His and Megalon's old opponents and enemies. Who had stopped them from destroying the surface humans and defeated them in such humiliating fashions. And now they were here, standing before their old adversaries, but this time with no concerning intentions.\n\nSensing his mate's shock, Megalon hurried to explain. \"They were surprised to see me, too. They thought I was looking for another fight, but once I explained everything, they agreed to help us.\"\n\nGigan was still having trouble processing things. \"W-What?\" he stuttered.\n\n\"Jet and I will help defend Seatopia.\" said Godzilla. \"In case the Nebulans find you.\"\n\n\"But...why? Why would you want to help us, after we threatened humanity?\"\n\n\"We were suspicious at first. We thought Megalon was maybe luring Jet and I into a trap so we'd have to fight the two of you again. But when he brought up that you two were having babies...\"\n\nJet Jaguar gently rubbed his metal hand across Gigan's abdomen. \"When there's children involved, you feel obligated to help them, even if they're an enemy's.\" he said. \"And besides, our fight was a long time ago, and you guys haven't caused the humans any trouble since.\"\n\n\"So we decided to let bygones be bygones.\" Godzilla concluded. \"With the condition that you two didn't raise any more problems.\"\n\n\"I told them they could count on it.\" Megalon said to Gigan. \"Since we're gonna be parents, we won't have much time or reason for that, anyway.\"\n\nGigan smiled gratefully at Godzilla and Jet Jaguar. \"Thank you. I know this is a lot to ask-the Nebulans are very dangerous aliens-but we're so thankful for your help.\"\n\n\"Hey, I've taken down the Nebulans before, haven't I?\" Godzilla said, smirking. And then the four enemies-turned-friends were laughing.\n\nA few days passed. Godzilla and Jet Jaguar kept a tight look-out for the Nebulans every day, but Seatopia remained quiet and peaceful. The routine continued as normal, with no signs of danger, no foreshadowing of a Nebulan invasion.\n\nOne afternoon, Gigan was relaxing in a vast lake-it was more of a giant spring, really, warmed to a soothing temperature by underground magma. He contently sat back, the silky water almost reaching his neck, smiling as he felt the babies gently kick, completely at peace. The sweet silence was interrupted by rapidly-approaching footsteps.\n\n\"Come to join me, love?\" Gigan asked without opening his visor eyes.\n\n\"Gigan.\" Megalon spoke quickly and urgently. \"The Nebulans are here.\"\n\nAnd just like that, the feelings of peace and contentment were gone. Gigan's eyes shot open as fear locked him in its iron grip. The Nebulans, the cold, calculating aliens who used to be his people and now wanted him dead, were invading his new home, causing who-knew-what kind of devastation in their search for him. His mind turned to the people of Seatopia, who were getting caught up in the mayhem, and he could only hope that Godzilla and Jet Jaguar were keeping true to their allegiance.\n\nMegalon helped Gigan out of the spring, but his mate suddenly cried out in pain and clutched his abdomen.\n\n\"Oh no. M-Megalon,\" he gasped, \"th-the babies are c-coming...right now!\"\n\nNow the insectoid kaiju started to panic-this was the absolute worst time for Gigan to go into labor-but he forced his panic back down, staying supportive of his mate. \"Okay, let's go. We need to find a den somewhere so you can give birth.\"\n\n\"Why can't we just-nngh-go back to our...d-domain?\" Gigan asked.\n\n\"Because that's where they'll think to look for you. And we could run into them on our way there. We'll just have to find somewhere more hidden.\" Megalon's insectoid eyes scanned the terrain, and about twenty or so yards from the spring, he spotted a giant rock pile. He lead Gigan to it and burrowed underground, emerging from the pile a moment later, having hollowed it out into a cave big enough for the two of them and their upcoming babies. When Gigan was safely inside, Megalon used boulders to cover the entrance, then dug back inside.\n\n\"Alright, let's see how far you've dilated.\" Megalon said, spreading Gigan's legs apart. \"You've already reached two centimeters, so it shouldn't be long until you're ready to push.\"\n\n\"Megalon...the humans, hah...will the humans...b-be okay?\" said Gigan.\n\n\"I'm sure they will be. Godzilla and Jet will defend them. But let's focus on right now, love. You're having our babies.\"\n\nGigan smiled. \"Yeah. I really am.\" he said softly.