They never tire, so be cautious when caught in their sights. They have been known to drag their victims down into a puddle of blood and drown them, in cases where a more direct assault proves fruitless.\n\nUsing stabbing, slashing and blunt force weapons against blood zombies is not advised. Only blood cells that are destroyed become removed from the collective and return to their natural state, so these weapons will inflict very little visible damage. It is recommended to use heat-based weapons to destroy as great of a volume of blood as possible. However, attempts to eradicate these creatures have failed in every scenario, due to their impressive capability to flee when confronted against such an effective attack. They can escape through even the smallest crack, or drain down into the dirt. It is theorized that these methods may enable them to ambush prey as well, but such attacks have not been reported.\n\nWith every new blood-starved husk (of man or beast) left behind by these blood zombies, their collective grows ever larger and stronger. It is not currently known whether there is a limit to their size, but every passing week more reports come in. Hard scales, armor or sufficiently tough clothing will often negate their attempts to pierce the flesh. They tend to take staggered motions, often appearing off-balance, much akin to the zombies they take their name from. Their strength is also limited, resulting in the creatures either relying on stabbing at weak points, employing their sticky grip, or using sheer size and weight to overwhelm prey. They never tire, so be cautious when caught in their sights. They have been known to drag their victims down into a puddle of blood and drown them, in cases where a more direct assault proves fruitless.
Using stabbing, slashing and blunt force weapons against blood zombies is not advised. Only blood cells that are destroyed become removed from the collective and return to their natural state, so these weapons will inflict very little visible damage. It is recommended to use heat-based weapons to destroy as great of a volume of blood as possible. However, attempts to eradicate these creatures have failed in every scenario, due to their impressive capability to flee when confronted against such an effective attack. They can escape through even the smallest crack, or drain down into the dirt. It is theorized that these methods may enable them to ambush prey as well, but such attacks have not been reported.
With every new blood-starved husk (of man or beast) left behind by these blood zombies, their collective grows ever larger and stronger. It is not currently known whether there is a limit to their size, but every passing week more reports come in. The situation may be more dire than we realize.
