Travis looked between Bobby and Gideon with a flustered look on his face. “I’m not sure why it took me this long to realize you were talking about me...” As the two sat back down, Bobby spoke up. “Well, the truth is, I think I’ve been in love with you for a while now, but I only realized it once I moved in. I started to realize that I loved being around you as much as I loved being around Gid.” “And, honestly, Travis, I’ve been in love with ya fer years, but ah guess ah just... didn’t dare ta say so. Ah mean... Five years ago, it was Bobby tellin’ me he was worried he was gonna lose his ability ta see me after that wish he made that clued me in that he was in love with me. Ah probably wouldn’t have approached him about it otherwise.” Bobby looked at the fox. “To be fair, Gid, I was also thirteen years old at the time. Yes, I knew the age thing isn’t a big deal to anyone in the Zoo, but saying you’re in love with a thirteen-year-old is another story,” Bobby responded. He then turned back to Travis. “Travis, what I said to you earlier was true. After I moved in, and I realized I was in love with you, the reason I never said it was because I thought you’d feel like it would mess things up between Gid and me. That’s why I chose, instead, to just start getting affectionate with you. It’s why I was trying to get you to open up more about things I knew you wanted to tell me but were afraid to.” Travis sighed. “Well... To be honest, you were both right. I... I’m in love with you both too. THAT’S the real reason I’ve never gone out and tried to find anyone. When I told you that I was happy just having you and Gid, that... Well, I guess that was my way of trying to say it but being afraid to say it.” Gideon reached over and took one of Travis’ paws. “Let me set somethin’ straight, alright?” “Okay,” was all Travis said as he looked at Gideon. “You bein’ a part of our relationship isn’t goin’ ta mess anythin’ up. In fact, ah think it’ll make it better.” Travis gave Gideon a confused look. “Better? How so?” “Think about it. Ya just admitted yer in love with the two of us too. We’re already really close as it is, and, even before this came out, we were always bein’ affectionate with each other anyway, right?” “Yeah,” Travis nodded. “So if I’m with Bobby, but we leave ya outta that, fully knowin’ we all WANT ta be together as mates, all that’s gonna do is make things weird. Yeah, we’ll still be affectionate and lovin’ ta each other, but there’s always gonna be that part of ya that’ll be sad ya aren’t part of the relationship, and we would feel sad knowin’ we want ya ta be a part of it, but yer denyin’ yerself that love.” “That... makes sense,” the ferret said. “Is he wrong,” Bobby asked. Travis remained quiet for several seconds before answering. “No.” “Alright, so this comes down ta one question then,” Gideon told him. Before Gideon could even ask, Travis spoke up. “Yes. The answer is yes.” “Yer sure about that,” Gideon asked. “Yeah. You guys are right. I’d feel weird if I denied myself the relationship based on something you’ve already told me isn’t an issue,” the ferret told him. “I love you guys... No... I’m IN LOVE with you guys. Would you allow me to be... I mean... Can I call you my...” “The answer is yes,” Bobby said, kissing the ferret on the cheek. “You can be our mate too. I would love to be able to officially call you mine, and I know Gid feels the same.” “Yer darn right, I do,” Gideon said, kissing Travis’ other cheek. “We’re keepin’ ya.” Travis squirmed in his seat, blushing and looking quite flustered, but smiled. “Thank you.” After that, Bobby and Travis resumed eating their food. Gideon got himself a drink as well, and the three of them chatted about where they thought their relationship would go from there. Throughout the entire chat, the smile never left any of their faces. They eventually made their way back home. As they were getting ready for bed, Travis made his way toward his room, only to get stopped by Gideon. “Where do ya think yer goin’?” “Uhh... to my bed,” Travis said with a curious look on his face. “Not tonight, yer not,” the fox commented. Before the ferret could protest, the fox grabbed him by the paw and pulled him toward his room, where Bobby sat on the edge of the bed in his pajamas with a smile. “Come here,” Bobby told the ferret, gesturing toward the bed. Travis blushed and shifted on his feet for a moment, but then complied, walking over to the bed and sitting down beside him. “Yeah?” Bobby put his arm around the ferret, pulling him close. “You’re sleeping with us tonight... And don’t even try to say no, because you know Gid’s bed is big enough.” Travis blushed. “I’d like that.” “I’m glad,” Bobby said as he gave Travis a quick kiss. He then shifted around on the bed so he was laying down and patted the spot beside him. Travis immediately readjusted himself and laid down beside him. Gideon then climbed in as well. “There we go. Now yer surrounded by both of the guys ya love.” Travis nodded. “Mmhmm.” “We love you, Travis. Don’t you ever forget that,” Bobby told him. “Oh, I don’t think I ever will,” Travis said as he felt the other two cuddling him. Bobby and Gideon both kissed Travis one more time, with Travis kissing them both back in return. The three of them then cuddled together before eventually falling asleep. A few hours later, Bobby awoke. It was around midnight as he did. Being as careful as he could, he slowly got out of the bed and tiptoed over to the dresser he now shared with Gideon, grabbing his necklace and slipping it on over his head and grabbing his cell phone as well, before slowly walking out of his room and into the living room area. Just as he was about to pull up the contact list on his cell phone to send someone a message, he received a message from the fur he was intending to send one to. “Are you awake yet,” the message said, coming from Tidus. “Yeah, just got up a couple of minutes ago,” Bobby texted back. “So... Who are you giving a gift to this time,” Tidus asked. “Ignoring the fact that I didn’t even say that’s why I wanted you to message me tonight... This time, it’s for Travis.” “Ah... Should have guessed that. Theo says he overheard you and Gideon talking about making him part of your relationship. Congratulations, by the way.” Bobby laughed softly to himself before replying. “Mahalo. Anyway, yeah... I wanna do something for him.” “Did you need me to walk you through what to do again?” “No, I still remember what to do. I did want to talk to you about the necklace, though. It’d probably be faster on a call, though. Is that okay?” “Sure.” Bobby then called Tidus directly. It only rang once before the hose picked up. “I’m here. So what did you want to ask me about?” As the porcupine spoke, he did his best to stay as quiet as he could. “I’ve figured something out. I know why you gave me the necklace.” “Oh? You’re sure?” The porcupine immediately replied. “Almost positive. Tidus... do you and Theo trust me THAT much?” “What do you mean, Bobby?” The porcupine chuckled. “No point in playing dumb, Tidus. I thought about it and realized that, from the moment you gave it to me, the necklace was already full of magic. Maybe not a lot of it, but I know the magic in here isn’t just being added in when I ask for a favor.” “I’m not going to lie, Bobby. You’re correct. How did you figure it out?” “Originally, I thought you were just able to put the magic into the necklace whenever I needed it because it was yours, so I thought you could tie your magic to it regardless of the distance. When I asked you about putting more magic into the necklace to make it so I could cure Mom though, you told me you couldn’t. At the time I didn’t think about it, but, while I was sitting here tonight, I realized something. You never actually said you were putting magic in it when I asked for help with Dad and Stu’s gift. That meant the magic I used was already inside the necklace, to begin with.” Tidus replied. “So far, your logic is accurate.” “Then, I wondered why you said I couldn’t use it to help Mom... Before you told me you had cured her, I mean. I realized I had the answer to that