"description": "This is my half of a trade with fa!Rainbow-boa her lovely half can be seen here \nhttps://inkbunny.net/s/1578687\nThis story involves two species that compete against each other on the same island, but two others figure out its better to be together and get along than trying to put the other race down.\n\nMost of the story is clean but at the end there is a nsfw scene.\n\nThe Island of Flight\nBy Typhlosionboy \n For many generations, in fact, for as long as this island had history, on it lived two species that would constantly war with each other. In the early lives many lives were lost of taken prisoner over the petty squabbles of which race of fliers was the best, and therefore the ownership of the island. The two races, the bats and the butterflies, eventually realized how expensive, as well as destructive waging war constantly was, not just in terms of body count, but as well as noticing how they were quickly depleting the island of its resources and natural beauty. Though neither raved really respected the other, both groups did wish to preserve and maintain the island in a more natural as well as sustainable manner. So it was because of these factors, the leaders of both races at the time, met for a council to decide the fate of both races, as well as the entire island itself. The two chiefs agreed to a peace treaty during that meeting, but they also agreed to a bi-yearly competition against each race to vent out frustrations, and attempt to demoralize the other side without killing, hoping if they got crushed so hard that group would resign from their section of the island, and that was when the first aerial ball along with acrobatic flight competitions popped up. So every two years each team gave it their all, one side crushing the other, taking turns, with no team giving up their section of the island, that which takes us to this years competition, where something else besides hatred is stirring in the air.\n\n Our main focus is on the new contestants, every two years when members from either side hit the age of adulthood, they don’t get to be considered true adults until they compete in the event, of course if they win at even a single event their popularity on the island goes up. Of course this means one can compete until their body gives either due to age, illness, or previous injuries if severe enough. Almost everybody on the island competes over the course of the event, which means most other aspects of life get put on the back burner. Orders that come in, or ships with cargo need to be put on a delayed status, as only the injured or elderly tend to certain things around the island at this time, including the loading as well as the unloading of cargo, or the arrangements of export orders.\n\n Two new contestants who are about to take the stand, will soon change the world around their tiny island, the question is how. Bethany, a shy, naïve eighteen year old butterfly with sparkling blue wings, she is carefree, but a little quiet. She also doesn’t understand why their races can’t really get along, and she believes if everybody put their prejudices aside the two races could coexist in a more harmonious fashion. Her primary job is a basket weaver who’s baskets get used by the fisherman of both races, something she is quite proud of. Than there is Matthew, a member of the bat race, nineteen years old but very outgoing to members of both races, much to the detestment of both races, he is quite active, carefree, and though he has a big mouth he is usually able to back it up with his strength. Being relatively strong comes not only from his siblings making him practice moves in aerial ball as well as acrobatic flight, but from his knot timing job. The job itself allows him to handle hammocks, assisting in the knotting down of ships to the docks, as well as testing the ropes used for scaling rocks, which is also used by both races.\n\n Both Matthew, as well as Bethany had loving family members, with Bethany having three older brothers, all experienced in both competitions. Meanwhile Matthew being one of the middle children, having an older brother and sister, as well as a younger sister, with his older siblings having competed in a few competitions themselves too. Of course none of this wouldn’t make sense until later where the two ended up competing, of course on opposing teams. It was there, in those moments that a more personal relationship would develop, but it was time to find out how, and why.\n\n Bethany had been nervous during the moments up to the announcement for the first game, aerial ball. She had been hoping that the first competition was going to be acrobatic flight, something she was more akin to, but it seems she was going to attempt the more brutal sport first. The rules were simple, everybody participating would be split into groups, within these groups they got evenly paired against a team from the opposing group. Each team had a goalie guarding the stone ring in which the opposing team had to throw the ball through, whoever scored the most in twenty minutes won. Alternatively Bethany also knew that the game time would continue even if you lose half of your team members or more. The only ones to be considered out is if you can no longer fly, or you get knocked to the ground, which wasn’t all that hard if your strength wasn’t up to par, considering the fact that the ball itself was made out of a molten globule of metal that was extremely heavy despite being small in size.\n\n At the end of each primary round, the winners would face off the winners of other rounds of the opposing team, and whichever side had the most wins after every elimination round was declared this year’s Champs. Still, knowing all of that didn’t make Bethany feel any better as her physical strength wasn’t exactly one of her redeeming traits. In fact her team wouldn’t be playing until near the end of the first round, which meant she had to train for a few days before it was her turn to actually participate. The events would be held for around two to three week per each event, and already the young butterfly was feeling overwhelmed. However just as the sickness in her stomach started to get the best of her, the first round was announced by loud thudding drums, which immediately distracted Bethany’s inner doubts as everybody went to sit on opposing sides. The island had built wooden bleachers, and in turn created a few jobs just simply maintaining them, one side for the bats, the other for the butterflies, and yet nobody from either side bothered to acknowledge how not only both species maintained the wooden seats, but as well as that both sides helped to build them too.