"description": "Last Tuesday I went and saw Home and I have to say, it turned out better then I lead it on to be. Lets get down to the basis.\n\nStory: After the Boov (alien species in this film) have taken Earth for themselves to live on, Oh accidently sends out an e-mail for everyone to attend his party, unfortunatly its sent out to everyone, including their enemies the Gorg (another alien species) Oh is then wanted and sentenced to being erased. While on the run, he meets up with a young girl named Gratuity (Tip) who survives the human obducion and teams up with Oh to find her mom. The plot is for the most part pretty solid, but can somewhat share similarities with Lilo and Stitch.\n\nCharacters: Oh (Jim Parsons, Sheldon on Big Bang Theory) is a misfit among his race since he is \"unique\" and all other Boov are the same and don't like to partake in the things that Oh likes and often feels like he is alone in his world. Gratuity \"Tip\" (Rihanna) is a young girl who gets seperated from her mom during the Boov invasion and is on journey with Oh to get her back. Captain Smek (Steve Martin) is leader of the Boov and quite full of himself often taking other peoples ideas and claiming them as his own. The characters for the most part get their job done for what they are, though the cast of characters is very small, probably the smallest cast list for an animated movie ever. I relate to Oh in a way cause I can be quite silly and love to sometimes go on a limb and speak in an off grammer pattern myself.\n\nAnimation: This films is definatly creative with its technology for the Boovs which relies heavilly on bubbles and such. The character animation is bright, colorful, stretchy, and all around pleasing to look at. It may not have the same polish as How to train your Dragon or Kung Fu Panda, but its certainly never boring or dull. I especially love the design of the Gorg leader who looks very menacing and cool.\n\nMusic: This one is quite interesting cause not only was their music conducted by Lorne Balfe (Skylanders and Penguins of Madagascar movie) but also has some music done by the group Stargate which have their funky beats fit rather nicely with the theme of the film and some of its situations that blend very good with it. Lorne Balfe for the most part gets the themes down nicely, though for the most part its quite passible.\n\nAll in all, I give this film a 7 out of 10. Its not a perfect or great Dreamworks films, but its certainly an enjoyable film then most critics lead it on to be. I say if you want a cute film, go and watch this. if you can't stand Rihanna or Jim Parsons, probably avoid this film.",
