Warning: This contains Sonadow, sappy shit, slight angst, and straight up porn.\n[/b]\nThe morning sun beamed through the cracks in the curtains, proudly, as the day began to start. The light filtered in and bounced off the crystal dangling in the window making the room glow with rainbow flecks.\n\nThe rays hit Sonic’s eyelids and forced him to turn the other way. His warm body met another as he scooted away from the light. Burying his face into the warm, white fur, of Shadow’s chest before he let out a tired groan.\n\n“Sonic,” Shadow whispered gruffly.\n\nA blue ear flicked up to the soft voice. “Mrg,” Sonic groaned in response. Wrapping his tan arms around a solid black body, making no move to even try and get up.\n\n“It’s already 9 o’clock. It’s time to get up.” Shadow pushed, trying to get away from the death grip he was in.\n\n“Nooo, it’s Sunday.” Sonic whined in protest, pulling his lover against him once more. He buried his muzzle into a dark neck and sighed. His ears drew back as he felt a hand run through his quills, forcing a purr to come out of him.\n\nShadow sighed.\n\nHe should have known the blue blur would be like this today. [i]He[/i] had already gone for a run, made breakfast, and did his morning routine, while this idiot was sleeping. “Fine. At least get up and eat some breakfast. Then we can go back to bed.” He huffed before prying the hands off of him and sitting on the edge of the bed.\n\nSonic’s stomach growled at the thought of food and he practically jumped up. “Sounds good to me!” He said before bounding into the bathroom to freshen up.\n\nShadow growled. “What a faker. Always playing innocent until he gets what he wants.”\n\nThe black and red hedgehog got up from the bed and started making it. He pulled the sheets down and started to fluff up the pillows. He placed the sheets over them and put the decorative pillows over those before smoothing everything down.\n\nAfter every crease was out, he started to make his way down.\n\n“Wob yo maf for brefast?” Sonic tried to say as he brushed his teeth. \n\nShadow grimaced outside of the bathroom door, making a face as his ears went back. “Don’t talk with your toothbrush in your mouth. Be civil for once in your life. And I just cut up some fruit.” He snapped back.\n\nSonic rolled his eyes and spat out the paste. After washing out his mouth, he combed through his messy quills and washed his face. Finally, he put some cologne on and left to get his much needed breakfast.\n\n—\n\nThe two hedgehogs enjoyed their morning in a peaceful silence. For once it was slow and calm, just how Shadow liked it. It was mornings like this that made the black and red hedgehog appreciate everything the world had to offer.\n\nSonic munched on juicy pieces of fruit and sipped on his blueberry protein shake. Shadow didn’t care for the stuff, so he sipped on his coffee and ate his toast. All the while reading some papers G.U.N had assigned him for the week.\n\n“So, what do you wanna do after we finished lazing about?” Sonic asked.\n\nShadow checked the clock, noticing the time. “I have to go food shopping. We don’t have any more bread and milk, and I need to pick up a few more things from out.” Shadow said absentmindedly.\n\n“Can I come along?” Sonic perked up, tail wagging slightly as he popped a grape into his mouth.\n\n“Absolutely not.” Shadow snapped. “Last time we went food shopping you almost crashed the cart into an elderly woman.” Red eyes boring into the blue male. \n\n“Yeah, but I didn’t!” Sonic retorted, staring down his lover as well, hands on his hips.\n\nShadow sighed. “My answer is no. You can text me if you need something.”\n\nSonic huffed and crossed his arms, pouting angrily. “Boo. You’re no fun, Shads.” He grumbled before starting to wash his cup.\n\nShadow ignored the comments and followed soon after, rinsed out his dirty dishes. By his side, Sonic grabbed a washcloth and cleaned the kitchen island. The two worked in silence, until Shadow was almost done with drying the dishes.\n\nSonic leaned back on the counter and watched his lover. Thinking of all the times he wasn’t able to just sit back and enjoy the view.\n\nThat is until emerald eyes caught something that had always made Sonic’s knees buckle.\n\nThere, on Shadow’s back, he could see it. A long diagonal scar that went from black back spikes to his hip.\n\nIf anyone didn’t look hard enough, it was barely noticeable. Since his fur was also dark, it was practically invisible. But the fur that tried to cover it was sticking up in all directions, making it easier to spot. Sonic also knew better since he had touched it on several occasions.\n\nSonic knew the scar was there, and he tried to ignore it most of the time. The blue blur had scars of his own, yes, but he could only imagine the pain that Shadow must have felt. The scar was deep, and would probably fit better on a dead body instead of a living male.\n\nThe urge to reach out and touch was strong. And he knew he could touch Shadow anywhere, but Sonic didn’t. Feeling as if he’d invade his lovers personal space and poke into the past. Sonic felt like he couldn’t do it without asking.\n\nSonic swallowed the lump in his throat. “You ready to get back upstairs?” He called out before turning his back and making his way up. Shadow said nothing as he followed; stairs creaking as the two males walked to the bedroom.\n\nWhile Shadow went to brush his teeth, once again, Sonic sat on top of the sheets. Thinking about the scar as he bit his lip.\n\nAfter the black and red male joined him, they sat in comfortable silence.\n\nSonic was finally able to think about his upcoming day and making a list of things to do, while Shadow just focused on breathing normally. He was going to have a busy day tomorrow so it was nice to relax and think about nothing.