Since Knuckle Joe's father happened to be a knight and one of the legendary Star Warriors, Marian herself is an expert martial artist, something Joe inherited her fighter skills from.
I made her two outfits such as her usual villager clothes and her fighter outfit, yes I know it look more like a sentai heroine outfit while I'm trying to go for a fighter style attire, it's also what she wore in the past too, I may design more of her outfits in the future.

She is graceful, brave, determined, strong willed, and has a strong sense of responsibility and is kind and motherly. She's not a strict parent herself, but does worry for her son, but Marian knew he's gonna be alright on his own.

Biography: *Elements taken from the games as well as Kirby: Right Back at 'Ya that made it "Canon Immigrant":
Marian knew Jecra ever since they fought against each other in the arena where she defeated him in battle, Jecra was however impressed by her battle skills, knowing that he's a Star Warrior himself, Marian joined him and his fellow Star Warriors on a journey, but Jecra was reluctant because the whole journey is dangerous, especially the war against Nightmare and Dark Matter.
They were later joined by Roscoe, who was like an older brother figure to Jecra on their adventure.
Overtime, Jecra and Marian developed feelings for each other. He even told her about his past.
Before conceiving their child, Marian and Jecra, alongside Meta Knight and Roscoe that got separated from the group had a fateful encounter against the Swordsman Dark Matter, and after Jecra defeated him, Nightmare placed a curse on the Knuckelf Star Warrior himself secretly as Dark Matter carried it with him before his defeat. *Explaining why he had skin and eye color changes but shifts back to his original color overtime, I headcanon his actual skin color is Caucasian like Knuckle Joe and actual eye color is green like his son has in Super Smash Bros series*
Ever since Marian became a mother to Jecra's son Joe *who inherited his curse, but weaker and a little different, but at times would shift between palletes, explaining why Knuckle Joe first appeared with purple skin, purple eyes, silver hair, red outfit and green headband in Kirby: Right Back at 'Ya before later appearances have him in a game accurate pallete* she settled down as a house wife in her village. Soon enough he had to leave home to continue his journey with Meta Knight and his group, his wife then waited for his return.
When Meta Knight was forced to kill his friend Jecra because he was kidnapped and brainwashed by Nightmare due to the curse he placed on him before, a guilt stricken Meta Knight told Roscoe about what happened to Jecra, due to his fear Marian would view him as an enemy if she knew he killed her husband, Roscoe decided to tell her that a Star Warrior killed Jecra instead.
Marian was told by Roscoe that a Star Warrior whose identity is unknown killed her husband, devastating her. As a widowed mother, she raised her son alone, but with help from her family and Roscoe too, all while Knuckle Joe grew up as he trains regularly.
By the time of the present day, when Knuckle Joe left home to find the Star Warrior who killed his father after overhearing his mother talking to the chief elder of the village about Jecra's death, Marian read his letter about his quest to avenge his father's death, afterwards Meta Knight came to her and revealed who killed her husband, however, she forgave him as it was all Nightmare's undoing. Meta Knight decided to find Knuckle Joe and tell him the truth.
After Knuckle Joe *As a spiked sphere monster* was defeated by Kirby and was reverted back to normal while the curse inside him was broken permanently, he then joined him as one of his allies and later assisted him on his adventures *Events of Kirby Super Stars*. After Kirby's adventure with Ribbon, Waddle Dee, Adeleine, and King Dedede to collect the Crystal Shards *The events of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards*, Knuckle Joe returned to his village and reunited with his mother Marian, who was relieved that he was no longer cursed and already given up on slaying the Star Warrior who killed Jecra, she knew Knuckle Joe can take care of himself as he returned to Pop Star.
While it may seem like Marian has officially retired, but what Knuckle Joe didn't know is that his own mother is an expert martial artist just like him and has never lost her fighting abilities.

Trivia:
Marian knows how to prepare bento boxes herself.
Back in the day, she used to playfully ship Jecra with Meta Knight since the two were the best of friends.
Knuckle Joe cares deeply about his mother, and does have momma's boy tendencies but would get embarrassed about it.

About the Knuckelf species, that's what I called Knuckle Joe's species, because he looks like an elf, it is played on the words "Knuckle" and "Elf".
I already stated a headcanon about Knuckle Joe's species having a unique eye shape change that can be found in the description of my artwork of how KJ looks without his headband:

Since Marian is an adult Knuckelf, I tried to make sure she isn't too short nor too tall, just right, probably at the height of Sir Ebrum and Lady Like, Chef Kawasaki, and even Clawroline.
I'm planning to create more Knuckelf OCs in the future alongside other Kirby OCs, so I hope you like her!
