Now, don’t misunderstand me - this hero loved to save people, and act in the best interest of the people around him! If somebody needed help, he was more than happy to be the one to give it.
The problem was, Jake needed a house. And to have a house, he needed money. And the thing was, saving people didn’t often come with its physical rewards. No, understand - he was okay with that! But he needed to cover the expenses somehow.
So he’d made it a point to hunt for treasure whenever he could. It wasn’t greed - not avarice. But it had become something of an obsession. Perhaps the other adventurers hadn’t quite understood it, but just the way he would jump whenever the group would run into a treasure chest - it gave him a reputation.
Jake the treasure tracker! The beggar! The frugal cleric! No, it didn’t stop him from finding a proper spot on a team - but it didn’t stop the giggles, either. It was rather embarrassing, being made to feel as if he was needier than the others - to be seen as money obsessed, vain and materialistic.
But it never, ever stopped him from getting as excited as he did to go from treasure chest to treasure chest. He’d have days where he’d simply go into a dungeon for the loot, and nothing else. How could he not express joy at the promise of riches? Every single discovery had a stake in his fate!
Even something as simple as a basic, ordinary wooden chest would bring him a taste of happiness. It had been unopened, after all, and that meant that it was free for the taking.
Would it be riches? New weapons and equipment? A cursed trinket? Even if it had been cursed, he could simply have the evil removed - and then it would be his to sell. It hadn’t mattered what was inside, for the promise of financial stability was all it took to placate him.
And perhaps that is why it hadn’t immediately alarmed him when he felt his body radiate with a strange, unfamiliar warmth. The warmth was nice - it paired with his excitement as bread and wine might.
Although, he was used to physical rewards, and it took him a second to realize that this warmth seemed to precede any recognition of the chest, or the loot that existed inside it.
That’s right, hold on, nothing was inside that chest. If anything, he would have been deeply disappointed, if he’d been paying attention. And yet, his excitement seemed to remain - and in fact, he was so overjoyed, he felt as if he could hardly control himself…
“Aw, feel good, little hero man~?”
Strange. He could have sworn he’d heard something. He should have, by any stretch of the words, felt alerted, endangered. Yet, his slowly dwindling grip on reality progressed, as he slowly began to slump against that nice, comfortable chest, nodding.
“Wow, you’re really pathetic, huh? You know how weak this magic is~? Just how bad is your willpower?”
Will...power… no… he’d had plenty, he thought. Jake was a good person. He was a hero, who did the right thing for people when he could. Pure of heart - he should have been quite capable of resisting the temptations of a low level demon.
Oh, no, he must have been in control of the situation - all he’d been doing was enjoying the way the demon’s magic made his body tingle all over. The little ways in which parts of him would shiver. How empty, and naked he’d felt - his soul as exposed to the demon as his body was.
Surely, something as intimate as this couldn’t have been a bad thing. Oh, how strange it’d felt to let such an alien force play with his spirit. He could feel the demon’s fingers press against his soul, gripping, squeezing - oh!
Fuuuuuckkkkkk! His tongue flopped right out. No, not there! Oh, oh no! That wasn’t something that was meant to be played with! He was trapped, completely trapped and helpless to the evil spirit’s grasp! Wait, this was bad! This was so bad!
“Heeeee he heeee… I’m gonna fuck up your soul. And you’re just gonna sit back, relax, and keep being an obedient, pathetic whelp, while you let it happen.”
Jake blushed. Blushed?! No! That was his eternal soul! He was gonna - gonna ---!

He felt liiiiike puuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttyyyyy…
Oh, how to describe his soul getting caressed… fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck… what an experience. Oh, he should have fought back, but he’d never felt such a completely transcendent, oddly pleasurable experience before - oh, the pleasure! As the demon’s meaty claws grasped the soul, squeezing as hard and ruthlessly as it could, he felt like he wasn’t fucking there.
Every organ, every single piece of his body had been replaced by the demon’s touch - replaced, replaced by some spiritual equivalent to a fucking orgasm. Every body part was a part of some masochistic pleasure system - oh, he was going to hell, oh, he was going to hell for enjoying this.
If this was the power of the devil’s temptation - he was completely fucked, yes, yes, fill him with those evil thoughts, yes, he fucking loved hell - please, ruin his soul! Fill him with that eternal darkness! Make him a slave to the ultimate evil, his demonic masters!
It was too late for the goody two shoes! He was so tired of all that hard work, and no reward! Bah! Saving people? Waste of time! Fuck him! Fuck him with all the horrible, archaic evils the universe could possibly have to offer to him!
No more mortal! No more heroism! Please, ruin him, if he could be a low level scourge, he could feel this profound, delicious taint for the rest of eternity! Yes, this was right! This was fine, this was perfect!
“Wow, did you even try to resist? Look, you’re already as good as damned with that form.
Yes, oh fuck the gods, yes! He was fucking demon now! Oh, how good it felt to have his soul so broken, so played with, so twisted by the imp’s control! He could never, ever go back - his spiritual alignment now permanently and irreversibly decided for him.
“...Are you cumming? Are you that fucking lousy?”
He was pathetic. In every sense of the word. This had been an incredibly low level demon trap - the kind most adventurers would have been able to easily shrug off, with the simplest of magic protection. But not Jake. He was vulnerable. Lousy. Easy.
But he hadn’t been punished for it. No. This was exhilarating. He could feel his heart pounding! He had so easily let the demon curse him, in all of his weakness, his failed, meek attempts to resist the scoundrel’s tempting call of the void. He’d stared into the abyss, and the abyss was fucking hot. Hell, yeah, he was a demon! He was gonna be a good demon! An obedient one! He’d do whatever the masters told him to, no matter what it was!
Bye bye, hero man! Hello, hell! If it had been so easy for him to give in, it might as well have been fate, anyhow! Really, just absolutely, downright pathetic! Perfect for a lousy demon like him!
Yup, he recalled - he’d come in for treasure, hadn’t he? Well, he’d found it!
The best treasure of all.
