(Captain) Caolan Joshua O'Zara

Born on the 28th of December, 375, 2nd Era. He's had an interesting childhood to say the least, at the age of two his father, only known as Joshua, took Caolan and himself to the tiny village of Six Castles using his ship, the Bombay. After befriending its mayor, Wrynn O'Zara and buying the local inn and renaming it The Daggervolf he suddenly fled, leaving both the Bombay and the baby Caolan under the protection of Wrynn. Because Joshua had never told Wrynn his last name Caolan inherited Wrynn's last name, O'Zara as Wrynn quickly became Caolan's de facto father.
The Daggervolf, now Caolan's property and under the ownership of Wrynn until Caolan came of age to run it himself was run by Wrynn for eleven years, until Caolan was thirteen, where Wrynn taught Caolan how to run it himself (With Wrynn's help of course) In July of 389 a twelve year old otter named Arkani arrived in Six Castles, he had been sent away from his homeland of the Luna Tundra by his parents for seemingly no reason and had wound up in Six Castles, after living on the streets for a few days he was noticed by Caolan, who was ecstatic to see someone else his age in Six Castles. After quickly becoming friends Arkani started to replace Wrynn when it came to running the Daggervolf with Caolan, after a few months Wrynn didn't even have to be at the Daggervolf anymore, though he did make sure to keep a close eye on them.
Twelve days after Caolan's fourteenth birthday, on Arkani's thirteenth birthday on the 9th of January 390 Caolan hatched a plan to leave Six Castles and take himself and Arkani to the Luna Tundra so he could see his parents, though it didn't go nearly as smooth as Caolan wanted it to. Born on the 9th of January, 377, 2nd Era, In the capital of the Luna Tundra Arkani has had a relatively uneventful childhood. The four great walls of the Luna Tundra have kept the capital safe from invasion since before the 2nd Era, including from the Hotechu Empire, which has never managed to invade the Tundra even once.
Because of this, it seemed to make no sense when Arkani's parents essentially kicked him out of the Luna Tundra in July of 389 and sent him to the Zanachi Kingdom which was (and still is) in the middle of being invaded by the Hotechu Empire. Regardless as to why Arkani's parents did what they did Arkani ended up in Six Castles and has made good friends with both Caolan and Wrynn.
Arkani met Caolan after Caolan found him sitting down in the streets of Six Castles, his clothes dirty and covered somewhat in mud, after Caolan took him to get cleaned up in his shower (a bucket of water attached to a rope) the two quickly became friends, Caolan introduced Arkani to Wrynn as well who also became a friend of his quickly, Caolan also took Arkani on as a kind of co-owner of his inn, the Daggervolf, and after a few months of learning he and Caolan started to run the inn efficiently by themselves, without Wrynn's help.
Arkani discovered that he was magic when he and Caolan were standing on the main deck of Caolan's ship, the Bombay, Arkani was waving his arms around childishly when a small bolt of fire suddenly erupted from his hand, lighting the deck of the Bombay on fire, luckily Caolan and Arkani were able to scoop up enough water from the sea to put out the blaze, Caolan and Arkani vowed never to speak of what happened that night to anyone, as they both knew if Wrynn found out that they'd nearly sunk the Bombay they would both probably be in for a night of cleaning the town hall perfectly clean.
On Arkani's thirteenth birthday on the 9th of January 390 he was gifted a wand by Wrynn and the people of Six Castles, while Caolan gifted him Joshua's Tome Of Restoration, a valuable book that contains detailed magical instructions and diagrams for casting restoration magic, Caolan also told Arkani of his plan for them to visit the Luna Tundra using the Bombay, which Arkani was very hesitant of.
