Xan and Lotus, exhausted from a long day of work, were sleeping together in their bed. Since it was a very hot night, they both went naked and decided not to sleep while covered with the bed sheet just to take full advantage of the AC that was running in the room. Although it was a bit noisy, it didn't bother them, although they would have wished it would have been on that specific night.
During the night, an intruder managed to sneak into the apartment and went to their bedroom. With the help of the noise the AC has been doing, he was able to approach the bed without waking them up. The stranger then quickly took out his handgun equipped with a suppressor from his holster and shot them once each, both oftheir heads. Completely unaware of the situation, the only reaction they had was a quick whimper of pain and one last exhale of air from their lungs before they became completely inert.
The stranger inspected the couple to ensure they are actually dead and confirmed they didn't have any exit wounds, thanks to the weapon he used to do the deed. Satisfied of the result, he took out his cell phone to place a phone call.

After he hung up, he began searching the apartment for documents and data he has been asked to retrieve. The couple in question were secretly investigating an organisation regarding shady businesses. As they weren't aware they weren't careful enough to cover their tracks, the organisation's leaders got word of their activities and ordered a hit on them in response. Now that he has finally found the information he needed, he waited for two of his partners to arrive shortly afterward, large bags in hand.
"Just in time. I haven't heard any noise from the neighbors, but let's be careful for their retrieval".
Without wasting any time, his partners went to the bedroom to pick up the lifeless bodies and put them into the bags, then all three left the apartment building so they can deliver their package to a secret location for disposal.