\n\n Even the participating teams got to watch, assuming it wasn’t their turn of course, with each sides mentality possibly at risk for every match. A win, or lose for either side could start a domino effect of wins for one team, or loses for them as well. Of course that didn’t matter to Bethany, as she got excited watching each team line up on the grassy field, each team doing their respective bows before flipping a coin. The bats would get the ball first, to her disappointment, or so she would think, but the more Bethany watched, she couldn’t but help be enthralled by both teams moving so vigorously almost like a dance when one person passed the ball to another in an effort to make a goal. Bethany, along with every one else not participating in those current matches, would watch three games in succession, with ten minute breaks in between, with the butterflies winning one match, and the bats winning two. As such the next few days for Bethany sort of became a routine, eat breakfast then train, watch some games in the early afternoon, then eat lunch and train some more, then watch a few more games as did everyone, with the day ending with a few hours of training after dinner coupled with a good night’s sleep. That was how she spent her week, even though she knew the butterflies were a bit behind in terms of score, she still didn’t let up on her training, or cheering her siblings on, until finally it was her turn to compete.\n\n Nervous as Bethany might have been, she took her respective spot among the grassy fields of aerial ball with her fellow team mates ready to compete like everybody else before her. The opposing team also lined up, and although there was a bit of trash talking, Bethany noted that there was one bat telling them to knock it off as they were here to show off their skill and pride for their side, not display their dimwitted vocabulary. The butterfly noted that this did indeed upset a few of his team members, but ultimately they disregarded his words, but they didn’t continue their verbal assault either. Bethany kind of thought he was a bit brave to stand up to his teammates even while being just over half their size. With that having been noticed though, Bethany also noted he seemed just as muscular, though she would have to face him to find out.\n\n The tossing of the coin would decide the butterflies would get the wooden ball first, and an attempt to score if they were skilled enough. Quickly everyone would get into position, with Bethany being designated as the teams goalie, she knew the stress was on how well she could catch, block, or redirect the ball away from the goal post itself to other teammates. Quickly the ball would spend its minutes being passed around from team mate to the opposing team, then to each others goal posts. There was a few blocks she made, as well as a few return passes, but every time the enemy team did score a point against her, it was because of that bat from earlier. She simply could not block his throws as he did a fake or two every time before actually throwing, and then when she was expecting a fake for the first time he didn’t. That was how he kept her moving, and so for twenty minutes the two teams dodge, ducked, tossed, sweated, and still managed to play relatively clean, but in the end the match came down to a four to four draw. That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it simply meant each time would have to go against each other next week, around the end once again, but still members from both sides stood up, and clapped, plus shouted as loud as they could over the game ending drums.\n\n It was moments like this that Bethany wondered why their two races refused to co-exist on better terms, if a draw could still draw out this much excitement, imagine the possibilities for other potential life styles. Yet little did she knew, that across from her, a similar thought was occurring in the head of a small, but muscular bat named Matthew.\n\n Matthew was a little impressed with the butterfly team managing to tie up the score in the last minute of the game, but he was especially curious of the female goalie they had. She didn’t seem quite so strong, but he did notice she was usually able to use her nimbleness to help make up for the lack of strength. She seemed to have this grace to her, and the entire time her went to go attempt to score a point, he was never sure if he would make it, or if she would graciously block him out. Still he wasn’t disappointed with the current outcome, plus he was happy his family was also standing amongst the crowd, clapping and cheering him, plus his team on. Though he was tempted to go check up on her after the match, he wouldn’t have the time as each respective side would have a minor end of the week feast for those who won, and since Matthew’s team as well as Bethany’s didn’t win, or lose, they both would be joining the winner’s in this weeks feast.\n\n As everybody, including Matthew started to leave the field in preparation for the food, all the competitors family members would come greet them, talking to each member as they exited the field, including Matthew’s family. His brother, plus his two siblings came running up to him, giving him hugs as well as compliments about his performance, making him blush a little bit. Matthew spent the weekend surrounded by members of his race, his family, as well as delicious food. The entire weekend the main feasting occurring during the evening, with small snacks during the early morning hours and mid day, with the rest of the time spent training. However, for Matthew the food was well worth the training he had to endure, but as he trained more, he got excited wondering how his team would do after all the good food as not everyone showed up to the training both days.