\n\nThe cyborg kaiju's labor went on for another hour. He and his mate couldn't tell if the Nebulans were still in Seatopia or if Godzilla and Jet Jaguar had driven them away, and they had no way of knowing, but Gigan kept his pained groans from the contractions as quiet as possible, in case the deadly aliens were nearby. The pain was terrible and he couldn't imagine going through the brutal process of giving birth four times in a row. But he would do it-as much as the thought scared him, he would bring his and Megalon's children into the world.\n\nGigan stifled another groan as a particularly painful contraction hit him. \"Hah...how much l-longer, M-Megalon?\"\n\n\"Just hang on, love. It shouldn't be much longer now.\" Megalon assured him.\n\nFinally, the time came for Gigan to start pushing. He braced himself, knowing that the next few moments would be painful, and when the first contraction hit, he pushed hard. It hurt worse than he thought-it felt as though he were being ripped in half from the bottom up-and although they were still in hiding, he came very close to screaming out loud.\n\n\"Megalon, it...it hurts.\" he whimpered.\n\n\"I know it does, baby,\" Megalon gave Gigan a quick kiss on his cheek, \"but remember, you're doing this for our children. Don't give up on them.\"\n\nNot having any intention of giving up on their babies, Gigan kept pushing until, slowly and painfully, the first baby came out, making what sounded like a little insect buzz. Its skin was a light sandalwood brown streaked with gold. Running down its back were what looked like the bases of blades similar to Gigan's, it had an insectoid face with red eyes, a slit in its amber chest where a buzz saw would probably grow, tiny drill hands like Megalon's, and three toes that ended in blunt metal nubs.\n\n\"It's a girl.\" Megalon confirmed, cradling the newborn kaiju.\n\nGigan marveled at the sight of their firstborn child, but the pain in his stomach reminded him that he still had a way to go. Megalon placed the baby girl in one of the four little beds he had dug out of the earth and prepared to deliver the second baby.\n\n\"One down, three more to go.\" said Megalon. \"You did great with the first baby, just keep it up a little longer, sweetie, 'kay?\"\n\n\"O-Okay.\" Gigan whimpered. He took deep breaths in between pushes, and eventually birthed the second baby. This one made a more cybernetic sound upon being born. Its face more closely resembled Gigan's, with golden visor eyes, a tiny horn atop its head like Megalon's, olive green skin, brown beetle-like wings patterned with true green, dull metal hands that would sharpen to scythes, and feet that more resembled its father's.\n\n\"It's a boy.\" One girl and one boy, so far.\n\nGigan was overjoyed that their babies were arriving, but that joy kept getting crushed by the pain of the delivery. Each time it did, however, his mate encouraged him to keep going.\n\n\"You're halfway through, love. You just need to push out the other half and you're done.\"\n\nWhen the third baby-another boy-arrived, his head bore a single metal nub that would become either a long blade or possibly a metallic version of Megalon's horn, his face perfectly resembled Gigan's, he had light brown skin with bits of silver here and there, golden beetle wings, a darker brown plated stomach that would one day bare a saw, golden drill hands, and dull nubs of metal for feet.\n\nGigan could barely speak through heavy panting. \"I.....hah.....I'm so...hah...t-tired, Megalon...\"\n\n\"I know you are, hun, but just hang in there. You've already come this far, just one more to go.\" Megalon gave Gigan an encouraging kiss. \"One more time and you'll be done. You can do it.\"\n\nGathering what little strength he had left, Gigan pushed to deliver the final baby. He knew they were supposed to be hiding, but he couldn't stay silent any longer-with the last push, Gigan let out a loud groan of pain. Megalon would've reminded him to stay quiet, but right now that was of little concern to him, as he held his and Gigan's fourth and final child-another girl-in his immobile hands.\n\nThe little girl had more fleshy plates on her head and back than her siblings, a face closely resembling Megalon's, green-and-silver skin, gold nub hands, and insectoid feet.\n\n\"You're all done.\" Megalon said to Gigan. \"Good job, sweetie. You can rest now.\"\n\nGigan laid his head down with a heavy sigh. \"Finally...\" he murmured.\n\n\"I think I heard him over here.\"\n\nThe male voice came from outside the cave. Megalon didn't recognize it, but Gigan gasped in fear and cowered against the wall, cradling the babies.\n\n\"It's the Nebulans.\" he quietly confirmed.