already too. You’ve made it pretty clear that stronger spells require a lot more magic and energy. Well, in your case, you and Theo were BORN with the magic, so you can use as much or as little as you need. All you did with me was put a certain amount into it before you gave it to me.” “Correct again,” Tidus told him. “So... this entire time, I’ve been walking around with a necklace that held the magic I could have used whenever, wherever and however I wanted. A limited amount of it, yes, but it was magic given to me that you would not have been able to control how it was used.” “Right.” “So... Going back to my question. Do you guys seriously trust me that much, that you’d put your magic in my paws?” As Bobby asked this, he took the paw on the necklace in between his fingers. “If we didn’t, you wouldn’t be wearing that necklace, Bobby,” Tidus told him. “We did this as a test. A test we knew well ahead of time that you’d pass.” “A test? What do you mean?” The porcupine had a confused look on his face, despite the fact Tidus couldn’t see it. “Bobby, who did you use the magic on the first time you used it,” the horse asked. “Dad and Stu,” Bobby replied. “And who did you intend to use it on after that,” Tidus continued. “Mom...” “And who is it you’re wanting to use it on now?” “Travis...” Bobby told him. “Do you see where I’m going with this yet?” Bobby was quiet for several moments before it clicked. “You did it because you knew I wouldn’t use the magic on myself. You knew I wouldn’t be selfish with the power you gave me.” “Bingo,” Tidus told him. “Bobby, in five years, we’ve seen, over and over, that you love helping others. Theo and I gave it to you because we knew that, if there was anyone we could trust not to abuse it, it was you.” Bobby was quiet for several moments as he ran his fingers over the paw on the necklace. “That means a lot to me, Tidus. It really does.” “I know... We trust you, Bobby. We have for many years. Neither of us has any reason to believe you’ll betray that trust.” Tidus told him. “Now, go do whatever you were going to do for Travis. I don’t need to know the details. What you do with your mate is between you three. Besides, I’m sure I’ll find out on my own soon enough.” Bobby gave a quiet laugh. “I’ll do that. Good night, Tidus.” “Good night, Bobby.” Bobby quietly hung up his cell phone and tiptoed back into the bedroom where the other two were still sound asleep. He put his phone aside, then made his way over to his side of the bed, very slowly climbing back into it. He reached up and rubbed the paw on the necklace. “Travis is always so sweet. Even his nervous side makes me smile. Today, he confirmed that he thought verbalizing the fact he was in love would mess things up between us, but I want to show him that I’m glad he faced that fear. Five years ago, he showed me a picture of how he sees himself inside the Zoo. If Travis has truly accepted the relationship, and if he would genuinely enjoy a surprise from his Master without me asking him directly beforehand, allow me the ability to help make that picture a reality.” Bobby stayed perfectly still until he felt the wind coming off of the paw. Once he had, he rolled onto his side, facing the ferret, who was laying on his back, with the only sound coming from him being his quiet breathing. After watching him for several seconds, Bobby reached over and, very carefully, slid his paw up Travis’ pajama shirt resting it on the ferret’s belly. Travis, however, was not asleep. The moment Bobby’s paw touched his belly, he spoke up softly. “Mmm... that feels nice.” Bobby’s eyes grew, hearing Travis, but that didn’t deter him from what he was planning. “Shh... don’t wake Gid.” Travis just nodded as he felt Bobby gently rubbing his belly. “Mmm...” “Travis,” Bobby whispered. “I want you to know... What I said earlier... All of it was the truth. I’m in love with you just as much as I am with Gid, and I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to finally say it.” As he spoke, he kept rubbing. The ferret murred, feeling himself slowly getting aroused from the rubbing. “I’m just as much to blame... As I said, I was worried I was gonna mess things up between you two. It was stupid... Mmrr...” Bobby shook his head. “You’re not stupid, Travis. You’re very smart. Very sweet and loving too. I’ve seen proof of it many times. And I wanted to thank you... For letting me take you as a mate. I’m... kinda glad no one else got to you before we did.” He continued rubbing. A smile formed on his face when he saw Travis needed to shift his position in bed. “You okay?” “Yeah... I just... needed to readjust myself. Something feels...” “Weird? I know,” Bobby said as he kept rubbing. “I’m the reason for that, Travis. Like I said... I wanted to thank you for letting me make the sweetest ferret in Bunnyburrow mine.” “What... what are you... mmmff... doing?” “You know exactly what I’m doing, Travis. It’s something you’ve only ever been able to enjoy in the Zoo...” The ferret’s eyes grew. “But... How are you doing that? I didn’t know you had magic too.” “I’ll explain later. It feels good though, yeah?” Travis had to bite his lip to keep from getting too loud. “Y... yeah... Bobby...” “I want to ask you a bit of a silly question. What’s your favorite sport,” the porcupine asked, though he never stopped rubbing. “Mrf,” the ferret murred softly as he felt himself growing. “My... favorite sport? Why are you ask...” He stopped when he caught on to why he was being asked. “B... Baseball...” “Guess you weren’t kidding about that one picture you showed me all those years ago, hm?” Travis just blushed and shook his head, letting out another soft moan. “B... Bobby...” “Shh... Just focus on how much you’re enjoying it, Travis,” the porcupine said. “O... Okay... b... but... Bobby? I mean... Master? Put your paw lower... please,” the ferret whimpered. “You got it... Might make them grow a bit faster though,” Bobby said as he moved his paw to Travis’ testicles. “I don’t ca...aah...” Travis moaned, biting his lip. His sac and testicles did indeed grow a bit faster. “Ohhh... god...” “Want me to stop,” Bobby asked. “No... But... lemme do something before you continue,” he whimpered. He pulled his cock and sac free of his pajama pants and underwear before nodding to Bobby to continue. His cock became fully erect quickly after it was freed, and Bobby placed his paw upon the ferret’s growing sac. “G... Go ahead,” Travis moaned out, feeling his testicles start to grow once more. “Aah...” “You gonna cum,” Bobby asked. “N... not yet,” Travis asked. “Let’s change that,” came the voice of their fox lover. He didn’t say another word, but took Travis’ length in his paw and started stroking it. “S...sorry for waking y... aaah...” “Hush... just enjoy,” Gideon said, giving the ferret a quick kiss. “And by the way...” Gideon reached down and lightly groped Travis. “Ah’m lookin’ forward ta seein’ what ya look like when ya finish growin’.” With that, he resumed stroking, with Bobby continuing to make the ferret’s orbs grow. “M... Master? It feels so good,” Travis stammered out, his cock oozing a heavy stream of precum now as his sac continued to grow. “Mmhmm,” both the porcupine and fox said in unison as Bobby kept rubbing and Gideon kept stroking. Travis started thrusting upward into Gideon’s paw. As he did, he moaned out, feeling his sac growing a bit more. His testicles were already almost the size of tennis balls, at this point, and he knew he wasn’t going to last much longer. “I’m... I’m c-close...” “Good,” Gideon commented. “Cum fer us, Travis. Good and hard.” “Make a mess for me, Travis. Let’s see what effect my doing this has had on you,” Bobby commented. “M... Master, I’m gonna... gonna... Aaaah!” Travis twitched and spasmed as he thrust upward one final time, cumming so hard he hit the chest of his pajama shirt, coating Gideon’s paw as well. Even when Gideon stopped stroking him, his cock gave a couple of smaller shots of cum. The fox backed off after that, looking at Travis with a smirk. “Feel better?” “Y... Yeah... Much better....” After Travis caught his breath, he looked down toward his