\n\n That being said once Monday came around, it was time for regular meals, along with regular training once again. Before Matthew bothered to give it much thought, it was the end of the week already. That meant it was time for him to see that lovely butterfly lass once again, which made his mind wander to what kind of training did she participate in. However it didn’t matter, once he got on the field it was time to win, which his team would attempt to do, yet again they were unable to get by without another draw of six to six. Again he had trouble predicting the goalies movements, but again crowds of both teams stood up cheering with a roaring applause. Yet once more a thought entered his mind, a simple thought that both species should try harder to coexist like he was witnessing now, even if it was just because both sides had a good game once again. Of course he wouldn’t know, but the butterfly goalie that the young bat had admired so much was having quite the same thought as well, just like she did beforehand.\n\n Bethany went to her side of the feast that was taking place, the butterflies being purely vegan in nature, their feasts consisted of dishes that included vegetables, fruits, beans, rice, and various other assortments, though the bats were also mostly vegan in nature, it was likely that they have small amounts of meat in their feasts. That was something Bethany had always wondered about, though she probably would not partake in any meat consumption, rather she wanted to see the dishes that they made with it. Still the young butterfly was happy that he team had barely managed to gold out once again as the third week would be that last week to try to win the game for their team. Whichever side had the most wins would be declared winner of aerial ball, from there the game would then be acrobatic flight, something Bethany knew a thing or two more about.\n\n Of course Bethany was nervous for the final week of aerial ball, as it wasn’t normal for a team to draw twice in a row, but she smiled as her siblings joined her in the delicious feast that was placed before their eyes. Though the butterflies were still behind, that never prevented any of their teams from going out, and a few underdog teams had made multiple wins for the species against the bats. Like every competition before them, clean play was always encourage in case of purposeful injury. This meant that each side had an equal amount of judges, this meant fake calls couldn’t be made so easily, and if injuries did occur both sides had to get together to talk about whether that player would get a one game suspension, or complete elimination from both competitions events. That was another thing Bethany respected was their ability to come together to form a mutual conclusion.\n\n That having been noted, Bethany also noticed though most suspensions as well as eliminations occurred against the bats during aerial ball for unnecessary roughness, while most that occurred against the butterflies would occur during the acrobatic flight, for intentionally knocking the bats out of their tricks either using purposeful maneuvering or other air current altering methods. Though that was still rare on both sides for there to be any eliminations or suspensions in the first place. It was still a little nerve racking for the butterfly lass, but she trained for the final match after the first, with easy weekend practice. In the end her team last by one point, and overall the butterflies lost by only two teams to the bats, but that meant that after a few weeks the next sport would start. Bethany thoroughly enjoyed watching the sport beforehand, and while most everyone was relaxing, there was a small group setting up the props for the acrobatic flight event. It was a task done once again by members of both sides, but only by the ones who lost the first round of matches.\n\n A few weeks would pass, the island having shipped out its delayed orders of exports, and import the goods it would need for the next few weeks. This time Bethany’s team would be playing around the middle of the week instead of the end of it, but once the event would start the harbor would shut down once again except for the few who would bats who would keep fishing, with the occasional butterfly doing checks on local gardens. Besides that, most people from both species didn’t leave during the games, but once the first few days had gone by, it was yet again Bethany’s turn to stand amongst her fellow teammates upon the green field, that was now decorated in the manner of an obstacle course. The way to win was to have a better score, not necessarily a better time in finishing the course. Of course Bethany knew the best way to get a better score is to perform better moves, without bumping into anything, or having mid-flight problems occur, including maintaining control even if it was windy.\n\n Though thankfully for both teams, though mostly for the bats, it was a calm mid afternoon when her team went up to perform. Matthew wasn’t the team she was against, but he was still watching her from afar as she out maneuvered, and over achieved her team for the big scores. It was her spins, twirls, twists, and turns that he watched as she danced in the air, but of course Bethany didn’t know any of those, even as she led her team to victory.\n\n It was in that moment Matthew knew he needed to win as well, by watching Bethany, he could help coach his team during their training in preparation for the real competition. As such, that was exactly what he did, though it was a bit difficult as bats weren’t exactly graceful fliers, but it seemed his team started showing more promise after his specialized training. For Matthew it was a different unique training, one that went against the bat’s fierce nature, teaching them more docile ways of flight. Matthew knew bats being agile wasn’t exactly a problem, but being a more bulky flying race, grace with that agility wasn’t exactly a well known thing amongst his species.\n\n Now it was Matthew’s turn to apply what he taught other members on his team, and so it would turn out better than he expected. His team was able to just barely win doing, various spins, twirls, and a variety of loop de loops mixed in with some spins, even though they finished before the butterflies. It would seem his team got lucky going up against a group of butterflies who either hadn’t practiced, or still weren’t in sync. Either way both Bethany, and Matthew were going to enjoy wonderful mini-feasts once again for their hard work, and speaking of, during the course of the break between the two events, Matthew had learned of Bethany’s named by observing her siblings calling out her name. Of course the slim, but muscular bat had been to nervous to actually introduce himself, it was still good to be able to put a name to her face.