\n\nMegalon peeked outside through a tiny crack in the boulder cover. Two tiny figures stepped into his frame of vision-men in fancy suits, holding weapons that looked too small to harm a kaiju, but Gigan knew their true nature. They appeared to be human, but they were actually giant cockroaches disguised as deceased humans. Their backs were turned to the kaiju couple's cave as they searched the terrain. Gigan prayed to the heavens above that they wouldn't turn around and see them-he was too tired and too weak to fight, plus the babies would be put at risk.\n\n\"He's not here.\" said one of the Nebulans. \"Keep looking, he has to be nearby.\"\n\nJust then, one of the babies let out a small, robotic buzz. Gigan quickly hushed the newborn kaiju, but it was too late. The Nebulans whirled around and stared suspiciously up at the blocked cave, then fired strong beams of energy at the wall, destroying it and exposing the kaiju family. Megalon immediately moved to protect his boyfriend and children. The Nebulans set their chilling glare on Gigan.\n\n\"You were not supposed to escape.\" one said. \"Now we will put you down.\"\n\n\"Leave him alone!\" Megalon shouted angrily, jabbing his drill hand at them. The aliens dove out of the way just in time, and one of them raised his weapon to shoot at Megalon.\n\n\"No!\" Gigan cried out in protest.\n\nSuddenly, the ground next to the Nebulans was blasted by a beam of white-hot radiation. The aliens looked up at the newcomer, and their eyes widened with shock and fear. Megalon drilled off the cave ceiling, allowing him and his family a view as well. Gigan smiled with relief, while Megalon gave the Nebulans a knowing grin over his shoulder.\n\nGodzilla and Jet Jaguar had arrived, and the former had just blasted the Nebulans with a strong pulse of his atomic breath. Megalon and Gigan scooped up the babies, and the insectoid kaiju hid his mate and children behind their friends, then stood beside them, ready to defend his family. Gigan wasn't too steady on his feet, still weak from giving birth. For all of their sakes-especially the babies'-he hoped this confrontation would end quickly.\n\n\"Leave Seatopia.\" Godzilla said firmly. \"And leave Gigan and his family alone.\"\n\nThe four kaiju could see the Nebulans weakening-it didn't take much to intimidate when one stood before the King of the Monsters himself. They lowered their weapons, but didn't take their stare off Gigan.\n\n\"We'll let you live, today.\" one said. \"But we [i]will[/i] return.\"\n\nGodzilla, Jet Jaguar, and Megalon kept their eyes on the Nebulans as they fled, not looking away until they were gone from sight. The King then turned to the new parents.\n\n\"Are you guys okay?\" he asked.\n\n\"Yeah. We're okay.\" Megalon answered.\n\nGigan sighed with relief and exhaustion. \"I was so scared.\" he said. \"I was scared of what they were gonna do to me, to Megalon, to our babies.\"\n\n\"They're gone now, sweetie.\" Megalon said, giving his boyfriend a kiss. \"Now you can relax, for real this time.\"\n\nIt was only then that Godzilla and Jet Jaguar took notice of the babies and Gigan's tired state. \"You look exhausted.\" the latter said.\n\n\"Yeah? Try having four babies in a row, [i]and[/i] while trying to keep quiet so aliens who want you dead can't find you.\" Gigan meant to phrase it in a sullen but joking manner, but fatigue had sucked all the emotion out of his voice.\n\n\"You want us to hold the babies for you?\" Godzilla offered.\n\nGigan smiled weakly. \"Thanks. I'd like that a lot.\"\n\nGodzilla and Jet Jaguar carried the newborns while Gigan leaned on Megalon's shoulder as he helped him back to their domain. \"Congrats, by the way.\" Godzilla said to the couple.\n\n\"Thanks, guys.\" Megalon said. \"And thank you for defending the humans.\"\n\n\"No problem. They're your people, after all.\"\n\nDespite the surprise attack, it turned out that the Seatopians had held out against the Nebulans just fine. They rejoiced the babies arrival, and Megalon declared a celebration, during which he and Gigan would announce their names. But for right now, his mate needed to rest.\n\nAfter Godzilla and Jet Jaguar departed, Megalon dug out makeshift cribs in his and Gigan's domain for the babies. He watched his new little heirs doze, then turned toward his boyfriend, who had literally collapsed to the floor upon arriving back, instantly passing out. The insectoid kaiju leaned down close to the cyborg's unconscious face, smiling sweetly. He kissed his cheek ever-so-lightly so he wouldn't wake him.\n\n\"I love you.\" he whispered before returning to the babies. "So we decided to let bygones be bygones." Godzilla concluded. "With the condition that you two didn't raise any more problems."

