Precise; that's what the other children and adults came to know Duck as from the time she could walk. Not one to even think of ignoring the small details, her acorn eyes observe all from a safe distance and allow her the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others. While this has made her somewhat of a prodigy when it comes to snapping up trout as though she were a bear, the high expectations and pressures that others have put on her have resulted in her tending to tune out what others have to say.
Absent-minded and often lost in thought, she gives the impression of a pup who has much lower intelligence, even if not purposefully. Her focus is immaculate and once all small details have been analyzed and considered, a case of tunnel vision can quickly take over her senses and prevent her from harnessing the ability to improvise when her plans go wrong. Until now, the worst consequence of this downfall has been losing what would have been her biggest catch.
Now, the consequences of failure are much higher.
Her mother and the mother of District 8's tribute have been long-time friends, frequently trading fish for pelts and chatting the long work hours away. The mothers, who were excited to see the arrival of their pups safely into the world and allow them to meet one another someday, now find themselves sending their pups to meet for the very first time in unexpected circumstances after both were chosen as tributes.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me and
Girlfriend were selected to participate in the second annual Pupper Games on Wolvden! This was the puppy I chose from the litter who was bred and born for the games. She sadly only lasted a couple of days and died with her counterpart,
Girlfriend's puppy tribute Uncooked Poultry.
For those who don't know, Wolvden is a free to play browser based survival and genetics sim game that replicates pack life as a wild wolf with sapience, and has a heavy lean towards roleplaying and lore based expansion.
The Pupper Games is a forum game where, inspired by The Hunger Games, users each submit a puppy and starve them until there's only one puppy remaining as the victor. It features a lot of rich flavor text from the game master who composes interpersonal relationships between the pups and how they succeed and struggle.
This was also my very first attempt at a painted background since I don't like to line them!