\n\n The weeks would fly by, both Matthew, and his hopeful acquaintance Bethany each won their respective matches, with only Matthew losing to Bethany during the last round. Like many competitions before them, the butterflies won the overwhelming majority of acrobatic flight events. That having been noted, Matthew’s team would still get rewarded as being one of the few bat teams to make it to the third week of the event.\n\n Bethany hung out with him friends, family, as well as species during the main festival event, which this time each side sat much closer to each other. The distanced separated them probably by a hundred feet at most, but that allowed Bethany a chance to wander around once her stomach was full and she was satisfied. It was then, while sneaking around on the bat’s side behind some trees that she met him. Gently the bat hushed her, stating his name was Matthew, and that he was thoroughly impressed by her performances he had witness, even being surprised that their team had tied twice in the first event. The blue haired butterfly didn’t know whether she should be happy, or scared, but it wasn’t long that her mind was put to ease when he started speaking of his dream. He told her, imagine the events of the competitions still occurred, but both sides of the bleachers would be filled with both bats as well as butterflies, as would be the teams, and their would be after event feasts with both species sitting together at the tables.\n\nIt was then that Bethany giggled a little, before speaking, “In all my years of listening to folks talk about bats, I never thought I’d hear one speak of such a similar ideal to my own.”\n\nMatthew chuckled at her as he resumed his speech, “See, I knew something about you was different. I had a feeling you had ideas like my own, I could tell by the way you looked at the cheering crowds when both our teams technically didn’t win, or lose either.”\n\n“So, then you wondered what I was thinking as well I see. Well if you think like I do, then tell me in your own words why you think our races have such prejudice against each other.” Bethany stated, wanting to hear his explanation of things.\n\n“Well I might not be that smart about our history, but I heard it had to do with our races warring with each other long ago shortly after discovering each other, and that when the treaty was signed these competitions were set up with the intention of demoralizing the opponent in hopes that they would leave. It seems however both species have their special talents and specific weaknesses that compliment one another, but neither race wants to admit it, so everybody or almost everybody on this island lives in ignorance of the fact that we should be cooperating with each other more.” Matthew said taking a deep breath as he finished his speech.\n\n“Well that was a long winded speech you said, but it seems to make sense to me as you got down the basics. I’m surprised you claimed not to be that smart, yet knew the definition of ignorance, that said though what made you want to talk to me?”\n\n“Because great minds think alike, plus I wanted to do this.” Matthew quickly surprised Bethany with a swift, but gently kiss to her lips, before he pulled off after a short time.\n\n Bethany blushed heavily, of course not having expected such a bold move from the bat, she coyly replied back, “Was that all you wanted to do, or perhaps there was something more?” She casually teased him, pretending part of her two strap shirt had a slip up, in turn exposing one of her breasts to him. The butterfly gave out a beckoning finger of enticement, luring the bat in for a closer bit of intimacy, which started with the two kissing, before heading a little deeper into the trees. This way nobody would hear the two, and from there Bethany casually stripped her clothes off exposing her full body to the bat before her. Watching, Matthew would do the same, before the two quickly pressed their bodies together, the sudden rush of euphoria already coursing through both of their veins. As their bodies began to heat up, it wasn’t long before Bethany felt the bat’s cock slip into her warm moist pussy, but of course there was the issue of her hymen. It meant that Matthew had to be the first to pierce it, and as such he would do just that. A swift thrust would puncture the small vial of flesh, a small amount of blood oozed out coupled with some intense pain, but all that would subside as Matthew started up a thrusting pace.\n\n A slight huff of enjoyment would escape the butterflies lips, but those huffs also became mixed in with various moans, as well as groans from both lovers. Matthew leaned in to suckle on her tits as he pumped his sizeable bat cock into her nether region, eliciting wet fleshy noises the more he kept up his pace. Before either knew it, Bethany was up against a tree, huffing out as she could barely contain the pleasure building up in her crotch while Matthew was thrusting his bat sword while deeply kissing her neck and lips. However Bethany could feel Matthew’s cock start to throb even more with each passing moment of their lust, love induced sexual frenzy, and it was amazing how…full it made her feel. Unfortunately for her it was her first time so she knew she wouldn’t be able to last long, as her pussy quivered more, pulsating very rapidly from the heat, and force of the bat’s wonderful phallus. Moments shortly thereafter, Bethany felt it, her vagina quivered, then pulsed like mad as it contracted then swiftly convulsed as a gush of her cum was soon spewing onto Matthew’s cock. Of course her bat lover wouldn’t stop until he climaxed a few minutes later, shooting and mixing his hot load with her body, along with the juices too. It was in those moments, and the ones they spent cleaning off at the beach did they make a promise to meet up again at a later point. Of course thankfully for them, neither of their family’s found out after their return, which meant they could keep their future relationship a secret until they were ready.\n",

