It was one of those things that just happens sometimes, without anyone really planning it. Megan
had met Chelsea last year when the two of them shared a course together at the university and
they had gotten to know each other fairly well. Enough to go out for coffee a couple of times,
though just as friends. By sheer chance, they ended up attending summer courses at the same
time, both of them eager to get some basic courses out of the way so they could focus on their
majors in the fall. They ran into each other a few times in the library, or around campus, and
they hung out a few times on the weekends, but neither of them thought too much about it until
one evening when Megan ran into Chelsea hanging around outside the Student Center long after it
closed. Megan gave the girl a smile and sat down beside her on a low stone bench outside the
Center.
"I thought you'd be hard at work with your studies. We've only got a couple of weeks left, you
know," Megan said.
Chelsea just gave a little shrug and looked down at her feet.
"My room-mate chased me out. Her boyfriend came up for the weekend and... I don't have anywhere
else to go."
Megan bit her lip. Normally, Chelsea could just go talk to someone in the Housing office, but
they were on short hours for the summer and had all gone home hours ago. Then she smiled, a
little shyly. Since she was rather older than most of the students, she had her own place in
town, and a spare bed just for guests.
"You could come spend the weekend with me. It would be nice to have someone to actually talk to
in the evenings for a day or two," she said.
Chelsea hesitated, but just for a moment.
"Are you sure you won't mind?"
"It'll be my pleasure to have you," Megan said.
Neither of them thought about school work for the rest of the evening. Megan's place was a snug
little house just five minutes' walk from campus but comfortably hidden behind a small yard and
several large trees that gave it the comforting illusion of being hidden from the rest of the
world. They called out for pizza and shared a couple of bottles of wine and a long talk about
everything under the sun except for school and selfish room-mates.
Maybe it was the wine. Maybe it was something else. By the time the sun had set the two found
themselves in Megan's bedroom, where the air-conditioning was strongest. The cool air came as a
relief after the heat of the day and they found themselves beginning to relax. It was, they
agreed later, most likely Megan's idea to get undressed.
"Might as well make yourself comfortable, don't you think?" she said, and if Chelsea noticed the
sly smile she wore, the girl gave no hint she had. Instead, her attention had been caught by
some of the more interesting clothes in Megan's closet, particularly a pair of thigh-high socks
Megan kept for special occasions. She took them down off the hanger and held them out with a shy
smile.
"Can me try some of these on, do you think?" she said.
Megan took the socks and smiled in return.
"Feel free," she said.
They spent much of the rest of the evening trying on various pieces of clothing, admiring one
another as they did so. Though in truth it was mostly Megan who tried on the clothes, while
Chelsea watched her. That was how they ended up in Megan's bed together, with Chelsea admiring
Megan's latest outfit of her favorite corset and those long, silken socks. Chelsea held one of
Megan's feet, running her fingers across the sleek material over and over again.
"They're just so soft. These would feel amazing if--"
Chelsea stopped and suddenly blushed bright red. She had been so absorbed in enjoying the feel
of the socks that she hadn't noticed that Megan's foot had slipped down to rest lightly between
her legs. Megan felt a blush creep across her face to match Chelsea's own, but she smiled again
as she moved her silk-clad toes against Chelsea's slick, soft folds.
"You're right," she said "They do feel amazing."
Then there was no more need for talking.