crotch. His testicles and sac grew a tiny bit more before he saw Bobby pull his paw away. “Good,” Bobby replied. Travis nodded then reached down to rub his sac. As he rubbed them, he gave a quiet murr before eventually pulling his paw back and looking at Bobby. “How were you able to do that outside of the Zoo?” Bobby pointed at his necklace. “Remember me telling you guys that Tidus and Theo gave me this, but they wouldn’t fully explain why? Well, I did some thinking when Gid went to get you so you could join us tonight, and I realized why. This necklace isn’t just something Tidus and Theo can put magic into when I want to do something for someone. It’s something they gave me with magic already stored in it. This was given to me because of the trust they had in me that I wouldn’t misuse the magic or use it for selfish purposes. I can use the magic in this to do things, even if I’m outside of the Zoo.” “Ah couldn’t think of anyone more deservin’ of the privilege,” Gideon commented. “Me either,” Travis added. “But... Why did you decide you wanted to use it on me?” “As I said, I wanted to thank you for letting me take you as a mate,” Bobby told him. “I’m glad we can call you ours now.” “You didn’t ask me if it was okay first, though,” Travis pointed out. “Because you and I both know that you didn’t want me to ask. You like it when I take control,” Bobby commented. “Besides, even if you had been asleep, which had been my original plan, I would not have been able to make the change unless it was something that you would have been okay with me doing without directly asking you first. I prepared the magic with your desires in mind.” Travis blushed. “I... I’ve been thinking about it for a long time.” “Oh, I know. To be honest, I figured that out back the day we first met. When you showed me that picture of you with a larger sac. I had asked if it was an accurate self-portrait, and you said, very clearly, that, inside of the Zoo, it was.” “Well, as you found out, I can’t make myself that way just because I want it. That’s selfish, so the magic doesn’t let me. It would have been more accurate to say that was how I viewed myself there.” Bobby nodded. “I knew what you meant at the time, Travis, The point was, I knew it was something you wanted. And now, you’ve got it.” The porcupine reached down and rubbed the ferret’s sac gently. “You’re gonna have to get used to walking around with a bigger sac now, though.” “Mmm... I know,” Travis replied, blushing. “It feels really good though.” “I bet.” Right then, a chime went off on Bobby’s cell phone. Raising a brow, Bobby reached over to the nightstand nearby and grabbed it. He looked at the screen to see another message from Tidus. “It’s on his bed,” was all that was typed there. The porcupine laughed. “What’s so funny, hun,” Gideon asked. “Tidus just sent over one of the same bags I gave Michael when I helped make him bigger.” Travis smiled. “That’s gonna be useful.” “Considering I don’t think you’d be able to pull your underwear back up over your crotch right now without it, yeah, I’m sure it will.” “Speakin’ of which...” Gideon readjusted himself so he could pull Travis’ pajama pants and underwear off the rest of the way. “Since ya can’t pull ‘em up, ah might as well pull ‘em off ya.” Travis nodded as the fox did this. Once he had, Gideon then reached over and gave the ferret’s larger sac a rub. “Gotta admit, Travis. Ya look good like this.” “I agree,” Bobby commented. “Mrrrf... Thanks.” “Think you’re gonna be able to go to sleep like this,” Bobby asked. “Yeah, I’ll be able to. I’ve had naps in the Zoo with Gideon inside me while my package was bigger, kinda like you used to do,” the ferret replied. Bobby snickered. “Alright then.” Bobby then leaned in and kissed the ferret on the cheek. “I love you, Travis.” Gideon did the same. “And the same goes fer me.” “I love you guys too.” The porcupine and fox cuddled up to the ferret after that, and it wasn’t long before the three had fallen asleep once more. Bobby had spent most of the week, when he wasn’t working at the bakery, getting some of his duties as Best Man taken care of. Despite his past protests that he didn’t want to use the Zoo as a means to come and go to Zootopia to prepare things, both Tidus and Theo insisted upon it, saying that they did not consider using it to help with someone else’s wedding an act of selfishness, and Bobby eventually relented, realizing his duties would not get done otherwise. This kept him busy up to the day before the wedding itself. The day before the wedding itself was due to take place, Bobby, Gideon, Travis, Sam, and Stu all took the train to Zootopia, renting a hotel there for the night. After they got there, they went out together to get wedding gifts before turning in for the night. On the day of the wedding, Bobby and Sam had woken up a bit earlier than Gideon, Travis, and Stu had, owing to Bobby wanting to head to the chapel early, since he was asked to be there as Best Man, and since he was asked to bring his dad. The others woke just as Bobby and his dad had finished getting dressed and cleaned up and were about ready to leave, and they both gave them hugs and kisses before sending them off. After making their way there, Bobby headed inside the chapel, seeing a few familiar faces who had shown up early. He had to ask where Koslov currently was and was directed to a room down a nearby hallway. He headed toward it, knocking on the door. “Koslov? May I come in? I have Dad with me.” “Da,” the polar bear said from behind the door. Bobby opened the door and stepped inside, with his dad right behind him. When he saw Koslov there, dressed in a black tuxedo with a white undershirt, he walked over with a smile. As Koslov turned around and stepped aside, Bobby saw that his son, Morris, currently ten years old, was standing there as well, also dressed up. “Privet, Koslov. Privet, Morris.” Morris looked at the porcupine with a smile. “Privet!” “Is good see you,” Koslov said, coming over. “Both of you.” Sam smiled. “How are you doing today, Koslov?” “Have something weighing on mind. Is why asked Bobby bring you. Need ask something,” the large polar bear told him.” He then looked at his son and whispered something to him. Morris nodded and walked over to Bobby, smiling at him before exiting the room. “What is it I can help you with, Koslov,” Sam asked, walking over to him. “How Sam get over worry something go wrong when get married? Koslov worry because size so different. When Koslov work with Dimitri, it different. Koslov use size to do job, but Koslov not want Dimitri treated different because we marry. Koslov worry his family not show during wedding, because they think Koslov using size to scare Dimitri into marrying.” Sam’s answer was almost immediate. “Koslov, I have three words that will answer that question for you. Follow your heart. You love him. He loves you. That is all that matters. Even if someone doesn’t approve because they believe you’re trying to force the wedding, you and Dimitri both know that isn’t the case. Your love for each other is genuine, isn’t it?” Koslov nodded. “Da. That become clear when Dimitri take ring.” “Then no matter what reason anyone has for why they don’t approve, you know the truth. You deserve happiness, and whether or not they want to be a part of that, it’s you and him that decides the life you have, not them,” Sam told him. Koslov nodded again. “Koslov,” Bobby looked at him. “Da?” “Is there some reason you have to believe some of Dimitri’s relatives don’t approve of the wedding,” the porcupine asked. “Have you heard something from someone?” “Nyet. Not hear anything bad from his family,” the polar bear said, shaking his head.” “Then why the worry that it’s going to...” Bobby stopped. “Koslov...” Koslov gave him a curious look. “Da?” “Which of them said it,” he asked. “Bobby?” Sam looked at him. “He just said none of Dimitri’s family has said anything about it.” “Not Dimitri’s. HIS,” Bobby commented before turning back to the bear. “Which of your family members said they didn’t approve?” Koslov looked at him and sighed. “It not family, but good as.” Bobby