So every two years each team gave it their all, one side crushing the other, taking turns, with no team giving up their section of the island, that which takes us to this years competition, where something else besides hatred is stirring in the air.

Our main focus is on the new contestants, every two years when members from either side hit the age of adulthood, they don’t get to be considered true adults until they compete in the event, of course if they win at even a single event their popularity on the island goes up. Of course this means one can compete until their body gives either due to age, illness, or previous injuries if severe enough. Almost everybody on the island competes over the course of the event, which means most other aspects of life get put on the back burner. Orders that come in, or ships with cargo need to be put on a delayed status, as only the injured or elderly tend to certain things around the island at this time, including the loading as well as the unloading of cargo, or the arrangements of export orders.

Two new contestants who are about to take the stand, will soon change the world around their tiny island, the question is how. The job itself allows him to handle hammocks, assisting in the knotting down of ships to the docks, as well as testing the ropes used for scaling rocks, which is also used by both races.

Both Matthew, as well as Bethany had loving family members, with Bethany having three older brothers, all experienced in both competitions. Meanwhile Matthew being one of the middle children, having an older brother and sister, as well as a younger sister, with his older siblings having competed in a few competitions themselves too. Of course none of this wouldn’t make sense until later where the two ended up competing, of course on opposing teams. It was there, in those moments that a more personal relationship would develop, but it was time to find out how, and why.

