick sparks, flickering to life as his screen starts to change once more. Slowly a new interface forms on the screen, showing off various options, though all but one of them were grayed out. The option simply reads “Enter” Looking at the thing he raises his brow. Hovering over the option he stares down at it lightly tapping over the left click as he frowns. Debating if he actually wanted to click it or not. Who knows what he would be clicking on, what he would be pulling himself into it. Frowning while giving it a few more unsure taps. After all, he couldn't help but once again feel that it was too easy to get into this. It had to be some kind of trap. But then again he did need to get a new laptop, and there wasn’t anything too important on here.. After thinking for a few more long moments Jak nods and smirks. Clicking on the option as the screen starts to glitch out once more. Stuttering and corrupting, the speakers emitting a loud, ear piercing ringing, hands quickly shooting up to either side of his head, wincing as the loud ringing echoes through his ears. Quickly trying to use his foot to turn the device off. Though no matter how long he holds down the power button he just can’t get it to shut off, cursing under his breath as he bites his lip. Just getting up and getting ready to leave until it hopefully stopped. Or someone filed a noise complaint. He thought to just smash the thing, but even with his ears covered he was still getting a terrible headache. Though right as he starts to leave the screen slowly dims and darkens, the sound eventually fading. At least until suddenly lighting up again, flashing brightly, blinding Jak as he raises his hands to cover his face. Just as everything turns a bright white, it fades to a deep, inky black. As Jak drifts off into unconsciousness. Coming to however long later Jak raises a hand to his head, it was pounding. Hard to focus as he shutters softly. “F-fuck…” He groans, his head still pounding as he shakily gets up. Finding himself standing at the edge of a small ghost town. Taking a look around he notices some, a small circle right in the corner of his vision. Narrowing his gaze he tries to make it look a bit clearer. Reaching a hand up after a few more moments as he goes to touch it. Right as his finger taps against it the circle presses in, before opening up with a set of options down one side of his vision, alongside what he could only describe at a HUD at the top of his vision he eyes them curiously while swiping at the air. Finding himself able to interact with everything, he moves it around seeing he could interact with the options, at least all of them but one. There was one option that remained inaccessible. “Jack in” was all it said, like all the other options it didn’t offer any description of what each option did. Pretty much leaving him with only the ability to experiment. Looking at some of the other options he saw one that said “Hack” and looking around he could see it light up whenever he looked at anything in the surrounding areas. From different buildings, to the fence on the outside, and even the trees. As he thought more on it he raised a hand to his chin with a small hum. “Okay.. wait am I in a game or something?” He wonders aloud, trying to see if there was an option to log out. Unsure of how he got here, or if someone put him into this. But knowing he wasn’t able to get out of there he shakes his head softly. “Might as well just play along for the time being..” He mutters quietly to himself, reaching up as he looks at one of the strange looking metal trees as he selects the hacking option. As he does so there’s another small flaw, a few other options appearing in front of him as he stares at the choices. One of them appeared to be remove collision. Change colors, alter size, and a good few others. Curious, he chooses to remove the collision. Once the option goes through he closes the menus and starts to make his way towards the tree. Looking it up and down Jak reaches a hand out slowly pressing it against the tree, he didn’t expect it to actually work so as his hand passes through the tree he falls right through it. Tumbling forwards with a short yelp as he falls right into the tree. “S-shit shit!” He shouts before hitting the ground with a loud yelp. Groaning and picking himself up Jak looks around the inside of the tree. Rubbing the back of his head as he goes to stand back up. Though as he sits up, now sitting inside of the large metal tree it finally clicks for him that he just hacked this thing. Grinning and picking himself up Jak quickly steps back out of the tree as he looks himself over. “Haha, oh hell yes that’s actually really cool~” He says to himself, mind drifting away from actually getting out of there. He had much larger thoughts now instead. Getting rather excited about seeing what else he could do with this hacker interface. Wherever he was he wanted to have a good bit of fun before joining in on all of this. Raising a hand and flickering through the options he finds a map option, opening it up he finds himself at the edge of the file forest, and about to enter an unnamed town. Not thinking of much else he starts to walk into town, looking up at the map to try and gather a bit more info. Seeing the location of wherever he ended up appeared to be the Digital World. While continuing through the forest he eventually though he starts to look down