\n\nAfter a bit, Sonic snuck a peak at his boyfriend. Ear twitching as his emerald eyes fell upon the other hedgehog.\n\nShadow had his eyes closed as he basked in the sunlight. His black and red fur was glossy and shiny under the light. His dark ears were drawn back a little and his nose twitched occasionally. His hands peacefully laid in his lap and his chest rose softly.\n\nHe looked beautiful. So peaceful and calm, it was somewhat jarring. \n\nSonic couldn’t look away. He knew his boyfriend was handsome, but in these moments he was perfect.\n\nThe scar on Shadow’s back flashed through his mind making him uneasy. \n\nSonic breathed in. “Shadow?” He said, somewhat shyly. \n\n“Hm?” Shadow responded, a black ear flicking to hear whatever the other had to say. \n\nSonic fidgeted and decided to climb into Shadow’s lap. His thighs opened so he could straddle black and red striped legs. Body pushing against a strong build as he looked into his lovers red eyes.\n\nShadow didn’t say anything, he just put his hands on the blue blurs hips. Gently rubbing his hip bones with his thumbs.\n\nSonic cleared his throat. “I uh–know we don’t say this kind of stuff a lot. But–“ He stalled, looking away at the sheets.\n\n“What is it?” Shadow asked, voice holding a small amount of concern. His ears perked up even more.\n\n“Shadow,” Sonic whispered. “I love you.” He sighed. “I really do.” Sonic pressed on genuinely. \n\nShadow was taken aback with how raw it sounded. His eyes widened slightly as he tried to gain his speech back. “What’s bringing this on?” Shadow questioned, eye bridge raising.\n\nSonic chuckled. “Oh,” he said nonchalantly. “Ya know,” he finished, draping his arms around black shoulders.\n\n“I obviously don’t.” Shadow grumbled, sliding a hand up blue sides, messaging up and down gently. It was obvious to Shadow there was something on Sonic’s mind since he was biting his lip and not meeting his eyes.\n\n“Sonic, come on. What are you thinking about?” Shadow asked, gently taking Sonic’s chin in his fingers to look at him. “What’s gotten you so distracted, hm? You’re usually not like this.” His other hand clamped down instinctively as he felt Sonic tense.\n\n“Shads–“ Sonic tried. Shadow waited patiently as the blue blur breathed out. \n\n“It’s your scar.” He finally confessed.\n\n“My what?”\n\n“Your scar, Shadow. The one on your back. I know I’ve asked about it before, and I shouldn’t pry. But it’s been on my mind since I saw it this morning and I just can’t get it out of my head. And I just–“ Sonic started to babble, not even taking a breath as he talked.\n\n“Sonic, calm down.” Shadow snapped, slightly irritated with all the unnecessary words.\n\n“Sorry…I just wanted to know. But, you don’t have to tell me.” Sonic spoke softly. Eyes cast down as his arms still held the black and red male close.\n\nShadow sighed before speaking. “It was an experiment, like many of my other scars. I’m assuming you’re speaking about the long one, not the little ones. That one in particular was a test of how much pain I could take.” He grimaced, remembering the pain all too well.\n\nSonic breathed in quickly. “I wish you didn’t have to go through such hardships in your life. I know it shapes a person, but still.” He said, gently caressing Shadow’s muzzle as he leaned in. He kissed his boyfriend's cheek, before kissing his tan lips. Soft and slow, like it was barely there.\n\nShadow pulled away first. “It’s alright, Sonic. I know you have your fair share of scars as well.”\n\n“Yes but–you have…so many.” Sonic whispered, bringing an ungloved hand to his lover's shoulder. Gently running his fingers over the fur that was there. Shadow agreed with a hum, liking the gentle touch.\n\nSonic’s eyes lingered, and so did his hands. Fingertips brushing over every scar they could find. “This one?” Sonic whispered.\n\n“Training.” Shadow spoke.\n\n“And this one?” Sonic said, running his fingertips along a scar on Shadow’s abdomen.\n\n“Experiment.”\n\n“This?”\n\n“Bar fight. The guy was drunk and used a broken bottle as a weapon.”\n\nSonic gently touched over a small scar over his boyfriend's ribs. His blue brow ridge lifting as he patiently waited for the explanation.\n\n“Mission.”\n\n“This?”\n\n“Again, experiment.”\n\nSonic made a small noise. His ears drooped before he leaned down to kiss Shadow’s shoulder scar. His lips feather like, before tailing the kisses to Shadow’s collar bone. Then moving to his arm and bicep.\n\nShadow watched with loving eyes, breathed heavily as Sonic lifted up his arm and kissed his forearm. Eyes closed and brows furrowed as he did so. He made sure to kiss as many scars he could find. Small or large, his lips ghosted over them. He wishes his kisses could make them disappear but they never did.\n\nGreen eyes met red before Sonic gently kissed the small cut on his lover's forehead. And with that, Shadow closed his eyes. Breathing out deeply to enjoy the moment. Feeling as if all his worries melted away as the warm body pressed against him.\n\n“I love you.” Sonic barely whispered against a black, triangular, ear.\n\n“I love you too, Sonic.” Shadow whispered back, voice almost wavering.\n\nThe two males’ lips met once again. Sonic’s hands eager to touch everywhere he could reach, while Shadow gently laid blue down onto the sheets. The moment turned intimate as they kissed and touched.\n\nShadow bit gently on Sonic’s bottom lip. Forcing a soft moan to be swallowed up by the hedgehog. While their tongues danced, a strong black hand moved down Sonic’s tan chest, squeezing the flesh softly.\n\n“Shadow,” Sonic whispered, pulling away so his neck was open.\n\nThe black and red hedgehog wasted no time in biting into blue fur.
