Finding Felix 2 Bob was outside the house, the first thing he noticed is he was bombarded with different smells. The house had smelled so bad he didn't notice other smells. Nice fresh air he thought as he took in a few deep breaths. He kinda wished he knew what the smells were. He figured he would have to smell everything he came across and match it up with the random smells in the air. He realized he had a lot to learn about being a fox, and he didn't have a whole lot of time, he felt a bit intimidated. He thought maybe he should find some other foxes, maybe they could help him, assuming they didn't beat the crap out of him. That brings up another problem, how do you even find other foxes, he rarely ever saw them as a human, they were supposedly common but where do they hang out. He knew you could call for them, but he didn't know how to do that. Maybe he would have to sniff them out. Once again he didn't know what a fox smelled like, another conundrum. Wait a minute dumbass, he was a fox himself, just sniff yourself. He proceeded to take a deep sniff of the fur on his back and tried to remember what it smelled like. He assumed other foxes would smell similar yet a bit different. He wandered into the forest. The trees were either void of any leaves or some had yellow leaves, damn color blindness confusing him again. It must be Autumn he guessed, It was probably pretty cold outside but he felt fairly comfortable in his fluffy warm fur. He walked around sniffing everything and everywhere while occasionally sniffing himself again to remember his fox smell. He had walked around for several minutes wondering if he was just wasting time. He found a small stream and wondered if he should take a drink, it was wild animal water. He was thirsty and stuck his tongue into the water, it wasn't too bad, a bit earthy tasting. Just as he finished drinking he smelled something, bingo, other foxes probably. He excitedly attempted to follow the scent trail, but as with most fox things he was pretty clunky at it. It was slow going at first but as he got closer the scent got more powerful. He saw something move in the distance, pretty sure they were foxes. Bob saw a group of somewhat small foxes, perhaps they were from the same litter. They didn't seem quite full sized yet. One of the foxes was looking at him. This strange fox started to walk up toward him. Bob was a bit frightened for a second, He didn't want any trouble. The fox didn't seem to be angry or anything and looked fairy friendly. The fox got up to him and sniffed his butt. This felt a bit embarrassing but he knew that was typical with canines of any sort. "Hi, haven't seen you around here before have I? My name is Felix". "I wasn't from here but I guess this is my new home now, my name is...". He thought quickly of a believable alias while looking at a tree with yellow leaves, he didn't want to confuse Felix. "My name is Autumn". That seemed kinda vixeny. "Just how old are you?" "I am almost a whole year old", Felix said. "You sure are cute, how old are you?" "Thanks", He had to come up with a little bullshit again, Felix wouldn't believe his actual age, "I am 2 years old". "What is that thing on your neck" Felix asked. "It is something that protects me from fleas and ticks among other things", Bob said. "It came from the humans didn't it?" Felix asked. "It did" Bob said. "My mom says we need to find mates soon if possible", Felix said. "Winter is coming soon and it sucks not to have someone to snuggle with when it gets cold". "Yeah I guess it does doesn't it?" Bob said. Bob was trying to make sense of this situation. Felix looked like a dog, technically he was a dog, a pretty cute one at that. He had a bit of an uncomfortable thought, since he was technically a vixen he could have kits, Though he still thought of himself as a male, he was a little curious what it was like to have kits, he had this thought more than a few times. He knew it was painful and gross and though unlikely he could die. Decisions decisions. It was a little bit of a long term decision too as once you mate with a fox they consider you their lifetime mate. He wouldn't just dump him after one year, that would be an asshole thing to do. He decided what the hell, he wasn't going to live forever anyway, might as well make it interesting. He just hoped he wasn't biting off way more than he could chew. He looked closer at Felix, he was very young obviously, his fur looked almost perfect. He wasn't old enough to look like a ragged old fox yet. He still had an air of innocence about him. "I guess I am looking for a mate too" Bob said. Felix got super exited and was wagging his tail. Bob could see Felix wanted to play. They both wrestled around for a bit, it felt a bit odd to Bob but he found he rather enjoyed it. After a few minutes they were both tired out. Bob lied down. He wondered what now. Felix dropped down next to him and started to groom his head using his teeth. Bob thought that was pretty nice and it made sense as he couldn't reach his own head. His head fur had been basically ignored since he became a fox. He would return the favor once his head was done. He wondered what foxes did for fun when they weren't screwing, which only happens for a few days each year. He figured in a couple months he would have some fox eggs on deck, what did that feel like, would he feel weird. He wondered about the mating process itself, obviously it was "unique" for canines, did it hurt? It couldn't hurt too bad as otherwise foxes would probably be extinct. He hoped Felix could teach him about fox stuff even though Felix was very inexperienced too.
