Surly: The Black Smoke Hallway. A long hall of doors made of smoke. A dark sky of purple. This was once my home. [Long Pause.] And now... a visitor arrives.

Ferros: Ah! Fuck! I can't believe I didn't grab it. All my records are lost forever!

Nuke: [Distorted/timejumps.] Don't be so sure of that, Ferros. After all, is not your ultimate accomplishment its own reward?

Ferros: [Whiney.] Well I guess so, if you think about it that way. Whatever. [Comes out of it.] Hey... Nuke... Are you... alright? You look all... tracey.

Nuke: [Distored/timejumps.] <Grunts of discomfort.> I feel... out of synch... like something is weighing me down.

Ferros: That's strange. I didn't have any temporal distortion coming to /your/ universe.

Nuke: [Distorted/timejumps.] It's my quintessence. It's denser than it should be. Let me just... [Distortion stops.] There. I think that's stopped it. Hmm. [Pause.] I'm not as heavy as I was. No more stomping around.
