4 - Bracelet Heist

She embraced him and she looked into her jackalope gray eyes tears streaming down her face as the shadow approached.

"Mamma always loves you. Do you hear? Mamma always" She shook him and embraced him and fell forward to him but not into a hug. He felt a splatter and trickle of water on him. He felt his forehead and found it was thick. He looked at it. His little mind couldn't wrap around the fact that it was his mother's blood. He shook her and his paw came in contact with a shod pole object sticking out of her back.

"Mmm mammma" He cried and clutched her but her body slumped before him and then was wrenched up. He saw highlighted in the gloom of fog and night the pants and the hands, white pale skinned and one clutching the wooden spear with his mom slumped over it. He screamed the rabbit scream and the other human hand shot out at him and he dodged. the feet and hands came toward him and he turned around with burning fear and bolted far. He ran and ran until he could not run anymore and collapsed.