frowned and walked over to him. “Never mind, Koslov. I’m sorry I asked.” “Nyet. Is good question. Just sad think about. Kevin. He not SAY not approve, but Kevin not treat Koslov the same since got engaged.” Before Bobby could get a word in to respond, though, there was a knock on the door. The force behind the knock told them all it was a larger fur knocking. “Come in,” Koslov said, trying not to sound as upset as he was talking about the conversation. The door was pushed open, and Koslov was stunned to find Kevin was the one who entered. He was dressed in a tuxedo similar to the one Koslov was wearing. “I heard everything, Koslov, and you need to know, I was NEVER against you marrying him,” the bear said, his voice coming out rough but not quite as rough as Koslov’s was. “Then why treat Koslov so badly,” the other polar bear asked. “I wasn’t doing it intentionally,” he said. “I’ve been worried about my OWN wedding coming up.” Those words had Koslov, Sam, and Bobby all looking surprised. “You getting married,” Koslov asked him. “Koslov not know that.” “Because, believe it or not, I’m worried it’s going to be a disaster. I’ve already had issues getting certain things together, and several people I sent invites to either never got them or said they couldn’t come.” He sighed. “I’ve been acting differently because I’m jealous that your wedding seems to be going off without a hitch, and mine is falling apart.” Koslov looked at Kevin for several seconds in complete silence, trying to think of what to say. “Kevin?” “Yes?” “Koslov sorry things not going well. Koslov not mean to make you feel bad.” Immediately the other bear shook his head. “Do not apologize for your wedding going well, Koslov. I’m happy for you. I really am. I just wish my wedding plans were going as easy as yours did.” Bobby looked at Kevin quietly for a moment before walking up to him and grabbing him for a hug, without a word. Kevin was taken by surprise, but he hugged back. When Bobby let go, he gave the porcupine an odd look. “What was that for?” “You needed it.” Right then, there was another knock on the door. Koslov looked toward the door and spoke up. “Come in.” When the door was pushed open, Bobby and the others saw Morris re-enter the room, and he quickly scurried over to his father. Intrigued by this, Koslov squatted down. Morris whispered something in his ear, with Koslov whispering something back. This went back and forth between them for a couple of minutes before Morris hugged him and scurried out of the room. Koslov stood up again, looking at Kevin. “Koslov want ask Kevin question.” “What is it,” the other polar bear asked. “You come to chapel alone, da? Without fiancé?” “I did, yes...” He went quiet for a moment then shrugged. “After Raymond and I left work last night, he got a call from a family member who got sick and wanted company, so he stayed the night, and I haven’t seen him since,” Kevin told him. “Why?” “He take fancy suit with him before he left?” “He did. He was planning on coming straight here after he left.” Bobby turned to look at Koslov. “I bet I can guess what Morris just told you, Koslov. It’s something that involves Raymond, isn’t it?” Koslov gave the porcupine a nod before turning to Kevin. “You here with Koslov for reason. Raymond here now. Kevin not supposed to see.” Kevin looked at Koslov with a raised brow. “I came to see you by choice, Koslov. I didn’t do it because I was asked to.” “Da, but family take advantage of fact Kevin not there. Bring Raymond. Morris tell Koslov keep you here. Kevin and Raymond get married today.” Raymond gave Koslov a dumbstruck look. “No... No, I can’t do that. Our wedding wasn’t supposed to be for another couple of weeks. And most of the furs we would have invited...” Koslov put a paw on Kevin’s shoulder, causing the other polar bear to stop talking. “Kevin need listen, not talk. Kevin say wedding plans not work out. Kevin say furs not coming. Wedding supposed to be happy time, not sad.” Koslov then went quiet, looking into Kevin’s eyes. “Koslov WANT share wedding day.” “But you don’t have...” “Kevin,” Bobby interrupted. “Look at me.” The polar bear turned to look at the porcupine. “Yes?” Bobby pulled the paw necklace out from underneath his tuxedo. “I’m going to ask you two questions that are going to come out of nowhere, but I NEED answers here.” Kevin, now with a confused look on his face, responded. “Okay?” “Here’s the first one. Be honest. Do you like the idea of sharing your wedding day with Koslov?” After nearly a minute of silence, during which he was looking between Bobby, Sam, and Koslov, he nodded. “The more I think about it, the more I believe it would be a great idea, if it were possible, so yes.” Bobby nods. “Here’s the second one. If I told you I knew a way to help you, would you trust me enough to let me do it?” When Sam heard Bobby’s words, he just laughed but didn’t speak. Kevin stood there with an odd look on his face after hearing Bobby’s question. “You’ve already proven to us that you’re a trustworthy, honest, and helpful person over the last five years. If there’s anyone that has earned my trust, it’s you, by way of how helpful you are to those around you. I’m not sure how you can, but yes. If you know a way to make it work, I trust you enough to let you do it.” That was all Bobby needed to hear. He closed his eyes, taking the paw on the necklace between his fingers. He spoke very quietly. “Today is a very special day. Today, Koslov is going to marry Dimitri, but, on top of that, another friend could use some help so that he can have the wedding he hoped for as well... Kevin had hoped to marry Raymond soon, but plans for their wedding aren’t going anywhere near as smoothly, so the wedding was, instead, planned to happen today. Though Kevin still fears it won’t go well...” He grew quiet for a moment, but the next words, although still quiet, were just loud enough for his dad to hear. His voice, however, was cracking as he tried to stay composed. “I don’t care if it means using up all the magic I’ve been given to do it. If there is any way to make it so that they can have the wedding they hoped for alongside Koslov and Dimitri, grant me the magic to make that happen.” Sam looked at Bobby after hearing that, but the younger porcupine’s eyes remained shut. Bobby just stood there, unmoving, focused on making the magic work. The normal amount of time it took to feel the wind coming off the necklace had come and passed. Bobby started trembling, but he still refused to move or open his eyes. It wasn’t until a tear fell from the corner of his eye, nearly two minutes later, that the porcupine felt the burst of wind hit his paw. When it did, he opened his eyes, which only caused more tears to fall. Concerned, Sam reached over to put a paw on his son’s shoulder to steady him, but someone else was quicker. Kevin grabbed Bobby, pulling him into a hug. He felt the porcupine shaking, and held him tight. “Shh... It’s okay... Whatever you just tried to do... Thank you for trying.” Bobby sniffed back his tears and took several breaths before lifting his head from the bear’s shoulder so Kevin could hear him. “Kevin... Listen to me...” “Hm?” “You’re getting that wedding you hoped for. I just poured my heart into making today just as special for you and Raymond as it is for Koslov and Dimitri.” Raymond rubbed Bobby’s back as he held him. “What do you mean?” “I’ve just done something that’s made it possible for everyone you hoped to have come to your wedding to show up,” the porcupine told him. His body eventually stopped shaking, so he let go of the bear but looked at him with a smile. “And any other preparations you had are all taken care of as well.” “Bobby?” “Yes?” “I don’t know what to say other than thank you. I do have to ask, though... Are you alright,” the bear asked. “Yeah, I’m okay... I felt a little weird when I first finished, but I’m okay now. Mahalo for asking,” Bobby replied. “Anyway, I’m gonna head back out and finish checking on things.” “Could I ask you to do me a favor? Could you give these to my Best Man?” Bobby looked at the polar bear for a few seconds in silence