"I told them they could count on it." Megalon said to Gigan. "Since we're gonna be parents, we won't have much time or reason for that, anyway."

Gigan smiled gratefully at Godzilla and Jet Jaguar. "Thank you. I know this is a lot to ask-the Nebulans are very dangerous aliens-but we're so thankful for your help."

"Hey, I've taken down the Nebulans before, haven't I?" Godzilla said, smirking. And then the four enemies-turned-friends were laughing.

A few days passed. Godzilla and Jet Jaguar kept a tight look-out for the Nebulans every day, but Seatopia remained quiet and peaceful. The routine continued as normal, with no signs of danger, no foreshadowing of a Nebulan invasion.

One afternoon, Gigan was relaxing in a vast lake-it was more of a giant spring, really, warmed to a soothing temperature by underground magma. He contently sat back, the silky water almost reaching his neck, smiling as he felt the babies gently kick, completely at peace. The sweet silence was interrupted by rapidly-approaching footsteps.

"Come to join me, love?" Gigan asked without opening his visor eyes.

"Gigan." Megalon spoke quickly and urgently. "The Nebulans are here."

And just like that, the feelings of peace and contentment were gone. Gigan's eyes shot open as fear locked him in its iron grip. The Nebulans, the cold, calculating aliens who used to be his people and now wanted him dead, were invading his new home, causing who-knew-what kind of devastation in their search for him. His mind turned to the people of Seatopia, who were getting caught up in the mayhem, and he could only hope that Godzilla and Jet Jaguar were keeping true to their allegiance.

Megalon helped Gigan out of the spring, but his mate suddenly cried out in pain and clutched his abdomen.

"Oh no. M-Megalon," he gasped, "th-the babies are c-coming...right now!"

Now the insectoid kaiju started to panic-this was the absolute worst time for Gigan to go into labor-but he forced his panic back down, staying supportive of his mate. "Okay, let's go. We need to find a den somewhere so you can give birth."

"Why can't we just-nngh-go back to our...d-domain?" Gigan asked.

"Because that's where they'll think to look for you. And we could run into them on our way there. We'll just have to find somewhere more hidden." Megalon's insectoid eyes scanned the terrain, and about twenty or so yards from the spring, he spotted a giant rock pile. He lead Gigan to it and burrowed underground, emerging from the pile a moment later, having hollowed it out into a cave big enough for the two of them and their upcoming babies. When Gigan was safely inside, Megalon used boulders to cover the entrance, then dug back inside.

"Alright, let's see how far you've dilated." Megalon said, spreading Gigan's legs apart. "You've already reached two centimeters, so it shouldn't be long until you're ready to push."

"Megalon...the humans, hah...will the humans...b-be okay?" said Gigan.

"I'm sure they will be. Godzilla and Jet will defend them. But let's focus on right now, love. You're having our babies."

Gigan smiled. "Yeah. I really am." he said softly.

