But that was not all...\n\nShe was forced to gestate a massive dragon child, the egg having hatched inside her belly, but the baby did not want to be born. He resides inside her, feeding off of her body. She used her power of witchcraft to channel energy from the land to feed the baby and keep him sated so that she was not consumed from the inside out. The roots of the tree drain massive energy from the surrounding area causing rot and mutations. All of this is to feed her unborn offspring, sapping the peninsula of its life-force.\n\nIn order to sate her son, the peoples of Elos bring her offerings of food and sustenance to keep her nourished and therefore the baby inside is also happy and fed, preventing her from having to sap their land. Xalja can do little but wait as the child grows inside her day after day. She desperately wants it to be born, but she also knows that when this child of calamity is born the people will know no safety.