as he tried to figure out who he thought the Best Man would be. When he figured it out, he nodded. “I’d be glad to.” Bobby smiled. He looked at Koslov. “Before I go, there’s one last thing I need to say.” Koslov looked at him. “Da?” “I’m proud of you, Koslov. As silly as that might sound.” “Why proud?” “A month ago, you were so worried about the idea that Dimitri was your boss that you came to me for advice. I gave you the best advice I could, but it was ultimately up to you to go through with it. You did, and, now, here you are. In a few hours, you’re going to be married to the man you’ve been working closely with for many years. It took a lot of courage to do what you did, and I’m proud of you for doing it.” “Could not do without you,” Koslov replied. “Regardless, you did it, and I know you and Dimitri are going to have a wonderful life together. I’m sure Morris is excited too...” He reached for the doorknob, only to hear a knock on the other side of it right as he was about to open the door. With a laugh, he opened it and, not even bothering to check who it was, offered the wedding rings Kevin had just handed him to the fur at the door. “Gracias, Pequeño,” came the voice of the jaguar Bobby often referred to as Papi, who then took the rings Bobby offered him. “De nada, Papi. Buenos días.” Renato chuckled. “Buenos días.” Kevin looked at Bobby. “He literally JUST knocked. What made you so sure you were going to be handing my rings to the right fur?” “Honestly? I wasn’t sure at all. I just assumed it,” Bobby told him. “Seriously?” Bobby just shrugged. “Well, I mean I DID wish for you to get the wedding you hoped for, didn’t I?” “You did...” “Well, it just made sense to me that, eventually, your Best Man would come to check in with you. You’ve been in here for a while now. Anyway, I’m gonna go back out now.” Bobby looked at his Dad. “Coming?” “Probably a good idea. Koslov, are you feeling okay?” “Da,” the polar said with a nod. “Feel even better now day more special.” “Very good,” the elder porcupine said before looking at his son. “Shall we?” “Yeah. I wanna check and make sure everything’s going smoothly. I know I wasn’t back here TOO long, but I also don’t want to neglect my duties. Let’s go,” Bobby said before following his dad out of the room. Bobby spent most of the next couple of hours making sure everything was ready to go. He also made it a point to talk with any family and friends that came, greeting them with a smile and thanking them for coming. He had just finished up and was resting when Gideon, Travis, and Stu showed up. “Hey there, hun,” Gideon said as he walked up, giving the porcupine a quick kiss. “How is everythin’ goin’?” “Things are going extremely well. The wedding’s going to proceed a bit differently than it was originally planned, because of something that was decided earlier today.” “What do you mean,” Travis asked, looking at him. “You might have noticed that this chapel is a lot more full than it was originally planned to be. That’s because there’s going to be two weddings happening today, side by side, instead of only one,” the porcupine told the ferret. “Why do ah have the feelin’ yer responsible fer that,” Gideon commented, looking at him. “Because you know me extremely well,” Bobby told him. “Yeah, I’m responsible... Well, partially, anyway. It turned out that Raymond had made plans to have the wedding happen alongside Koslov and Dimitri’s without telling Kevin that. And... well... I did something to make sure things went well...” He pointed at the paw necklace which was tucked under his shirt again. Travis looked at Gideon and Stu. “I bet THAT’S why Tidus and Theo are looking for him.” Bobby raised a brow upon hearing that. “Huh?” “They followed us here after sayin’ they needed ta ask ya about somethin’,” Gideon told him. “Guess I should go find them,” Bobby replied. “No need,” came Theo’s approaching voice from behind. The horse wrapped his arms around the porcupine, gently hugging him. Bobby laughed and nuzzled back against the horse, being careful not to put too much pressure on the horse’s belly. “Aloha, Theo.” “Aloha right back at you, Bobby. Can I steal you away for a couple of minutes,” Theo asked. “Yeah, that’s okay. Everything is taken care of, so I’ve got time.” Bobby looked at the others. “I’ll be right back,” he told them. He then followed Theo, who led him over to where Tidus was waiting. “Aloha, Tidus.” “Aloha, Bobby,” the horse replied. “How are you feeling?” “Honestly? Tidus, I don’t think there’s any way I could feel better about myself than I do right now. I’m a little tired, but I don’t know if that’s from me helping with the wedding or if it’s...” Theo held up a paw to stop him. “Bobby, hold on a moment. Could you hand me the necklace, please? I want to check something.” After taking a few seconds to take it off, Bobby placed the necklace in Theo’s paw. Theo closed his fingers around the necklace, falling silent for several seconds before looking at his brother and nodding. Tidus spoke up. “Bobby, do you remember how you were told that the necklace couldn’t hold enough magic to cure your mother, but that it didn’t matter anyway, because we took care of the illness for you?” “I remember... Did you have to help me with what I did?” “We didn’t do anything to help you, but we DO know how much magic you used. We knew it the moment you used it,” Tidus told him. “It’s honestly a shock to Theo and me that you’re still standing. You used a LOT of magic to do what you did, Bobby.” “I was focusing so hard on wanting to make it work that I didn’t care what it meant would happen. Even if it meant giving up all of the magic you guys gave me, if it helped things turn out better than they would have otherwise, it was worth it.” Theo smiled. “We could tell you were using it to do something strong, but we had no idea what.” “So... how did you find out what I did then?” Theo reached into the pocket of the tuxedo he was dressed in and pulled out an envelope, which he handed to Bobby. Bobby saw the envelope was already open, so he pulled out the contents. Inside it was what he recognized as one of the wedding invitations that had originally been sent out for Koslov and Dimitri’s wedding, but he noticed when he opened it to read it, that the invitation now mentioned both, and that anyone wishing to attend the wedding that was planned for Raymond and Kevin would find that they only had to think about what they wished to bring with them and they would find it ready and waiting for them. When Bobby looked up, he was wide-eyed. “Whoa...” Tidus smiled. “You literally used enough magic to grant every single guest that was meant to be at Raymond and Kevin’s wedding the ability to bring whatever they planned to bring had they originally intended to come.” Bobby suddenly realized the scope of what he’d done. “And given the number that originally couldn’t come... if they now could...” “You had used magic to guarantee every one of them had what they needed, yes,” Theo said with a nod. “No wonder you said I should have been out cold,” he handed the invite back to Theo. “So... why is it I WASN’T then?” “We aren’t one hundred percent sure, but we do have a theory,” Theo told the porcupine as he brought the paw necklace back around Bobby’s neck and fastened it. He then turned Bobby to face him and looked into his eyes. “We think it was because you weren’t the only one that used the magic at the time. You had help.” “You said you guys didn’t help me,” Bobby replied. “Not from us, Bobby. If I had to guess, you had help from Kevin,” Theo told him. “As far as I know, he doesn’t have magic though,” Bobby told him. “He couldn’t have given me assistance without it... could he?” “Bobby, did you or did you not do all of this to give Raymond and Kevin the ability to have all of their family and friends together when they otherwise would not have been able to,” Tidus asked. “I did,” Bobby said with a nod. Tidus continued his brother’s thought. “And before you did any of it, I’m guessing you asked if Kevin trusted you enough to let you do it without telling him what you were going to do, and he said