The cyborg kaiju's labor went on for another hour. He and his mate couldn't tell if the Nebulans were still in Seatopia or if Godzilla and Jet Jaguar had driven them away, and they had no way of knowing, but Gigan kept his pained groans from the contractions as quiet as possible, in case the deadly aliens were nearby. The pain was terrible and he couldn't imagine going through the brutal process of giving birth four times in a row. But he would do it-as much as the thought scared him, he would bring his and Megalon's children into the world.

Gigan stifled another groan as a particularly painful contraction hit him. "Hah...how much l-longer, M-Megalon?"

"Just hang on, love. It shouldn't be much longer now." Megalon assured him.

Finally, the time came for Gigan to start pushing. He braced himself, knowing that the next few moments would be painful, and when the first contraction hit, he pushed hard. It hurt worse than he thought-it felt as though he were being ripped in half from the bottom up-and although they were still in hiding, he came very close to screaming out loud.

"Megalon, it...it hurts." he whimpered.

"I know it does, baby," Megalon gave Gigan a quick kiss on his cheek, "but remember, you're doing this for our children. Don't give up on them."

Not having any intention of giving up on their babies, Gigan kept pushing until, slowly and painfully, the first baby came out, making what sounded like a little insect buzz. Its skin was a light sandalwood brown streaked with gold. Running down its back were what looked like the bases of blades similar to Gigan's, it had an insectoid face with red eyes, a slit in its amber chest where a buzz saw would probably grow, tiny drill hands like Megalon's, and three toes that ended in blunt metal nubs.

"It's a girl." Megalon confirmed, cradling the newborn kaiju.

Gigan marveled at the sight of their firstborn child, but the pain in his stomach reminded him that he still had a way to go. Megalon placed the baby girl in one of the four little beds he had dug out of the earth and prepared to deliver the second baby.

"One down, three more to go." said Megalon. "You did great with the first baby, just keep it up a little longer, sweetie, 'kay?"

"O-Okay." Gigan whimpered. He took deep breaths in between pushes, and eventually birthed the second baby. This one made a more cybernetic sound upon being born. Its face more closely resembled Gigan's, with golden visor eyes, a tiny horn atop its head like Megalon's, olive green skin, brown beetle-like wings patterned with true green, dull metal hands that would sharpen to scythes, and feet that more resembled its father's.

"It's a boy." One girl and one boy, so far.

Gigan was overjoyed that their babies were arriving, but that joy kept getting crushed by the pain of the delivery. Each time it did, however, his mate encouraged him to keep going.

"You're halfway through, love. You just need to push out the other half and you're done."

When the third baby-another boy-arrived, his head bore a single metal nub that would become either a long blade or possibly a metallic version of Megalon's horn, his face perfectly resembled Gigan's, he had light brown skin with bits of silver here and there, golden beetle wings, a darker brown plated stomach that would one day bare a saw, golden drill hands, and dull nubs of metal for feet.

Gigan could barely speak through heavy panting. "I.....hah.....I'm so...hah...t-tired, Megalon..."

"I know you are, hun, but just hang in there. You've already come this far, just one more to go." Megalon gave Gigan an encouraging kiss. "One more time and you'll be done. You can do it."

Gathering what little strength he had left, Gigan pushed to deliver the final baby. He knew they were supposed to be hiding, but he couldn't stay silent any longer-with the last push, Gigan let out a loud groan of pain. Megalon would've reminded him to stay quiet, but right now that was of little concern to him, as he held his and Gigan's fourth and final child-another girl-in his immobile hands.

The little girl had more fleshy plates on her head and back than her siblings, a face closely resembling Megalon's, green-and-silver skin, gold nub hands, and insectoid feet.

"You're all done." Megalon said to Gigan. "Good job, sweetie. You can rest now."

Gigan laid his head down with a heavy sigh. "Finally..." he murmured.

"I think I heard him over here."

The male voice came from outside the cave. Megalon didn't recognize it, but Gigan gasped in fear and cowered against the wall, cradling the babies.

"It's the Nebulans." he quietly confirmed.