over his body. It was only about now that he realized he didn’t have a body at all! Yet he was moving as if he did have one. Looking around he panics for just a moment, before remembering that he was in some kind of game, or at least a virtual world. He just needed to make himself an avatar probably, opening the menus once more he started to look through all of the options he had, though once again they all appeared to be hacking options. He couldn’t see a single option to edit or create an avatar. Frowning he more or less mentally crosses his arms in slight frustration. Furrowing his brow he started to wander forwards once more. Thinking of his next plan. --------------------------------------- As Ace wanders through the forest he finds himself looking around, eyes drifting to and fro as the Gomamon chuckled slightly to himself. “Hmmm what kind of digimon should I have fun with today?” He muses aloud to himself as he thought. Scratching at the back of his head as he thought to himself, looking down over the smaller default body he usually used to get around he thought over his options. Maybe he could get something a bit bigger? A nice, fat digimon he could amp the musk on, indulge himself to be a bit lazy and gluttonous. Or maybe he could take a total muscle god and turn him into a total slut. He could just take a regular old rookie too and see where he could get with that, he just had so many different options! While walking however he couldn’t help but feel like there was a bit of a change in the air. Like there was something different from normal. Frowning slightly as he takes a good look around Ace eventually shrugs. Not thinking much of it as he walks. A small curious hum leaves his muzzle as he wonders if maybe the feeling was something akin to one of hacker’s new creations. Was his master perhaps toying around with things once again trying to make something fun to show off. The thought excited him, but he did his best to contain himself. Not wanting to make too much noise with an eager chuckle, keeping himself as quiet as possible as he continues down the path. Though while walking he eventually hears a small sound off in the distance. The loud stomping of a large digimon making their way through the paths of the forest. Judging by the sound Ace had to guess the thing was at least a good few hundred pounds. Meaning it had to be pretty large, with either muscle or fat. Not that he was complaining either way. As he follows the sound through the wood he eventually spots a large Leomon growling to himself as he smashes his way through the trees. Ace watches the digimon curiously, noticing how destructive it was. The thing was practically on a rampage, it would be a shame to let it keep up its path of destruction. A small grin appears on Ace’s face as he hops through the trees. Waiting for the perfect moment to drop. Luckily he doesn’t have to wait too long, the Leomon growing tired rather quickly, letting out another growl as he slumps against a tree. “I-I’ll show them. Think they can just kick me out. I’ll give them a show of just how powerful I am..” He growls out, turning around before slashing at the tree he was leaning up against. Cutting right through it as Ace falls from the tree top, having already dropped the spare body the gooey tendrils emerge from his neck, reaching out for the Leomon who barely has any time to react as the thing suddenly reaches around him. “T-the hell?!” Leomon shouts quickly trying to step away. However it was already too late as the Gomamon’s tendrils wrap around him, making him freeze up in shock. Almost right away he could already feel that alien data was starting to invade his mind and body. The tendrils barely even touched him yet they were so volatile. “What are you.. D-doing to me?!” He questions, managing to fight through the haze as he reaches out trying to pull the digimon off of him. “Don’t worry this won’t take toooo much longer~” Ace remarks with a laugh, his tendrils pushing deeper and deeper into Leomon’s body, His neck stretching out, making his head almost look like some kind of mask. Slowly draping over Leomon’s neck he starts to feel his mind growing hazy, it was hard for him to think clearly, soon enough Gomamon engulfs his entire head taking control as a scattering of data showers over the rest of the body. Ace reached up, clenching his new fist while exploring his body with his other hand. Looking over to the spare body he had, a small Kumamon that he had erased the consciousness of he thinks of what to do next. Though before long he could feel a familiar aura around him. ------------------------- Jak had been watching the entire time. Staring at the Gomamon effortlessly taking over the other digimon, fascinated by the sight of it he wondered if perhaps that might be a form of hacking as well. Though his eyes were instead on the limp ice bear body he appeared to be carrying. Ace seemed to be looking around, searching for something, though using this time to get a bit closer Jak pulled up his HUD once more, looking at the options with a small grin. “Okay, lets go ahead and finally give this a shot~” He mutters softly to himself, holding a hand out as he chooses the hack option, selecting the Kumamon, he sees a new option pop up right in the corner of his vision. “Possess… There we go~” He says to himself as if with one motion, he selects it. Suddenly he can feel himself being