Bethany had been nervous during the moments up to the announcement for the first game, aerial ball. The only ones to be considered out is if you can no longer fly, or you get knocked to the ground, which wasn’t all that hard if your strength wasn’t up to par, considering the fact that the ball itself was made out of a molten globule of metal that was extremely heavy despite being small in size.

At the end of each primary round, the winners would face off the winners of other rounds of the opposing team, and whichever side had the most wins after every elimination round was declared this year’s Champs. The island had built wooden bleachers, and in turn created a few jobs just simply maintaining them, one side for the bats, the other for the butterflies, and yet nobody from either side bothered to acknowledge how not only both species maintained the wooden seats, but as well as that both sides helped to build them too.

Even the participating teams got to watch, assuming it wasn’t their turn of course, with each sides mentality possibly at risk for every match. That was how she spent her week, even though she knew the butterflies were a bit behind in terms of score, she still didn’t let up on her training, or cheering her siblings on, until finally it was her turn to compete.

Nervous as Bethany might have been, she took her respective spot among the grassy fields of aerial ball with her fellow team mates ready to compete like everybody else before her. With that having been noticed though, Bethany also noted he seemed just as muscular, though she would have to face him to find out.

The tossing of the coin would decide the butterflies would get the wooden ball first, and an attempt to score if they were skilled enough. That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it simply meant each time would have to go against each other next week, around the end once again, but still members from both sides stood up, and clapped, plus shouted as loud as they could over the game ending drums.

It was moments like this that Bethany wondered why their two races refused to co-exist on better terms, if a draw could still draw out this much excitement, imagine the possibilities for other potential life styles. Yet little did she knew, that across from her, a similar thought was occurring in the head of a small, but muscular bat named Matthew.

Matthew was a little impressed with the butterfly team managing to tie up the score in the last minute of the game, but he was especially curious of the female goalie they had. Though he was tempted to go check up on her after the match, he wouldn’t have the time as each respective side would have a minor end of the week feast for those who won, and since Matthew’s team as well as Bethany’s didn’t win, or lose, they both would be joining the winner’s in this weeks feast.

As everybody, including Matthew started to leave the field in preparation for the food, all the competitors family members would come greet them, talking to each member as they exited the field, including Matthew’s family. However, for Matthew the food was well worth the training he had to endure, but as he trained more, he got excited wondering how his team would do after all the good food as not everyone showed up to the training both days.

That being said once Monday came around, it was time for regular meals, along with regular training once again. Of course he wouldn’t know, but the butterfly goalie that the young bat had admired so much was having quite the same thought as well, just like she did beforehand.

Bethany went to her side of the feast that was taking place, the butterflies being purely vegan in nature, their feasts consisted of dishes that included vegetables, fruits, beans, rice, and various other assortments, though the bats were also mostly vegan in nature, it was likely that they have small amounts of meat in their feasts. That was something Bethany had always wondered about, though she probably would not partake in any meat consumption, rather she wanted to see the dishes that they made with it. Still the young butterfly was happy that he team had barely managed to gold out once again as the third week would be that last week to try to win the game for their team. Whichever side had the most wins would be declared winner of aerial ball, from there the game would then be acrobatic flight, something Bethany knew a thing or two more about.

Of course Bethany was nervous for the final week of aerial ball, as it wasn’t normal for a team to draw twice in a row, but she smiled as her siblings joined her in the delicious feast that was placed before their eyes. That was another thing Bethany respected was their ability to come together to form a mutual conclusion.

That having been noted, Bethany also noticed though most suspensions as well as eliminations occurred against the bats during aerial ball for unnecessary roughness, while most that occurred against the butterflies would occur during the acrobatic flight, for intentionally knocking the bats out of their tricks either using purposeful maneuvering or other air current altering methods.