Megalon peeked outside through a tiny crack in the boulder cover. Two tiny figures stepped into his frame of vision-men in fancy suits, holding weapons that looked too small to harm a kaiju, but Gigan knew their true nature. They appeared to be human, but they were actually giant cockroaches disguised as deceased humans. Their backs were turned to the kaiju couple's cave as they searched the terrain. Gigan prayed to the heavens above that they wouldn't turn around and see them-he was too tired and too weak to fight, plus the babies would be put at risk.

"He's not here." said one of the Nebulans. "Keep looking, he has to be nearby."

Just then, one of the babies let out a small, robotic buzz. Gigan quickly hushed the newborn kaiju, but it was too late. The Nebulans whirled around and stared suspiciously up at the blocked cave, then fired strong beams of energy at the wall, destroying it and exposing the kaiju family. Megalon immediately moved to protect his boyfriend and children. The Nebulans set their chilling glare on Gigan.

"You were not supposed to escape." one said. "Now we will put you down."

"Leave him alone!" Megalon shouted angrily, jabbing his drill hand at them. The aliens dove out of the way just in time, and one of them raised his weapon to shoot at Megalon.

"No!" Gigan cried out in protest.

Suddenly, the ground next to the Nebulans was blasted by a beam of white-hot radiation. The aliens looked up at the newcomer, and their eyes widened with shock and fear. Megalon drilled off the cave ceiling, allowing him and his family a view as well. Gigan smiled with relief, while Megalon gave the Nebulans a knowing grin over his shoulder.

Godzilla and Jet Jaguar had arrived, and the former had just blasted the Nebulans with a strong pulse of his atomic breath. Megalon and Gigan scooped up the babies, and the insectoid kaiju hid his mate and children behind their friends, then stood beside them, ready to defend his family. Gigan wasn't too steady on his feet, still weak from giving birth. For all of their sakes-especially the babies'-he hoped this confrontation would end quickly.

"Leave Seatopia." Godzilla said firmly. "And leave Gigan and his family alone."

The four kaiju could see the Nebulans weakening-it didn't take much to intimidate when one stood before the King of the Monsters himself. They lowered their weapons, but didn't take their stare off Gigan.

"We'll let you live, today." one said. "But we will return."

Godzilla, Jet Jaguar, and Megalon kept their eyes on the Nebulans as they fled, not looking away until they were gone from sight. The King then turned to the new parents.

"Are you guys okay?" he asked.

"Yeah. We're okay." Megalon answered.

Gigan sighed with relief and exhaustion. "I was so scared." he said. "I was scared of what they were gonna do to me, to Megalon, to our babies."

"They're gone now, sweetie." Megalon said, giving his boyfriend a kiss. "Now you can relax, for real this time."

It was only then that Godzilla and Jet Jaguar took notice of the babies and Gigan's tired state. "You look exhausted." the latter said.

"Yeah? Try having four babies in a row, and while trying to keep quiet so aliens who want you dead can't find you." Gigan meant to phrase it in a sullen but joking manner, but fatigue had sucked all the emotion out of his voice.

"You want us to hold the babies for you?" Godzilla offered.

Gigan smiled weakly. "Thanks. I'd like that a lot."

Godzilla and Jet Jaguar carried the newborns while Gigan leaned on Megalon's shoulder as he helped him back to their domain. "Congrats, by the way." Godzilla said to the couple.

"Thanks, guys." Megalon said. "And thank you for defending the humans."

"No problem. They're your people, after all."

Despite the surprise attack, it turned out that the Seatopians had held out against the Nebulans just fine. They rejoiced the babies arrival, and Megalon declared a celebration, during which he and Gigan would announce their names. But for right now, his mate needed to rest.

After Godzilla and Jet Jaguar departed, Megalon dug out makeshift cribs in his and Gigan's domain for the babies. He watched his new little heirs doze, then turned toward his boyfriend, who had literally collapsed to the floor upon arriving back, instantly passing out. The insectoid kaiju leaned down close to the cyborg's unconscious face, smiling sweetly. He kissed his cheek ever-so-lightly so he wouldn't wake him.

"I love you." he whispered before returning to the babies.
