"Hmm? What was that sound? There shouldn't be any incoming planes by now"
I stopped and looked into the sky, looking around for a familiar silhoutte of a plane incoming - even though the sound I heard was quite an unfamiliar sound for a plane.

There it was again! Almost sounded like a screech of some sort - definately not the sound a plane makes.
Scanning the sky and horizon some more I squinted my eyes at a small moving cloud in the far distant, seemingly coming closer to me. Tilting my head a bit I realized that this wasn't a cloud, it was something else, something that came closer fast at a remarkable speed. It had the outlines of a plane with "wings" on either side of its "hull" - but as it came even closer my eyes widened ... it wasn't a plane ... it was a giant bird!
"Oh my ... not good ..."
I said to myself, getting ready to run - fairytales of my co-workers and legends itself rephrasing themself in my head of a large and dangerous Pokemon, Lugia.
"Luuugiaaaaaa!"
It roared from the sky, having noticed me down on the runway as I started to run for the tower for shelter - even though I knew that I could never outrun its speed.
The tower was just another 400 meters away ... 300 meters ... 200 meters ... 100 meters ... until my tummy suddenly felt really sick and a mighty gust of air swept past me, letting me tumble forward and fall as Lugia flew over me with the force of an airplane, roaring its name once more.
As I laid there, panting and looking frantically up towards it, I saw that it made a sharp turn and came at me again. Settling myself on my butt I crawled backwards slowly, eyes fixated on the mighty beast as it landed right in front of me. Strong legs flexing themselv and clawed feetpaws crushing down on the runway on either side of me, creating a small shockwave that went through my whole body.
"Giaaaaa!"
It roared again, intimidating me with its power and might, fluttering its wings once and then folding them on its back. Lugia loomed over me, making me tremble in fear as its head came down towards me, making me cringe, thinking that this was it now, my heart beating like crazy, prepared for the inevitable crunch of its devastating beak on my head.
But it never came ...
"Lugia....gia"
All I ever felt was a slight nudge from the strong beak against my chest. Opening my eyes slightly I looked into its eyes, seeing a calm expression on its face. Chest heaving and heart beating a little less fast now I regained my composure as this big bird seemingly didn't have the intend to eat me.

I asked, mentally knowing that it probably wouldn't understand me anyway - rendering me amazed though as it nodded slightly - so it did understand me! I breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that my life wasn't in immediate danger anymore. Stretching a shaky webbed hand out towards the beak I stroked it gently, earning another nudge and purring from the large beast.
"Heh~~ friendly are you, yes? Well I am glad that you're not out here to hurt me. Although I am amazed and curious - never imagining that you even existed and now wondering what you would want here - or from me ... "
