She wrote a little story that goes with it:
Megan rarely gets to travel very far away from home. Her duties as a historian, and her responsbility for keeping various members of her family from getting into too much trouble generally keeps her pretty close. This year, though, she decided things were going to be different, and when Chelsea invited her to visit for the new year, she accepted without a second thought. It was a long trip, but an exciting one, and she arrived at her hotel in high spirits.
To her surprise, and her delight, Chelsea met her at her room with a bottle of wine and a big hug. As it was still a few hours to midnight, the two of them spent the time drinking wine and chatting together. As the evening progressed, they gradually got more comfortable, both preferring the freedom of their natural fur over restrictive clothing. They sat close together, their attention eventually turning to more and more intimate subjects, each complimented by a gentle nuzzle or a warm touch.
When the sky grew dark, Chelsea grabbed Megan's arm and pulled her over to the sliding glass doors that led onto the small patio. Tail wagging with excitement, she slipped an arm around Megan's waist. "They're supposed to have a wonderful fireworks display tonight. Let's go out and watch them."
Megan gave her friend a doubtful look. "Stark naked? We'll freeze to death."
Chelsea laughed and pushed the door open wide. "Silly bunny, you're in my country now. It's perfectly warm out there, come on."
True to her word, the weather was quite pleasant, but not so much as the company. The combination of warm weather and heady wine drew them closer together, and when the first fireworks of the evening filled the sky, they paled in comparison to the private display on the balcony.
