He smiled a bit seeing as the man was still sound asleep, and quietly, buy gently, got out of the bed and headed towards the closet of the room. He was trying to be as quiet as he could, as to not wake up his husband. A detail Inferno took into account was that it was Christmas day, and that he wanted to wrap his husbands gift in secret, and while he was asleep was the best way to do so. He grabbed some wrapping paper out of the closet and took it into a secret room that only he and Chris knew about. He put the box he had gotten from his closet down on a table, and unraveled some of the wrapping paper so that he had enough to wrap it up. As he did this, he heard voices slowly start piling out of rooms one by one, some from his siblings and some from his own kids. He heard his eldest son John speak up to his youngest, a blue kitten named Champ “Champ, have you seen father? I went to see if he was awake and he wasn’t in his room, and papa Chris is still asleep.”\n\n\tThe Kitten shrugged “Nope, haven’t seen him.” He let out a small yawn, showing he had just woken up not too long ago. John got curious, and started to look around for the dragon wolf. “Father? Where are you, breakfast will be ready soon!” john called out. He sighed knowing it would be hard considering that castle Elderith was huge, and that his father could be anywhere. He soon enough heard to voices bickering about something stupid, and rolled his eyes, knowing exactly who the duo was. “Alistar, Ezekiel, do either of you know where father is?” The elder gator asked, and both humans gasp and turn around to see there oldest brother standing before him, both looking as if they had done something nearly bad, and were caught red handed. The duo looked at one another and back at john, both slowly shaking their heads. John nodded and motioned them to go to the kitchen “breakfast will be ready soon, and no peeking at your gifts under the tree until everyone’s there got it!” he called and they both nod and run off.\n\n\tAs John prepared to head back to the dining hall in order to find Inferno there, he bumped into another of his brothers currently leaving their room. It was a black anthro dragon named Cerin. John stumbled back a little and looked “I’m sorry about that Cerin, are you alright?” John asked and went over to make sure the young adult wasn’t hurt. “oh, yeah I’m fine, but why do you seem so hurried and rushed?” The dragon asked his older brother. John sighed a bit and thought “I can’t find out where father is, he wasn’t in his room. And I know that he’s still in the castle because I can sense his power still waiting somewhere, but its blocked by some barricade I can’t see past.” John told him. John had the power of telekenetics and psycho-kinesis, meaning he was able to see things elsewhere and find locations he had been to, and know if something was disturbing the area.\n\n\tCerin thought and shrugged “I trust father is fine, he’s probably just make last minute checks on the gifts and whats going on in town later for the Christmas celebration. I say lets just go get breakfast and if he doesn’t show up during breakfast, we go search for him.” He told John. The gator sighed a bit, feeling worried but had to agree with Cerin, Inferno was a tough guy and has been through a lot, so whatever was going on it wasn’t like he couldn’t handle it. Before John joined Cerin back towards the dining hall, he went over to two rooms nearby, belonging to two of the retainers of the castle, Kevin, and Zero. He knocked on the door and heard a muffled “yes?” that sounded very sleepy and tired. It was coming from Zero, the Greninja retainer of Crown prince Mike.\n\n\t“Zero, we’d like you to join us for breakfast if you want.” John told the Greninja through the door, and got another sleepy, muffled “Yes.” From Zero, this time it sounded like an accepting yes rather than his previous confused and waking up one. John nodded and goes to Kevins room next, but before he could knock, kevin walked out and stretched “Got it, breakfast in the dining hall.” He smiled and walked off as if he had been eavesdropping, and with Kevin, it was a high possibility. John shrugged it off and headed back with the two, Zero looking up at him as he joined them “Looking for his majesty? You always seem to be searching for him and watching over him. Not that it’s a bad thing but do you ever just take a break instead of always watching over him? He is an adult after all.” Zero asked John, who chuckled and leveled his glasses upon his face, “That he is Zero, but sometimes even the oldest of adults can be very childish, especially my father.” He smiled as they got to the dining hall, where Nomad and Saria had prepared everyone a large breakfast, as they gathered around the table.\n\n\tZero sat beside Mike, which was normal since unless he was in the bath or asleep, he would never leave Mike’s side. John sat beside a cat girl and a fox girl. The black cat was his younger daughter Anna. “Good morning papa, did you sleep well?” she asked John, who smiled and nodded “I did sweetie, thank you. What about you sophie?” he turned his head and saw Sophie was building a mini robot on the table and he rolled his eyes “Sophie, what have I told you about making little machines at the table?” he asked the older daughter, the fox girl. “I know you’ve told me to not do them here, but this one will help auntie Saria and gramma Nomad. It’s a server bot, it will go around the table and bring people anything they want, like , say you want the syrup but its all the way by Uncle Zero, I just press the button the and machine will go and bring you the syrup if Zero isn’t using it.”