pulled from all sides, jumping a bit in surprise as Jak can’t even struggle against it, not that he even wanted to struggle of course~ As he’s pulled into the body feeling that tug coming from all sides of him he shivers, feeling a sudden coldness washing over him. Making his bodiless form shutter softly but as he begins to adjust he runs his hands across his lower body. Feeling the thick mitts of the digimon slowly starting to move. As he gains some sense of control over the digimon he can feel an immense sluggish feeling wash over him, an involuntary groan leaving his mouth as he shakily starts to open up his eyes. The brightness nearly blinding him, though the sun is soon blocked out as the head of the Gomamon that he’d been watching leans in to look at him, a look of shock and a bit of confusion on his face as he cocks his head to the side. “Huh? I thought I had gotten rid of your consciousness..” He muses aloud at first before grinning slightly. “Unless, are you not a Kumamon yourself?” He asks the words taking a few moments to really register in Jak’s mind. “Kumamon?” He questions without much thought the exhaustion and sluggishness of his new body even affecting his mind somewhat. He didn’t even think to play along, a sly grin appearing on Ace’s face. His stronger, Leomon body easily holds Jak’s Kumamon form as he chuckles just a bit. “You new to all of this? Who are you anyways? One of Master’s new creations?” Ace questions, lifting up the digimon to give him a good look over. As Ace starts to come back to his senses he squirms and struggles slightly, having seen what Ace had done to the other digimon. “Don’t worry I’m not gonna do anything to you.” Ace replies. “Couldn’t erase your mind after all, if you’re not one of his creations that just makes you even more interesting.” He explains before lowering Jak down to the ground. Setting the snow bear down as Jak stumbles slightly, losing one of his legs as it turns into slush. Nearly falling back but managing to gain back control of the leg at least partially, wobbling around as his entire body felt almost like jello. Sagging slightly as he sways back and forth. “Don’t have full control yet?” Jak perks up slightly glancing over his shoulder while looking down and over his body. “Y-yeah a bit. I wasn’t expecting this body to be so… Snowy?” He says trying his best to explain it trying to take another step he’s able to move forwards though his body turns to slush once more. His leg spatting against the ground though he manages to hold himself up, taking a deep breath to focus himself. “Here, relax a bit~ Just calm down, focus and think of your body as something firm and solid.” Ace remarks, leaning up against a nearby tree. Obviously quite interested in watching this digimon explore his new form. Nodding in understanding Jak does his best to focus his mind. The slightly warm air around him becomes a good bit stronger for just a few moments. Feeling his entire body starting to melt against the heat. But he’s able to focus his mind and as he focuses hard on his body and making it as hard as ice he manages to harden up his form, his slushy-like body slowly pulling up as he groans softly, clenching his fists with a long, deep breath, raising his hands before clenching them into fists. “See, feels a lot better, yeah?” He questions with a small laugh and dismissive wave of his paw. Jak looked down over himself, giving his hand a few more clenches. Pulling his hands together he feels something gathering between his palms. Pulling them apart he sees a large snowball floating between his new palms. A grin on his face as he tosses it up and down in his palm a few times. “Oh wow.. Yeah I’m really liking this~” He says to himself a chuckle leaving his mouth as he reels back, throwing the snowball forwards as it crashes into one of the other trees, the ball wrapping around and stabbing a few ice spikes through it. “Haha oh shoot I can do that?!” He questions Ace, chuckling a bit from behind him, looking back Jak offers a small grin. Walking over he holds his hand out. “I’m Jak by the way~ Thank you for helping out with that. So if you don’t mind me asking, why exactly did you have this body. Did you take it like you did with that lion body?” He questions gesturing to Ace who just crosses his arms and nods. “That’s pretty much it yeah~ You see I have the ability to take over people’s bodies.” He explains pulling one of his tendrils out from the digimon’s body, waving it around slightly with a smirk. “Insert these into them in order to take control of their forms, and then just put my head over their own and get rid of their consciousness to make sure I have full control over their form.” He explains pointing down towards Jak. “If I had to take a guess it’s why it was so easy for you to take over that body. With the consciousness gone it’d make it easy to take over with no resistance. So tell me how did you manage to do that? I don’t even think I’ve seen your true body?” “Well that’s the thing. I don’t really have a body in this world, this is the first physical form I’ve really had~” He explains, Ace nodding slightly as he pushes himself off the tree. “Come along then there’s someone I want you to meet.” Ace replies, giving a wave as he starts to wander off. Not having much of a choice, and curious to see where it was going Jak follows behind the Leomon, curious to see where this would go~