yes, correct?” “Yeah?” Theo smiled at him. “I believe that, from the moment he acknowledged his trust in you, you were protected from any negative effects of whatever magic you used.” “You think so?” “We have no way of knowing for sure, but it would make sense,” Tidus told him. “After all, he had no idea what you were going to do, did he?” Bobby suddenly remembered something and his eyes shot open. “Wait! When I was trying to focus on it, I was trying so hard that I started shaking and getting teary-eyed from how badly I wanted it to work. When I opened my eyes after I did it, I started crying and I almost fell over because of how drained I felt from putting all my emotion into that magic, but he grabbed me and held me.” “There’s your answer then, Bobby,” Tidus commented. “He may not have known what you were doing, but something he did protected you.” “Wow... If that IS what happened... then I need to make sure the rest of this wedding goes well,” Bobby commented. “You’d best get back out there then. We’ll join the others and see you later,” Theo told him. “Right... Oh! Before I forget...” Bobby pointed at his necklace. “Mahalo.” Theo said nothing more, making shooing motions with his paws. Bobby made his way back to where the others were, just in time to see both Koslov and Kevin leaving the room the two of them had been in. Koslov gestured him over, so Bobby quickly jogged to his side. “Are you feeling okay?” “Da. But Kevin need talk to you. Want say something before wedding start,” the polar bear said before he walked toward the front area of the chapel, leaving Bobby and Raymond to talk. Bobby looked at the other bear. “What’s on your mind?” The bear reached over and grabbed Bobby without a word, pulling him into a hug. As he felt Bobby hug back, Kevin spoke up. “Thank you. Bobby, Everyone who wouldn’t have been able to make the original wedding has shown up. Now I can do this with a smile on my face.” Thinking about what Theo had said, Bobby replied with a smile. Though he had no idea if it was even accurate, he decided to chance it. “I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off if you hadn’t helped me.” To his surprise, Kevin grinned. “I didn’t know what you planned to do, Bobby, but, as soon as I realized how much magic you were putting into it and the effect it was having on you, I knew I couldn’t let you get hurt.” Bobby’s eyes grew. “So you DID use magic to stabilize me...” He nodded. “Yes. Much like you, I only use it if it benefits someone other than myself. I saw you were growing weaker, due to the amount of magic you were using and the emotion you were putting into doing it. The moment you opened your eyes, I grabbed you, because I wanted to make sure you didn’t get hurt. Even then, I had no idea what you did until you told me.” Bobby just smiled. “I’d do it all over again if I had to. I wanted today to be a day you’d never forget.” “Believe me, Bobby. I won’t,” the bear replied. “Good,” the porcupine commented. “Now, come on... it’s time to get you married.” The bear laughed and nodded, walking over to the altar. Bobby took his place beside Koslov and Kevin quickly found himself greeted again by Renato. Not even a minute later, Mayor Lionheart made his way over to them as well. As the lion approached Bobby, he spoke. “I hear the big crowd that gathered for this double wedding is your doing. First time I’ve officiated a double myself. I’m going to enjoy this, though probably not near as much as our soon-to-be-newlyweds, hm?” Bobby just chuckled and nodded, as he watched Leo take his place. The next several minutes were spent with all of the family and friends settling into their seats. Once everyone had and things had calmed down, some soft music was heard playing as Raymond came into view walking up the aisle. The bear was dressed in a tuxedo similar to that of the one Kevin had been wearing. Beside him, much to Koslov’s surprise, was Morris, who had Dimitri standing on his paw, who was also dressed in a tuxedo, though it was very similar to the suit he was almost always seen in. Morris very carefully walked alongside Raymond until both of them had arrived at the altar. At which point, he placed his paw on a stool that had been set beside Koslov for Dimitri to stand on. Once Dimitri was on the stool safely, the shrew thanked the cub, who stepped aside. Raymond took his place beside Kevin, who had a smile on his face. Leo gave everyone at the altar a pleasant smile before turning his attention to the furs that were watching. “Today is a very special day. Today, we are here to unite not one couple but two, who have come to pledge their love for one another through the act of holy matrimony. If there is anyone present that has a reason that either of these couples should not be wed today, I ask that you speak now or forever hold your peace.” The chapel fell silent as Leo looked out among the various furs before him. Once he felt certain no objections were coming, he continued. “I have been asked to handle both weddings together, rather than separately, as it had been decided that this wedding would be shared in as many ways as possible, so, rather than addressing one couple then the other, I will be addressing both.” He turned his attention to the four at the altar. “Koslov and Dimitri... Kevin and Raymond... As you stand here today, do you take your partners as your lawfully wedded husbands? To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part?” Koslov looked at Dimitri in silence, who just gave him a gentle smile and a soft nod. Raymond and Kevin gave each other a nod as well. About a second later, almost at the same time, the four of them spoke. “I do.” This got a laugh from many of the furs watching, as well as from Bobby, Renato, Morris, and Leo. “Both couples have written their own vows, so...” Leo turned to Dimitri. “Please feel free to start.” The shrew gave him a nod before turning to Koslov. “Koslov, you have been one of my most faithful and loyal companions for years, and I want you to know how much that means to me. As I stand here today, I vow to always be at your side when you need me. Whether that means to help with work, your personal life, or even your son, Morris... You have always shown yourself to be so strong, Koslov, but during those times when you cannot be, I will help you to get through them.” A tear escaped the polar bear’s eye as he smiled. Leo smiled as well, giving Koslov a nod to let him know to proceed. Koslov looked at Dimitri. It took him several seconds before he spoke. “Dimitri... You kind and patient with Koslov, even though from another place. You give Koslov job and Koslov always do best to make Dimitri not regret. Today, with friends and family watching, Koslov promise always protect Dimitri to best of ability. Koslov be there when need shoulder to cry on or ear to vent to. Koslov promise to take care of Dimitri whenever need it and be at Dimitri’s side forever.” Dimitri gave Koslov a pleased smile. Leo then turned to Raymond and Kevin. Then, he nodded to Kevin. Kevin took a deep breath and turned to Raymond. “Raymond, despite me being so worried about things going wrong in our personal life, you’ve always been there to help put a smile on my face. I want you to know, here and now, that I will always do whatever it takes to put a smile on yours as well. Whether that means helping you when you’ve been hurt, getting you through a stressful situation, or whatever else might be causing you to lose your smile. Seeing you happy is what helps to give me strength, and I vow to always be there when you need help too.” Raymond gave a soft chuckle as Leo gestured for him to speak. “For years, you’ve made me feel safe. You’ve made me feel happy. You’ve made me feel important. Every time I’ve had something that I’ve held in, you’ve been the one to help me through whatever it was I’ve been worried about. As I stand here today, on the day we’re to be married, I want you and everyone else to know that I promise to always do the same for you. No matter how big or small the issue, I promise I’ll be at your side to make you feel just as loved as you’ve made me feel. Now