\n\n\tAnna slightly coughed “Nerd!” to make it like she said nothing, both John and Sophie ignored her and john smiled checking out the little gadget before him. “This is really good Sophie, and it’s very thoughtful to Mother and Saria.” He praised his baby girls work and set it down next to her plate. Inferno walked into the dining hall and took his seat at the end of the table, where he was always sat because he was the current ruling king. Kevin, who was beside him, looked over “where have you been? Zero and Mike dug in, as with the others. Anna was the slower of the kids to eat, due to her liking of the dark, she sometimes preferred to be at her own pace, even though it was Christmas. Sophie slung a small piece of egg at her sister to get her to react, and Anna just chuckled softly and rolled her eyes at her older sister, and kept eating. Inferno looked at everyone and smiled seeing them all so Cheery, with the war finally over and the true villain defeated, everyone was at piece and they could live normal lives without having to go to war with a random dark force. Inferno sighed happily and started to eat his own food with a smile on his face, he glanced to his left and saw his husband sitting close to him and they smiled at each other. Inferno leaned in and kissed the fox on the cheek, making the fox blush in shock, but giggles.\n\n\tOnce everyone had finished eating, they all went and gathered in the largest room in the house which was a normal living space, which had their tv and gaming stuff all set up and it was just a relaxing area for them all to hang out. Inferno passed out gifts from everyone, and watched as they all opened them happily. He had gotten every family member a gift that went with who they were. Mike had gotten a sheath for his sword Felorine, as well as a book on tactical leading in the kingdom and on the battlefield. Kevin had gotten a new sword since his enchanted one was sacrificed in the final battle, leaving it shattered and useless. And gifts just like that to either fix what the war took, or to give them extra to fit their personality.\n\n\tAfter all the gifts, had been opened and everyone had gone off to use the stuff they had gotten elsewhere, Inferno looked at his husband, who was the last person in the room with him, beside Inferno’s retainer Marik, who always kept a close eye on Inferno, as he had protected him since he was a child. Inferno took out a small wrapped gift for Chris and handed it to him. The fox opened it immediately and gasped at what he saw. Inside was a locket in the shape of a heart, but it was a green and red heart, to represent the colors to duo likes. Chris looked at it and on the back, it read “Chris and Inferno, lovers to the moon and back, for years to come.” He opened it and saw a photo of when both were little kids before they were dating, going to preschool, and on the opposite side, it was them now, happy, grown and married with a happy family. Inferno sighed happily and started to eat his own food with a smile on his face, he glanced to his left and saw his husband sitting close to him and they smiled at each other. Inferno leaned in and kissed the fox on the cheek, making the fox blush in shock, but giggles.

\tOnce everyone had finished eating, they all went and gathered in the largest room in the house which was a normal living space, which had their tv and gaming stuff all set up and it was just a relaxing area for them all to hang out. Inferno passed out gifts from everyone, and watched as they all opened them happily. He had gotten every family member a gift that went with who they were. Mike had gotten a sheath for his sword Felorine, as well as a book on tactical leading in the kingdom and on the battlefield. Kevin had gotten a new sword since his enchanted one was sacrificed in the final battle, leaving it shattered and useless. And gifts just like that to either fix what the war took, or to give them extra to fit their personality.

\tAfter all the gifts, had been opened and everyone had gone off to use the stuff they had gotten elsewhere, Inferno looked at his husband, who was the last person in the room with him, beside Inferno’s retainer Marik, who always kept a close eye on Inferno, as he had protected him since he was a child. Inferno took out a small wrapped gift for Chris and handed it to him. The fox opened it immediately and gasped at what he saw. Inside was a locket in the shape of a heart, but it was a green and red heart, to represent the colors to duo likes. Chris looked at it and on the back, it read “Chris and Inferno, lovers to the moon and back, for years to come.” He opened it and saw a photo of when both were little kids before they were dating, going to preschool, and on the opposite side, it was them now, happy, grown and married with a happy family. Chris hugged Inferno close, and kissed his cheek “I love it Inferno, it means so much to me, and I’ll always keep it close to me.” Inferno smiled and held the hug, it was what he wanted to hear most.
