The year it takes place uses a different identifier then Anno Domini (AD) both for the purposes of applying the game to a timeline in which AD is no longer used, but Also to leaves open questions of when AD became EE. *EE stands for Exodus Expansion*\n\nLORE: The structure of Amon III is that of not one but three galaxies combining, However unlike most galactic mergers where over time each accretion disc merges into a single whole, Amon III’s has remained merged like this for many billions of years (beyond the time it would take a normal galactic merger to align each disc into a single whole). Why the galaxy has remained stable in this structure for all that time is beyond the understanding of scientists, all attempts to discern the collective structure of the combined galactic cores from the outside have proven impossible as no readings, no radiation seems to be emitting from the inner core. All that can be view visually is an intense bright light. In the year 2105 E.E., scientists from the Capsule tech systems ventured into the galactic core to attempt to study the strange light and the inner workings of the galactic core. Many attempted exploration parties sent, but none returned. After years of attempts and hundreds of lost lives, the human governments erected a forbidden zone around the core making any attempts to discover it’s secrets or retrieval of the lost parties a criminal offense. Science, and it’s institutions turned a blind eye to the mysteries believing them better left unsolved. This however did not stop adventurers and privateers from attempting to venture into the core, wild speculation arose from theories to downright legends of what awaited within the galactic core. Feeling their laws were being ignored the human governments erected a Exclusion zone around the clusters of the galactic arms that met at the core, turning the area between the forbidden zone and exclusion zone into a pirate, criminal paradise. This Dead zone was set up as a lawless sector of space which the human governments would not cross, the protections of the dominion and laws governing it ending at the outskirts of the exclusion zone.\n\nWhile most colonists are content to explore the free zones of the galactic arms, and being under the protection of the human dominion government (usually).