and forever, I promise to do my best to show you how important you truly are to me.” Kevin smiled after hearing Raymond’s words. Leo looked at each of the four of them with another soft smile before speaking once more. “It seems quite clear to me that all four of you care very deeply for your partners, which is a sign we should move forward to the exchanging of the rings.” At these words, Bobby and Renato stepped forward, each carrying the two rings that belonged to the couple that they were Best Men for. Leo turned to Koslov and Dimitri first. Despite the size difference between the rings, Dimitri showed no hesitation in taking the wedding ring for Koslov into his paws. After Koslov had put his paw nearby, to make things easier, Leo spoke once more, addressing Dimitri. “If you would, please repeat after me: I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” Dimitri nodded, looking at Koslov. “I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” After finishing speaking, the arctic shrew lifted the ring enough so that Koslov could line his finger up with it. He then slid it on. After Bobby helped him carefully pick up the ring with a small tool he’d been given, the bear then turned to Dimitri. Leo spoke again. “Koslov, please repeat after me: I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” Koslov remained silent as he looked at Dimitri. Leo raised a brow. “Koslov? Are you alright?” The silence lasted about thirty seconds before the bear spoke. “I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” The entire chapel erupted into a series of gasps of surprise. No one knew what to think of the fact that Koslov had spoken perfect English throughout the entire statement. Koslov didn’t speak another word as he used the small tool to slide the ring onto the smaller creature’s finger. The chapel fell silent after that, for several moments, before Leo spoke again, remembering he still had a job to do. He then turned to look at Kevin. Kevin, however, still seemed to have been focused on Koslov. “Before we continue... I’d like to say something.” When Leo gave the gesture to do so, he spoke again. “Koslov... I don’t think I’ve ever heard you speak English as clearly as I just did... If that isn’t proof of just how much you really do love Dimitri, I don’t know what is.” “Practiced,” Koslov said. “Wanted to get right.” Kevin nodded. He took the ring that Renato handed him, before looking at Raymond. Beside the couple, the lion spoke. “Kevin, please repeat after me: I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” “I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” Kevin then slid the ring onto the other bear’s finger. Raymond then took the final ring, looking at Kevin. Again, Leo spoke. “Please repeat after me: I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” “I give you this ring to wear with love and joy. As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I choose you to be my husband this day and forevermore.” Raymond slid the ring onto Kevin’s finger. Leo smiled at that, looking out toward all the other furs watching. “As the declarations of love have been heard and the rings have been exchanged, here in front of family and friends, I now present our two newlywed couples. Dimitri and Koslov... Kevin and Raymond... you may now seal your weddings with a kiss.” Both couples did exactly that, which resulted in the crowd of furs cheering and offering congratulations. It wasn’t long after that before everyone was gathering together to make their way to the building across the street for lunch. Koslov walked with Dimitri in his paw and Morris at his side. Kevin and Raymond weren’t far behind, both of them wearing smiles on their faces. Bobby, Gideon, and Travis made their way there with Sam and Stu in tow. As he walked, Bobby had a big smile. “I’m really glad things worked out.” “With what you did, I’d have been surprised if they didn’t,” Sam commented. “Well, to be fair, even if I made it possible for everyone to come, they still could have had something that could have stopped them from coming today. I had no way of knowing whether or not everyone would be free to be here or not. I just... Had to try something...” “Regardless, Bobby, the fact you risked passing out just to make that happen... I’m proud of you. That’s probably one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever seen you do.” The porcupine blushed. When they made it across the street and to the other building, Bobby held open the door and stepped inside. He and the others all took their seats and talked amongst each other for a few more minutes while waiting for the remaining guests to arrive. Once they had, Bobby stood and spoke up. “I want to thank everyone here for coming to join us on this special day. Today ended up being a surprise for a lot of you, learning that it wasn’t ONE wedding that happened but TWO. Koslov and Dimitri... Kevin and Raymond... You are now here as newlywed couples and, if I may say so, you look great together. Today marks the start of a new chapter in your lives, but it’s one I know you look forward to experiencing yourselves. Standing here today, as I look at the four of you, I can say one thing I know to be one hundred percent accurate. Your lives will only get better from here, and, as they do, you’ll each become stronger together. Congratulations Koslov, Dimitri, Kevin, and Raymond. May your future always be bright.” The guests at the table all clapped. Once the applause had died down, Renato stood up as well. “I don’t think Bobby could have said it any better. The four of you are indeed strong individually, but you are stronger now, together. What will happen in the future is something no one knows, but one thing is certain. The love you each have for your husbands will only continue to grow. Felicitaciones, mi familia. May your hearts and love always be strong.” More applause was heard then. When it died down, Larry’s voice was heard. “We have a large variety of different foods prepared for your lunch today, so please feel free to eat as much as you like.” Everyone then got up and made their way over to the various foods that were set out among the tables. Everyone except Bobby, who, instead, walked over to Larry. Before he could speak, though, Larry spoke first. “Before you ask, yes, we’re aware of what you did, and no, no magic was used to make accommodations for the guests. Believe it or not, we had made a massive amount of food long before finding out what you did.” Bobby raised a brow. “Why?” “Because Raymond told us a few days ago that he was planning on surprising Kevin with the wedding today. True, we didn’t know you were going to end up getting ALL of their original guests to come, but we had made a huge amount of food on the off chance something like this happened.” Bobby looked at him in silence for several moments before crossing his arms and smirking. “You’re lying.” “Hm?” “You didn’t just make extra food on the off chance others would show up. You’d have potentially wasted a LOT of food doing that. Especially since you’re saying you didn’t use magic to make any of it. You KNEW all of Kevin and Raymond’s guests would be here. You put the food together and planned it knowing that for a fact,” the porcupine commented. “What I don’t get is HOW you knew.” Gary turned to Larry. “Told you we couldn’t fool him.” Larry laughed. “Yeah, you did.” He looked at Bobby. “You wanna know how we knew we’d need a lot of food, and how we knew for a fact that if we made it, it wouldn’t be wasted?” Bobby nodded. “I’d think the answer would be obvious by now, Bobby,” Larry told him. “From the moment we discovered you were asked to be Best Man for Koslov and Dimitri’s wedding, we already knew you’d do anything you had to do to make it special. We also knew Raymond planned to surprise Kevin by marrying him today because we had talked to him privately about it weeks ago. He specifically asked us to make enough food to cover his guest list just on the off chance that he could get all of his original guest list to come.” Gary continued for his brother. “Raymond had been in the middle of calling the various friends and family that weren’t already there, due to Koslov and Dimitri’s wedding, when you had used the magic to send the magical invite to all of them at once.” “He really was planning to do the wedding today then?” “Mhm,” Larry nodded. “He had no idea at the time if any of them could make it, but your little magic spell made it so they could all be there as long as they didn’t already have an obligation for the day. So the fact we have the extra food just means no one is going to go hungry.” “That still doesn’t explain how you KNEW they would be there. How did you know I was going to use magic to guarantee everyone was given the chance?” Larry and Gary both spoke at the same time. “Because we know your heart, Bobby.” Bobby blushed at that. “We knew that once you heard that something was going wrong, and then found out Raymond planned to make the wedding happen today, you’d do anything you had to so they could get things to go smoothly. Since we knew Tidus and Theo gave you that necklace you’re wearing, we put things together and realized what you did to help.” Bobby blushed even further. “I just wanted to make sure that things went well. If Raymond went through the trouble of rearranging things, the least I could do was help him with it.” “Well, it worked,” Gary commented. “And, honestly, I’m glad it did.” He looked toward where the two newlywed couples were currently sitting. “They all look quite happy.” “That they do. Anyway, I’m gonna get some food now.” Larry and Gary nodded, letting the porcupine pass them as they walked around talking to some of the others. Bobby gathered up some of the different foods before coming back and taking a seat again. “Everything okay,” Travis asked, looking at the porcupine. “Mhm. I just wanted to ask Larry and Gary about something.” “Ah,” the ferret nodded. The five of them sat and ate their food, chatting with each other, as well as with some of the others that were nearby. Around an hour or so later, once it seemed everyone had eaten their fill of the lunch, Larry and Gary walked into a nearby room, coming back out with both a large wedding cake and a tiny one, both being brought over to the front of the seating area. Larry then spoke up. “I hope you all left some room for cake because Gary and I would hate to have to eat these by ourselves.” The comment got a laugh from almost everyone in the room. “And, of course, the first cut of the cake should come from our newlywed couples.” A knife was handed to Kevin for him to use on the larger, and a smaller one was presented to Dimitri for him to use on the smaller cake. Kevin then turned to the cake, placing the knife upon it, with Raymond placing his paw on top of Kevin’s to make the cut. Dimitri did the same for the smaller cake, with Koslov placing a single finger on top of Dimitri’s paw as he did. With comments of happiness from the others, the cakes were then cut and served along with some homemade ice cream. When everyone had finished that, their attention was drawn to Dimitri, who had stood, speaking loudly so everyone could hear him. “I want to thank everyone who took the time to be here today. Regardless of which wedding you ended up here for, or how it came to be that you were able to be here, the fact you have come makes me very happy.” The next several seconds were met with the various furs commenting on how they were glad to do it or how they had no other plans and this was something they didn’t want to miss. As things began winding down, something reentered Bobby’s mind, and he quickly dashed back over to Tidus and Theo. Just as Bobby was about to speak up, he found himself being interrupted by Tidus, who put a paw on his shoulder and whispered. “I’ll take care of it. I know what you’re about to say, and I’d rather not risk you exhausting yourself.” “They’re here because of me, Tidus,” Bobby whispered back. “I have to see this to the end.” “You’ve done your part,” the horse told him. “I’ll take care of it, Bobby.” The porcupine frowned. “Tidus...” “It’s that important to you,” the horse questioned. “Yes.” “Very well, but at least allow me to do something to help.” Tidus tapped the paw on the necklace a couple of times. Bobby felt a burst of wind come off of it and looked at Tidus curiously. “There... Hold out your paw, and I want you to focus on the desire to help anyone you brought here to get back home.” Bobby did as he was asked, and when he did, he found a large leather pouch appear in his paws. It sounded like something was jingling around inside. He opened the pouch to see it full of several silver coins. “What do I do with these?” “There are enough there for you to give one to each fur that was brought here specifically because of what you did. Give one to each of them and tell them that all they need to do to return to their home is exit this building while holding the coin in their paw and focusing on going home.” “Got it,” Bobby nodded. He quickly walked over to the others to explain things then spent the next several minutes going to each fur that had used the portal created by his wish and telling them what to do. They each thanked him when he did, and, after saying goodbye to everyone, he returned to Gideon, Travis, Stu, and Sam now ready to go back to their hotel. “It’s been quite a day, hasn’t it,” Stu remarked as the group left the building. “Yeah, but I’m glad to have been a part of it,” Bobby commented. “I think the same could be said for all of us,” Sam responded. “True,” Bobby laughed. After the five of them finally made it back to the hotel, they were all quick to change out of their suits and into something more comfortable. Gideon had only just gotten his shirt back on when his cell phone rang. Reaching over and grabbing it, the fox looked at the display. His eyes grew as he read it and he quickly answered. “Papa?” “Hey there, Gid... Been a while, hm?” “No kiddin’... Uhhh..... how are ya,” the fox asked, rubbing his neck. He looked at Bobby and Travis with a look that was a mixture of confusion and shock on his face. “Doin’ alright, ah suppose. Ah was wonderin’ though... Are ya busy tonight? Ah’d like ta come ta visit...” Gideon nearly dropped the phone hearing those words. “Uhh... well, ah’m not in Bunnyburrow right now. Ah’m at a hotel in Zootopia. Ah was just relaxin’ after havin’ come back from a weddin’.” “A weddin’, huh?” “Yeah. A double weddin’, actually. Two couples ah know got married today.” “Ah see. That’s a shame, though. Ah really would like ta see ya.” “Hang on a sec, Papa. Ah’ll be right back.” Gideon fell silent then. He didn’t even wait for his dad to reply before he put the phone down. He walked over to Bobby. “Papa wants to see me.” Bobby heard that and gave the fox a curious look. “Do YOU want to see HIM?” Gideon had to stop and think about that. It took several moments before he spoke up again. “Yeah... Ah do.” “Then tell him you can meet up with him tomorrow. We can just leave the hotel a day early.” “Are ya sure,” Gideon asked. Sam and Stu turned to look at Gideon and nodded before Stu spoke. “Gid, he’s your family. If you want to see him, after years of not being able to, then we’re gonna help to make it so you can.” “Exactly,” Travis added in. Gideon nodded. He then picked up the phone again. “Papa? Sorry about that...” “It’s alright, Gid. Ah’m sorry fer just springin’ that on ya,” the older fox commented. “Can ya come sometime tomorrow afternoon? Ah can text ya the address.” “Ah’ll be there, Gid...” There was a pause before he spoke again. “Ah just hope ya don’t freak out when ah see ya. Ah don’t quite look the same as ah used ta.” “Ah don’t care, Papa... Ah got ta see Mama about a week ago. It’s yer turn.” The older fox laughed. “Alright, well, don’t say ah didn’t warn ya. See ya tomorrow?” “Yeah. See ya tomorrow. Bye, Papa.” “Bye fer now, Gid.” Gideon hung up the cell phone and then dropped onto the bed. “You okay, Gid,” Bobby asked. “Yeah... Ah just... wasn’t expectin’ that. Papa hasn’t so much as texted or called me once in years,” the fox told him. “Wonder what made him decide he wanted to call today.” “Ah’m sure ah’ll find out soon enough.”
